I should go back to punch-out. Whether it's the NES or SNES version, Sandman always dropped my ass.
|
Might try to beat Castlevania.
|
Finished Killzone: Shadow Fall. Contemplating going through a couple more times. Once on hard, the other on easy to get the never die trophy. And to mop up any single player trophies I might have missed.
Although, I might jump back on PS3 and finish up Castlevania: Lord of Shadow and Mafia 2 trophies. Again, just to grab some stragglers I missed and get a couple quick platinums. And then there's Thief: Deadly Shadows....... |

Games Beaten in 2014:
Dead Rising 3- reach maximum level- 9.5/10 AC IV: Black Flag 8.5/10 Ryse: Son of Rome- 6.5/10 All I have left for the Xbox One is Call of Duty: Ghosts, but I think this is my last go round with Call of Duty, no one is on from my past to play with. My sons play it more now, that's good for them I guess. AC IV: Black Flag was real good, repetitive at times, but I felt comfortable knowing that I didn't have to do the main story all the time, there is other stuff to explore. I honestly don't know what I'm going to start now, I should finish Dishonored and Heavy Rain if I see fit to go back in time to past-Gen stuff. |
Giving The Walking Dead: 400 Days a whirl...got $5 MS Currency @ GameStop, but it had been so long since I downloaded anything I forgot that apparently I had 1600 MS Points, so it was converted to $20 MSC. I also went ahead and downloaded the first episode of The Wolf Among Us.
|
Platinum'd Mafia 2. Back at Lords of Shadow.
|
Pokémon X because I got stuck on AO after an hour and threw a strop.
|
Metal Gear Rising was good.
The Gameplay is great, albeit not for everyone with it's no blocking/counter only system. Outside of the gameplay though, there were a lot of flaws. Camera is ass. Extremely generic backgrounds. Game had very weird transitions from serious plot to over the top comedy. Like one minute Raiden is wearing a sombrero and poncho in Mexico, the next they're talking about harvesting the organs of children. Just wtf. The last boss is just assinine. Just ridiculously absurd saturday morning cartoon villain, in a game that treated the rest of it's villains much more seriously. This character is the last boss, despite the fact the he barely appears in the game before the fight, and despite the fact that Sam has more character development and more of a connection with Raiden. But like I said, the gameplay is still pretty awesome, and that's the most important part. Good stuff. Dunno what I'm gonna do next. Kinda want to play the FF 13 games, even though I know I probably won't like the first one. Never been able to just read a wiki on a game to prep for the sequel. I have to actually play it. It's the completist in me. |
I "bought into" FF13 and was able to play it the full way through even though it sucked. I started playing the sequel a few weeks ago and it felt honestly dreadful
|
Just beat the Back to the Future Telltale games. I had played Episode 1 and 2 way back when they came out, but then couldn't play 3 and on because I had to update my OS. Which I didn't do until only recently. Thus, I went ahead and now have played through them all.
I think it kinda falls apart after the 2nd episode. Just becomes way too convoluted, confusing, and "paradoxy". Still was "enjoyable" and also "good" to hear Christopher Lloyd's voice. |
Games beaten in 2014:
New Super Mario Bros Wii Grand Theft Auto V Besides some small nitpicks, ended up really enjoying the game. Currently Playing: LoZ: A Link to the Past Left 4 Dead 2 A few N64 games |
|
Playing Outlast.
On a related topic, I need to go buy some more underroos. |
I love Fables, so now after finishing Back to the Future, I am playing the first episode of The Wolf Among Us.
I really like the graphics/art, but I don't know man... I'm like an hour or so in and it just feels like a giant cutscene. Barely any "game playing" going on. Feel like I would much rather just read the story in comic book form. A choose your own adventure comic book. I will say that the fight at the beginning caught me off guard, though. Was not prepared for that game mechanic and was like "what the? Oh sh*t!". Took me a bit to catch on. |
Playing Zelda 1.
|
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Platinum'd!
Downloaded the demo for Lords of Shadow 2 yesterday. Probably take that for a spin later today. But I now have about a 1.5 week lull in gaming until the new stuff arrives. Back to Killzone: Shadowfall, I suppose. |
Games beaten in 2014:
New Super Mario Bros Wii Grand Theft Auto V LoZ: A Link to the Past Currently Playing: Halo Anniversary Left 4 Dead 2 Rainbow Six (N64)[/QUOTE] |
Somehow I defeated every boss from Level 1-5 and got every heart container extra and still don't have enough for the 3rd sword (12.)
I should have 13 but I have like 10. |
I am alternating between the following.
Toejam and Earl-got a Genesis emulator on my Dreamcast. Chrono Trigger-Got the great DS port of this. Trying to get all the endings. Swordquest Waterworld-Never beat this game back when I was a kid. So been trying to beat it now without using walkthroughs or FAQs. Rally X-One of my all time favorite arcade games. It would have been bigger but it has the misfortune of coming out at the same time as Pac-man.Been playing it on MAME. |
Fallout 3: Mainly heel run, but put over Megaton as a plan to kill them off later plus DLC will be played through if I get time
|
Yeah, I thought I'd wait and take out Megaton later on too. Since I took such a long break from it then dived back in, I had forgotten that I disabled the nuke and couldn't do it. I then just continued with the story, finished it, then found it wouldn't let me continue exploring places I hadnt yet.
Probably should created a new save slot just before the final Citadel stuff:( Gonna have to play through completely again. Games I'm working on: 360 FarCry 3 Fallout New Vegas Forza 4 AC Revelations Xbox One Forza 5 Dead Rising 3 (hate the time limit. I wanna just kill everything and rank as high as possible before tackling any of the Psychopaths.) |
Bought Strider off the PSN marketplace. It's fun.

Brothers- 9/10
Phenomenal. I advise everyone to try it out. I only took a point off because it's a little on the short side, and there isn't much replay value. But damn. It really says something when a little indie game like this, that doesn't even use an actual language, tells a way better story than all these multi million dollar big publisher games. Seriously, this one will stick with you for a while. The puzzles are all fun to solve too. GET IT |
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and Thief drop today and both aren't getting the reviews I expect. Kinda worried now. I'll be picking both up today and playing something.
More to come later. |
My girlfriend told me to hook my 360 up to a computer monitor, can't believe I hadn't thought of that before. So now that I have that back working I'll be starting on the last 2 Arkham games, Fallout 3, Dragon Age 2 and eventually Oblivion.
|
360 hooked up to a computer monitor? I think you're doing it entirely backwards.
|
It wouldn't be the first time, I prefer to do things the hard way. It builds character.

Played Thief at my buddy's house yesterday. It's fun. Got an open world kind of scheme to it. But the controls are kind of wonky. It'll take some getting used to.
Side note. Had the strategy guide on order from amazon for about a month and it never showed up. I checked this morning and it was already on back order. Complained to customer service and they gave me $10 off my next order. Canceled it and went to Gamestop and grabbed the only one they had. Dunno if this is a good or bad thing in gaming these days. |
Beat Valkyrie Profile for the first time in 10 years. Still love the hell outta that game.
|
God of War: Ascension
Bully ($2.49 FTW) Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid 2 Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker |
Assassin's Creed. Not yet beaten..
But I finished with Medal of Honor (2010 version). |
Gonna try Shadow of the Colossus for PS2 for the first time ever later on today methinks.
Now if I could just find someplace around here that had a copy of Ico... |
Dead Rising 3, every Sunday.
Resident Evil 4 HD on Professional with just a knife and flash bangs. Sell everything else I find aside from health items. Stuck at the part with two El Gigante's at the moment though. Might have to rethink this. |

Beta of Elder Scrolls Online for the weekend. Lagging pretty hard.
|
DuckTales: Remastered ^_^
|
Hot damn, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a fun game.
Definitely dumbed down from GRAW, to appeal to the COD fanbase, but for what it is, it's a blast. |

Games I've beaten in 2014:
Grand Theft Auto V Earthbound Zero Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Even though I mostly played this game in the 90's. Generic SNES Beat them up |
Forza 5 for xbox right now just waiting for Titan fall
|
I recently went back to Diablo III since the expansions patch opened up, but I also finally gave in and downloaded Marvel Heroes and DC Universe.
|
Started South Park: Stick of Truth and am absolutely speechless. The battle system is going to take some getting used to, but the story is over the top already.
|
South Park: The Stick of Truth is off to a great start here. It already exceeded my expectations. Runs like a champ on my PC
|
Just ordered a PS4! Despite me playing other games I really want to check out/buy South Park: The Stick of Truth.
|
Probably gonna play some Low G man on the NES
|
Getting an Xbone in a week, along with Titanfall and probably KI.
|
@STD - Nostalgiatastic!
I was going to list reasons, but screw that. It's worth the $15, if you've played the NES version or not. They got the cartoon voice actors for the cutscenes and banter and (thankfully) abolished the arbitrary timer from the original. Fun times. @Figgy - I've moved from "meh" to "prob'ly getting one at some point in the future" on the Xbone just on the strength of the Titanfall beta. Won't be getting mine as soon as yours, and will just have to settle sharing my buddies system. KI didn't do it for me. It's cool and all, I'm just not big on fighters. In the back of my head, I wonder if one of the Titan body types will resemble a Hellbringer from Battletech/Mechwarrior lore. I would love that. ^_^ |

Dead Rising 3. I am loving this game
|
Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze
|
Tekken Revolution and Spartacus Legends on PS3.
Winback: Covert Operations on PS2. One of my favorite games that I'm finally playing with updated graphics (and terrible voiceovers). Also the occasional Madden/MLB games to continue franchises. |
Red Dead Redemption
Prolly gonna reinstall and run back through gta 5 |
Secret of Evermore
|
Finally finished RE4 on Professional. The knife method wasn't viable with certain enemies so I said screw it. Now to run through it again, but should I do it with just the Chicago Typewriter, Handcannon, or the P.R.L.?
|
Just finished Dead Rising 3. Waiting for Infamous SS now.
|
The Last Agent DLC for DR3 came out today didn't it?
|
Switching between Titanfall and Thief. But when Infamous comes out I'll probably be just on that until I beat it.

Games beaten in 2014:
New Super Mario Bros Wii Grand Theft Auto V LoZ: A Link to the Past Halo Anniversary Started hating the game right around the Library level and the Flood ended up being a lot more annoying than good. Currently Playing: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Devil May Cry (PS2) |

Just finished The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Need a new game now.
|
Cursed Forest: A bit like Slender the Arrival except you collect stones and bones. The enemy is the black demon.
ANd I'm still stuck in the swamp with that red light floating around trying to get another bone item. How do you avoid that? Fuuck. tried hiding and not moving.. Nothing worked. |
Remember Me
Jesus christ what a gorgeous game. Just got into it and the combat is a little sketchy. Maybe it will improve when I unlock more combos. That said, the combo creator thing is neat. The memory remixing is a really cool little puzzle game. But again, this game has blown me away with it's visuals. |
Second Son time. WOOOOOOOOO
|
And thus begins my quest to become a hermit.
AkA reaper of souls. |
Thief is done. Pondering weather I should go back and earn the elusive "Finders Keepers" trophy. Or just jump head first into Second Son.

And the heroine looks like Halle Berry and Rihanna lovechild. |
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls
I'm killing demons and making sure ppl live ok |

It's a shame, because everything else so far has been great. I do like the custom combo system. That's fun to tinker around with. |
Playing Chrono Trigger for the first time in years and years due to finding out that I can emulate SNES games on my phone, and then the subsequent failure of Super Mario RPG to work and the success of Chrono Trigger working.
|
Chrono Trigger is timeless, no pun intended.
Still consider it the best JRPG ever made. |
Games I've beaten so far in 2014:
Darksiders 2 Next to Play: Almost finished with Dragon Age 2, then maybe finally getting around to playing Final Fantasy VII and the last 2 Arkham games. So many games in my backlog especially on Steam. |
Games beaten in 2014:
New Super Mario Bros Wii Grand Theft Auto V LoZ: A Link to the Past Halo Anniversary Devil May Cry Tough but was good with the only complaint being the fixed camera style also used in the classic Resident Evil games. Currently Playing: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood |
Beat Thief. Kinda meh.
Started infamous: Second Son. Sucker Punch should have kept this a bit longer. Found a game killing glitch. But thank god for autosave. |
THinking about picking up BF4 on Xbone.... but heard it is more or less broken. Any weight to those claims?
Currently loving me some Killer Instinct, and can't wait to try out Fulgore this evening! |
Elder Scrolls Online.
Beaten in 2014: South Park Stick of Truth Chapter 1-2 of Season Two of The Walking Dead. Psych the Game. Level 55'ed another character in Star Wars the Old Republic. |
Infamous: Second Son has been platinum'd. I wanna get rid of it. But also wanna keep it to see the end of Paper Trail. Some of the best DLC/interactive stuff I've played in a while.
After about a month of sitting on my shelf in plastic, I think I'll drop down to the PS3 and play Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. |
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, pretty much the same as the first
|
Borderlands 2 after what seems like an eternity. SMH @ how long I managed to fucking miss UVH Pack 2 (raises level cap from 61 to 72) and the 5 Headhunter packs that challenge you to basically try to kill overleveled enemies, i.e. you are level 61 and a majority of the enemies are level 62+).
|
Games I've beaten so far in 2014:
Darksiders 2 Dragon Age 2 Next to Play: Lego Batman 2 & Skyrim |
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls
|
Diablo III (no expansion yet - XBONE)
Warface Hitman just a lil bit Sacred Gold (GOG.com ftw) |
kind of hard to play Diablo III when it is not on XBONE
