Doctor Strange On The Big Screen:

Quote:

According to EmpireOnline.com, del Toro wants to bring Marvel's sorcerer supreme, Doctor Strange, to cinematic life. Del Toro's no stranger to Marvel movies, having previously helmed Blade II, which was scripted by David Goyer. Goyer, ironically, once penned a screenplay for a Doctor Strange movie, but that's not who del Toro has in mind to script his dream version.

"I talked with Neil Gaiman [about writing it]," del Toro told EmpireOnline. "I said, that's an interesting character because you can definitely make him more in the pulpy occult detective/magician mold and formula than was done in the Weird Tales, for example."

The filmmaker continued, "The idea of a character that really dabbles in the occult in a way that's not X-Filey, where the supernatural is taken for granted. That's interesting."

Del Toro warned fans, though, "I wouldn't use the suit!"

I really can't see a Dr. Strange movie not sucking ass. They'll "fix" it to be more blockbuster, like they did with Ghostrider and Constantine. Not that those movies sucked or anything (okay, maybe Ghostrider did a little bit), but it's silly to even do this, really.

Kalyx triaD 02-11-2008 09:34 AM

I see Doc Strange as a TV series.

Boondock Saint 02-11-2008 01:31 PM

Never been big on Strange.

I became a fan of Wolverine like everyone else. That's why I keep holding on to the character.

Leaked Hulk Image?:

I'm not saying this a leaked image of what the Hulk will look like in the upcoming revamp The Incredible Hulk; I'm not saying it isn't. Take it has you will.

IT looks like a statue at some sort of comic con

Lock Jaw 02-16-2008 10:49 PM

Yeah, that's totally not real.

Indifferent Clox 02-16-2008 10:52 PM

Judging from the banners above it looks like it's some sort of german comicon.

Why you no put comics in baggies? Loose comics make Hulk angry!

After some fishing, it turns out that there's a set of these pics. Peep the poster off on the side. This is the new Hulk design proper.

Kane Knight 02-17-2008 08:59 AM

Who was the retard who said that was German?

Also, I'm not crazy about the design... hopefully it looks better in non-statue form.

Merc With A Mouth May Have A Face:

Ryan Reynolds is rumored, strongly, to be appearing in the Wolverine solo flick as Deadpool. Deadpool is one of the superheroes Ryan showed interest in bringing to life (along with the Flash). It seems he got his wish, but nothing in the form of announcements were made concerning the official casting.

http://www.cosmomovieawards.com/acto...olds_blade.jpghttp://img125.imageshack.us/img125/1...dpool106nm.jpg

I dig it. Alot. This is almost Perfect Casting.

Blitz 02-19-2008 02:38 AM

Yeah this has been rumoured for a good while now. I agree, pretty perfect.

Shadow 02-19-2008 04:25 AM

The only way it could get any more perfect is if you put a young Bruce Cambell behind that mask.

Wonder how the yellow text balloons will work?

.44 Magdalene 02-19-2008 05:54 AM

Ryan Reynolds has been rumored to be Deadpool since the days of a Deadpool movie rumor

Don't know if I believe it or not.

For the record, there was also talk of Bruce Campbell playing Mysterio in later Spiderman movies

One could hope.

Now That's A Royal Flush:

And in more news that Wolverine's solo flick may pwn the parent franchise it came from proper; Taylor Kitsch [Friday Night Lights] is joining the flick as Gambit. Given the time setting of the film I'm thinking there will be some scenes set in the present with ol' Remy coming around. I've heard some filming was taking place down south, I should've guessed. This movie is turning into a vehicle for quite abit of muties.

Azriel 02-19-2008 04:24 PM

I could see Ryan as Flash, without a doubt in my mind. This Wolverine movie is sounding cooler by the minute.

Don't know if I believe it or not.

Well, believe it, as the cast has now been confirmed and it would appear to be official. Along with the previously mentioned Gambit thing.

Dominic Monaghan is also going to be in it appearing a character named "Barnell" who may or may not be Beak from the comics and there's also going to be appearances from Agent Zero/Maverick and John Wraith. Definitely going to be some Weapon X action in there.

Ray Stevenson's Deep:

In an interview with IGN Ray Stevenson [the new Punisher] says this about vigilantism:

Quote:

The state can still kill people, but we can't license individuals to kill people. We've advanced, as it were. Yet if somebody harmed my son, I would absolutely stop their seed. I don't think I'd be big enough, or magnanimous enough, to allow due process. And if they got off, how would I feel then? But where is the advancement if we constantly revert back to eye-for-an-eye, to the ancient law of retribution? Are you happy that he's out there, knowing full well that you'll never be a target? But what if you transgress? Where does he draw his line? And if we entertain, and at the same time hold up a mirror, then we're in…

Rammsteinmad 02-29-2008 02:37 AM

Wow, this Wolverine movie is looking to be awesome. Hugh Jackson is the coolest/luckiest guy in the world being able to play this character.

Danny Electric 02-29-2008 03:15 AM

I swear to God this buy better play a great Gambit or else I will shoot him :)

New Iron Man trailer: http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/02/...ches-holy-sht/

This looks amazing. I think its gonna be the first Marvel movie I'm going to see in theaters for a long time.

Little Wolvie Recast:

That kid from a bunch of posts ago? He's out. The new shooting schedule has him working on another film. The new kid to play as a young Logan will be Troye Mellet, appearently a hometown child celeb in a spot called Perth. Virtually unknown internationally, his casting mirrors Hugh Jackman's casting into the role of Wolverine. Fate isn't without a sense of irony.

Heros Welcome 03-13-2008 03:28 AM

Really enjoyed the Hulk trailer, def checking it out.

Rammsteinmad 03-13-2008 03:42 AM

This Hulk movie looks really different than the last one. I enjoyed the last one, so this one should be pretty cool.

Also just watched the trailer for Hellboy 2 and The Dark Knight. Hellboy looked awesome, Batman looked ok which is quite surprising. Considering how excited most people are for this film, the trailer didn't make it look so great to be honest. Still looks good though. :y:

Kane Knight 03-14-2008 01:53 PM

I'm not big on what they've done with Hulk in terms of animation, but I saw that trailer in High Def, and it was sweet otherwise. And I can put up with a shiny Hulk if the movie's good otherwise.

Kalyx triaD 04-21-2008 10:45 AM

Tony Stark Appears in Hulk:

Tony Stark will appear in the upcoming Hulk movie in a short cameo, presumely taking place sometime after the events of his own film.

Yes: He will be in a bar, and he will have a drink.

Spoiler in Black:

- If you're wondering why Tim Roth's character is commiting suicide in the middle of the trailer, let's just say he should have bought a circular shield to go with his drink. -

Rammsteinmad 05-02-2008 09:25 AM

Sorry, that spoiler doesn't make much sense to me. Please elaborate.

- He took some Super Soldier Serum (Captain America) before the 'abominable' change. Don't be surprised if they directly reference ol Cap seeing as how Marvel Studios wants to make the movie heroes aware of each other going into their Avengers project. -

I see. I knew you were referencing Cap, but I couldn't figure out what you were getting at. I thought you were saying that this character was gonna turn into Cap, which wouldn't have made sense as he's the Abomination. Cool. :y:
