Spiderman : Homecoming 10/10 |
Blade Runner 2049 - 9/10
Absolutely beautiful. |
Pearl Jam Let's Play Two 4/5. If you like their music and the Chicago Cubs, you'll like this.

Moviepass #8 Happy Death Day - 7.5/10 twas better than I expected
|
Blood Diner - I dont even know what to say about it other than if you like cannibalism, nazis, wrestling nazis, zombies, more canibalism, and the worst dubbing of an movie that was (I think) already in english in history, then its for you.
http://sheamagazine.com/wp-content/u...od-Diner-4.jpg Jimmy Hitler gives it 4 fingers because hes lucky no one ate them yet this scene fully describes how ridiculous it is NSFW: show |
Moviepass #9 Flatliners 2017 - 5/10
For starters within the next few months I'm going to end up needing open heart surgery so seeing a movie where a bunch of people decide hey lets stop our hearts inn the name of science probably wasn't great idea. All the reviews seemed to have the same idea..the movie feels pointless. I will agree and add to that the biggest pointlessness is Kiefer Sutherland having an extended cameo and not doing anything with him. But..anyway..it wasn't bad..it wasn't good..just felt like 100 minutes of pointlessness. I'm seeing Snowman tomorrow night. I might be bothered to see Geostorm too..I guess |
Moviepass #10 Snowman 6/10
Not as bad as reviews made it out to be but the killer reveal us dumb and the final confrontation is even worse. All the reviews say this is easily the worst movie theatrically released this year by a mile and a half..we'll see |
Spider-Man Homecoming-8/10
Favourite Spidey to date. Very light, whimsical, small in scale but thoroughly funny, enjoyable and entertaining. Small gripes include the Flash Thompson casting but whatever. This movie was fun as fuck. Michael Keaton is so great. Tom Holland was perfect. And Aunt May as a sassy Italian lady is so sexy. More please. |
Train to Busan - 9/10
Don't usually go for foreign language films but anything with zombies and I'll give it a go. This was easily one of the best zombie films out there, it had a great set of characters and the story was really gripping. |
Baby Driver-8/10
Fun thrill ride. Not too deep a plot or anything but very enjoyable and a great soundtrack. Driving sequences are well done. |

I don't like it when you make a post saying what movie you are watching and then later edit it to add in your score. Half the time I just forget about it. Sometimes I go "oh yeah Droford made a post" and then I have to scroll up to find it and see your edited post with the score. I suggest just not making the post until you are ready to rate it. |
there is so one, low postcount guy, who posts in here and doesnt even rate them...fuck that guy
|
The Babysitter - 8/10 - Netflix original horror/suspense movie. Not usually a fan of these types of movie, but I liked this one a lot. Basically a gruesome, inappropriate Home Alone.
|
Home Alone was appropriate?!
Those burglars would have died ten times over. |
Quote:
Id give it a 7/10. Thought it was entertaining |
It Follows - 7/10
|
Thor: Ragnarok 8/10
|
Moviepass #11 Jigsaw 6/10
Not terrible but if youre going to drag the Saw franchise out if mothballs after so long you'd think it's be better. Even the twist was kinda convoluted and silly at best. |
I'm thinking about seeing Nightmare before Christmas today..have never seen it and I can see it with my moviepass
|
Moviepass #12 Suburbicon 8/10 Just a notch less liked than Fargo mainly cause the characters aren't as good
|
American Made - 8/10
The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) - 6/10 Sandler with a very strong performance. |
Gonna go see Keep Watching tonight at 10.
Movie filmed 2 years ago and getting a 1 show 1 night release how bad could it be lol Edit - This is definitely the night I finally have a theatre all to myself..no way anyone else wants to see it |
A couple showed up 5 min into the trailers and judging by the noises I heard they probably didn't #keep watching
Moviepass #13 Keep Watching 5/10 kinda felt like the original Purge + Paranormal Activity + Standard House Iinvasion movie. 1 fairly inventive death. If you can get past the fact the bad guys basically can see everything because they wired up the house with more cameras than Big Brother..its ok. The ending was obvious and a cop out...and i have no idea who Bella Thorne is but she's ok I guess. |
Christopher Nolan's Following - 8/10
|
Moviepass #14 Only the Brave 8/10 easily the best of all the movies I've seen with MP.
|
Kong: Skull Island - 8/10
This was infinitely better than I had ever hoped for. I honestly thought this was going to be the worst Kong yet but it is easily my favourite now. John C Reilly just waltzes in there and steals that movie right from under everybody. Nobody fights it, they can all see how perfect he is in the role. I'm excited for Godzilla v Kong now. |
Thor: Ragnarok - 10/10
|
Where The Day Takes You
I found this on Netflix. It's about this guy named King who wears a leather jacket with a snake on it, and he leads this group of runaway white people that live on the streets of Los Angeles, one of them is a drug addict who wears a varsity jacket with a W on it played by Sean Astin. Hot Laura Flynn Boyle joins the group and she hooks up with King. King eventually gets into this spat with some other guy and that guy gets shot by one of the young guys in the group who has gay sex to get by which causes some drama. Kyle McLaughlin plays a drug dealer who lives in one of those rooms with graffiti on the walls and an incline bench press rack next to the couch. It's Will Smith's first movie as well apparently, he plays a guy in a wheelchair without legs. I don't know, it was basically a glorified episode of Melrose Place with a better cast but equally as melodramatic. Movies from the early nineties hit a specific nostalgic nerve with me though so it kept my attention. |
Silver Linings Playbook - 9/10
This film was so good, so well written and so fantastically acted that it made me like Jennifer Lawrence for a while and I really really fucking hate Jennifer Lawrence. Inception - 8/10 I'm glad I waited to see this. This was great fun. |
Chappie 9/10. Wonderful all around movie.

I gave it away because it genuinely messed with my head.
I think about death constantly and Chappie is not a good film for that sort of thinking. |

Moviepass #15 Geostorm 3/10
The only saving grace on this is that the effects look cool but everything else from acting to story just was plain stupid/awful |
Point Break - 6/10
Keanu Reeves is adorable. Now that I am at it, I might check out more films from the '80s and early '90s. |
Killing of a Sacred Deer - 10/10
Extremely dark with some comedic moments that pretty much went over most of the audiences head. Another classic from Yorgos Lanthimos. |
Watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Passengers tonight.
|
"I'm Mary Poppins y'all!"
Ahahahahaha |
Guardians 2 was really enjoyable.
|
Guardians 2 9/10
Passengers 6/10 Guardians 2 was excellent. Lots of solid laughs, a great villain, some great references and the action was once again top class. My only complaint was overuse of forced laughter. Some of it was tolerable but it wore thin very quickly with Drax the main culprit. |
Inside Llewyn Davis - 8/10
|
What are his outsides like?

Bad Moms 2: 6.5/10 - Women will love it, men will tolerate it to ogle Mila Kunis & Kristen Bell. Good for a few laughs and great to see with the missus and hope for a blowie later in the evening.
|
Thor Ragnarok: 7.5/10
I found it enjoyable, but a little lacking in the story department. Visually was very beautiful. The action sequences were well done. Had a gripe with the ending. |
Moviepass #16 Daddy's Home Two - 7/10 its funnier than the original primarily due to Mel Gibson..
|
Stuck On You - 7/10
Adorable, drunk, and biased. |
Hunger Games Mocking Jay pt 1-6/10
Performances were great. But the movie itself felt like a filler episode to set up part 2. Which I'm certain it is. Never noticed before but the score's pretty good. |
I never got into the Hunger Games movie series.
|
They're pretty good. Not the best but I'd say a little better than standard action blockbusters
|
Thor: Ragnarok
4/10 |
The Hunger Games is just Battle Royale for cowards with Jennifer Lawrence running around screaming for two hours.
Garbage. |
The first two Hunger Games were really average films. They weren't terrible, but they weren't good either.
The last two were bad, with the last part being especially terrible. |
They are terrible.
Divergent too. Maze Runner just about gets a pass because Will Poulter rules. |
Never seen divergent. I thought the first Maze Runner was ok. I didn't like the second one so much.... maybe because I accidentally watched it after getting a ticket to watch The Martian and going into the wrong theater.
|
I haven't seen Battle Royale in a long time..... I like the book and the manga better than the movie.....
|
The sequel was just horrible though
|
I don't really remember it all, but I remember thinking that.
|
Thor: Ragnarock 9/10
|
Daddy's Home 2 - 7.5/10 - Pretty good, same type of movie as the first but Mel Gibson & John Lithgow add a nice new wrinkle. Linda Cardellini is aging like a fine wine.....
|
Get Out - 6.5 out of 10. I don't see why it was so highly rated by everyone.
|
Seriously? I now rate it as nearly perfect.
Watch it again and see the silver spoon reference and the whole creepy ordeal becomes as clear as day. Get Out is a work of genius. A near perfect genre meld with suspense, horror and comedy. |
Come on, Ruien.
|
Moviepass #17 Thank you for your service - 7/10 couldn't really say its a great movie..just ok. Miles Teller reminded me of Peyton Manning the whole movie and he was in only the Brave and it was basically the same thing ("it shoulda been me")..
|
Get Out....meh...it was ok. 3.5/7
|
Murder on the Orient Express (2017) - 3/5
|
The Beguiled - 5/10
|
Shin Godzilla - 3.5 out of 5
Was decent overall but the English dubs used were pretty bad |
Moviepass #18 Justice league 6/10
I didn't think it was as good as BvS to be honest |
Justice League: 6/10
|
Moviepass #19 - Murder on Orient Express 6/10 with the quality of the cast I was expecting a better movie.
SPOILER: show |
Justice League - 8/10
|
Justice League - 5/10
|
The Accountant - 5/10
Disappointing. It starts great. Autistic accountant doing all kinds of wonders with numbers for criminals and regular people alike. No facial expressions as he's constantly focused so the casting of Ben Affleck is perfect. Then it turns into a Bourne movie and turns out the accountant is a master of martial arts, marksmanship and whatever you can think of. |
Justice League-6/10
Has all the same problems the two previous crappy Snyder efforts had; pacing and editing issues, character development and motive, and a compelling villain. THE GOOD 1. The team-this is the highlight of the film. The casting of the heroes and their chemistry together is top notch. They mesh well together. 2. Superman-they finally got him right. Allegedly, all or most of the scenes were Whedon reshoots, and he did in 20 minutes what Snyder failed to do in over 5 hours of film, and that's get the tone and personality of Superman right. 3. The Flash-this is a breakout role for Miller. He's been on plenty of movies already, but he's now in a big tent pole style movie, wear he steals almost every scene he's in. TEH BADZ 1. Steppenwolf-Good God he was fucking boring. A cardboard cutout of a villain with little motive, none of which was compelling, boring dialogue that came off as just rambling, and a horribly rendered cgi model that looked fake as shit. 2.editing/pacing-this is something Snyder has always sucked balls at. You just jump scene to scene with little if any set up. For instance, we get the scene from the trailer of Bruce removing his snow goggles, looking down on the bar in Iceland or wherever he found Aquaman. His lines about a stranger from the sea kicks in literally right after. You go from him looking down from the top of the mountain to him talking to the patrons. This could've easily been fixed by having Bruce walk thru the doors, a clear outsider, with the patrons stopping what they're doing to look at him as he walks thru the bar. He can get to the front, look around, and start talking. But they skip all that. This is the whole movie. It's one scene right after another. There a few scenes where the movie will slow down to let the characters breath, and those are the best moments. But they're too few and far between. 3. Stakes-there were non. Except for one family in the end. But you don't see how the worldis rearin reacting to Steppenwolf, to scientists being stolen, to the world seemingly about to end. It's all very....contained. In the Avengers, you see the teamsaving people but also see just how big a threat the invasion is to civilians. In Justice League, you don't get the sense anything that's going on is of much importance to the world. 4. Action Sets-they're boring, and uninspired. Outside of one scene involving Supes and the League, the action for the most part is meh. The end of the movie, with shoddy cgi, just drags, much like the last 2 efforts, and is really the least interesting part of the film. 5. Character development-sure, the characters are fun, but because the film is so short and they have to rush into setting up the team to battle Steppenwolf, you never get a chance to sit down and really invest in these characters. There are moments that give you an idea, and they're interesting, but the brisk pace and jumpy editing of the film doesn't allow these scenes to be fully developed. Especially Aquaman. As cool as he was, and as funny as a scene with him before the final battle was, he wasn't really fleshed out much or given much motive to be there. I gave Bvs the same score, as I feel from a film standpoint these movies are about the same in quality. In terms of watchability, however, Justice League, is a much better waste of time. It has great character moments and is light on the usual overbearing style of Snyder's attempt at dark and complicated and focuses more on trying to just be a simple crowd pleasure. Which is why I feel it's a very small but very certain step in the right direction. I wonder if this'll get a sequel. Affleck looks like he's all but done, but everyone else seems on board. So I'm interested to see if they somehow rebuild the train wreck Snyder has left them. Amazing he lasted this long. |
Justice League 6/10
|
Get out: 8/10
Was going lower until the 3rd act. At first its just a reimagining of the stepford wives but the 3rd act really let itself go to a dark place. The film's ability to shift gears so many times and remain not only cohesive but compelling is really impressive. |
The alternate ending would have made it a 9/10
|
What was the different ending?
|
SPOILER: show |
Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie 10/10
|
Godzilla (2014) - 3.5 out of 5
Found it better than Shin Godzilla overall but this film's Godzilla might have been on screen for less time than in the Shin film. |
Moviepass #20 Roman J Israel Esq. 8/10 - I don't see how Denzel doesn't get a best actor nod for this. Best of all the movies I've seen.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - 8.7/10 didn't go into this movie with any expectations but really enjoyed it. kept me engaged the entire time. Would have liked to see another final scene. Was surprised by how deep the cast was, every other scene a recognizable face is popping up.

Wild Hogs - 3/10
That was painful. |
Lol watched it with my dad once. Fucking ouch

Tim Allen as a biker is only a bit more believable than as a cage fighter.
