Did Naruto's 'All Grown Up' episodes hit here yet? I don't watch the show but I liked the jump in time, and it may have me play catch up with the series. Characters actually aging throughout a series is something I really like to see in animation (DBZ's Gohan being the most famous case). Bleach is something else I wanna catch up on, for some reason Rukia's design is 'attractive' to me.

no not yet, the first series is still playing here i believe (i rarely if ever watch dubs so i'm not 100% sure) It was awesome to see gohan go from a lil kid at the beginning of dbz, to 5 years old training w/ Piccolo, beating cell at 10, then teen gohan and Great Saiyaman, then being an adult in GT. Fuk u don't see character aging to that extent much these days.
lol personally i find inoue more sexy |

I think it's the hair. I usually wait for dubs, though the scripts gets hacked at times, I appreciate the efforts of our homeland studios bringing us some anime. Doing anime VO was a dream job of mine a while back (still kinda is). These days studios are much more respectful during translation, keeping original OP/Eds and scores as well as Japanese linguistics (-Kun, original names, pronunciations). |

yes and it's certainly good to see companies out here trying to keep anime's intact from the move from japan to a north american audience, it wasn't always like this tho ie. cardcaptors

lol I heard Cardcaptors got shredded, that and Yugio. I wouldn't have watched the series anyway but the changes were borderline disrespectful.

I'm watching way too much crap to mention and quite a bit burned away on DVDs that I still haven't touched.
However, some notable mentions are: Bleach, Naruto Shippuuden, Code Geass R2, Kure-nai, Nabari no Ou, and One Piece. Too bad Naruto and Bleach are in the middle of fillers right now Last edited by Vietnamese Crippler; 06-23-2008 at 12:06 AM. |

I got so pissed that they stopped it right in the middle of the Hueco Mundo arc, I just went online and downloaded all the chapters for the manga after the point they stopped

I'm not a hardcore anime lover but I do love Urusei Yatsura, Dragonhalf and Armitage III.
I've tried watching others but I didn't enjoy them. For Christmas, I got the Salaryman Kintaro box set. I think it's the entire series, actually. On Christmas morning, when I was opening my gifts, I picked it up as it was still wrapped and my mum tells me my sister told her I liked it so I begin opening it and the first rip reveals its an anime. Not enough to tell what anime it is but enough to know it is one. I instantly think it must be a bunch of Urusei Yatsura, DragonHalf or Armitage dvds and start mauling the wrapping paper to uncover more only to find out it's an anime I haven't heard of. I appreciated the gift and the fact it was anime (at least my family know what I like) and gave it a spin the next day. I think I watched the first two episodes but I never got round to it again. I might try it out again this week. Is it any good? I prefer quirky anime, usually. |

While we're here and since I mention Urusei Yatsura, BBC3 dubbed a few episodes for the special "Japanese Weekend" they had a year or two ago.
They called it "Lum the Invader Girl". Ataru was voiced by Matt Lucas from Little Britain and a few jokes where placed in that only those living in the UK would get. Ep1 Part1 (part 2 is missing) Ep2 Part1 Don't want to overload with videos so, if you want to see the rest of the vids, they're here: http://youtube.com/user/ZPBander |

I've heard of it but have yet to see it, i know its something about a guy who used to be the leader of a biker gang but retired to have a family and now is a single father since his wife died giving birth or something.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is definately my favourite show. I managed to watch it without knowing anything about it so I didn't know how much people rated it or about the stupid merchandising by Gainax so I was able to enjoy it for what it was.
Watched the first Rebuild Of Evangelion film a short while ago and it was incredible. Also a fan of .hack//SIGN, Ghost In The Shell (Film & Stand Alone Complex), RahXephon, Hellsing, Big O, Noir, Fullmetal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic, Death Note, Karas. |

I will only watch Anime if it is in Japanese with english subtitles.
That said, the only anime I ever liked: Gungrave Helsing Gundam Wing (the -original- series.. fucking badass) Afro Samurai (yeah I know.. not really anime in the traditional sense, and not in Japanese, but badass anyways) Samurai 7 (I think that's the name) And that's about it.. not big on it.. absolutely hate the kiddy-style stuff with over-exaggerated expressions and retarded characters. I dig more of the gritty realistic, or crazy dark stuff ala Gungrave or Helsing. Last edited by Requiem; 06-30-2008 at 01:09 AM. |

I love gritty realistic series like monster and dark shows like helsing and elfen lied but also love funny and or romantic comedy's like love hina for instance. I like to watch pretty much any genre of anime except for yaoi and most mecha. |

I found the blood + movie awesome and the series boring as hell, both GITS movies are worth seeing but I haven't seen much of Stand Alone Complex (the series) to know how good it is.

Yes i am a nerd. If you havent watched Evangelion then you're a fool. Cowboy Bebop also owns, as does Gungrave and Trigun. I havent seen any blood+ stuff. Ghost In The Shell movies are ok. Pretty over-rated in my opinion. 2nd one was better than the first. |

Ghost in the Shell is the shit. The first movie is cool and the second season of the series (2nd GIG) is special to me.
Can someone explain Deathnote to me in 50 words or less? I've yet to catch on to the series. |

Am I the only one that found Ghost In The Shell dull?
Maybe it's because I prefer bizzare, weird, funny, quirky stuff but I just didn't think much of it. |
