Great googly-moogly, things keep getting gloomier and colder as the year comes closer to an end. The forums are also acting more and more screwy. I'm lucky to still be able to do this business. Through hellfire and brimstone, I will bring you Rate the Game! Unless, I'm like, pretty sleepy. What say we dive right into things, huh? Last week, we took a look at the sequel known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Its predecessor fared pretty OK, although it's languishing amongst the fairly average on the list. Did Activision present us with a follow-up that would rock our socks off? Let's have a look....
With an overall score of 4.4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 shoots way past its predecessor and falls on the number 21 spot on our leaderboard, being a much more beloved game amongst those of us who played it, and being the highest rated Call of Duty game so far.
Number 21 is just 11 spots away from the real glory, though. It came so close to being established as a top tier game. Perhaps our next game will have better success? Roll that beautiful bowl footage!
Thanks for all you do, bowl. Here on tap for this week is a return to the world of the Dark Knight and the city of Gotham, emphasis on 'city'. The asylum wasn't enough to contain the imaginations of Rocksteady employees when it came to the Caped Crusader. This week we're doing another sequel, this time we slip back into the Batsuit and root out the criminal element in a much larger environment than before. It's Batman: Arkham City! Batman: Arkham Asylum, in my view, kind of underperformed here on Rate the Game, but maybe things will be different this time around? Does this game make for a worthy and superior successor? Is it enough to do Batman justice as a character? How about it, you all? Let's hash it out here and we'll see how things go. Until next week!
No matter what may happen to me, just remember Lzzy Hale gave me the bedroom eyes...
