Rate the Game: Week 158
Oh, it's another Tuesday. Any of you joining the presidential race for next year's election? It's hard to keep track of all that. Luckily, Rate the Game is a much easier endeavor to follow! Just look at all these great (?) titles on that list below. It's got numbers and everything. It's also going to get last week's Mario Party added to it! Where does the hit Nintendo party game end up after all is said and done? Let's have a look.
Phew, it's been a while since I've done that much editing to the list. But that's good news for Mario Party because that means it claims a spot pretty high up on the leaderboard. Specifically, Mario Party lands at slot number 33 and takes home a very respectable score of 4.125. I thought it'd be more polarizing than that, but Nintendo Power evidently runs strong through our veins here on TPWW. Is more editing in my future with our next game this week? Or am I going to finally change what's in that last spot on the list with one fell swoop? I'm giddy just thinking about it. Come on over here, bowl!█ Oh, great, we're back to the fucking horizontal format with the .gif. I need to pay more attention to this shit when I'm recording. But don't worry about that. Worry about how this week's game is one of the first titles that helped launch the Sega Saturn way back in 1995. We discard planes, jet fighters, space crafts, and other aerial mechanical marvels, and we embrace the thrill of soaring atop majestic beasts. It's Panzer Dragoon! Nothing from the days of the Sega Saturn has really strutted their stuff here on Rate the Game, but maybe this spin on the shooter genre will be different? Let's do a deep dive and examine how it fares amongst us. Until next week! No matter what may happen to me, just remember Lzzy Hale gave me the bedroom eyes... ...again. |

One of the most fun fighting systems I've played, at least for the time.
I remember getting close to the end, but not having enough shit to ward off poison or something, I think?? That's it - the rest of my memories are gone. |

Fucking HA!
1000000% got this confused with Legend of Dragoon. Panzer Dragoon was terrible. I only played it on the Sega systems that were on display in Toys R Uso or KB Toys. Chane my 4 to a -1 |

Never played it.
That's one of those type of games where I have had some interest over the years in potentially playing or buying but never enough to actually go through with it. The only rail shooters I own and have played the most are The Punisher on the NES and Sin & Punishment Star Successor on the Wii. |

Spoiled kid my brother and I grew up with had a Saturn and a demo disc with Panzer Dragoon on it. That's as much as I played.
But it wasn't the complete game. So, I put my vote in the never played column. |

LOL @ checking in on this one to see it still sucking the meat missile. So strange considering the hype it got, leading the charge for the Saturn and its release.

Seemed more like a "tech demo" on rails tbh.
