Rate the Game: Week 167
Hey, you all. I may be shivering and bundled up, but all of this extra work is keeping me moving around and busy and warm. Welcome to another edition of where the hot stuff is. It's Rate the Game, now in week 167! Last week called for us to pull double duty as we looked at two games: Donkey Kong and Fatal Fury, two games that are drastically different from one another, but both occupying a special place in our hearts. Now to see what spaces they occupy on our leaderboard. I am pleased that I can make new additions to the list after our little hiccup a while back. Behold...





Both of our quarter-munching companions rank slightly above average. Donkey Kong gets a decent 3.33 score, with Fatal Fury getting a slightly better position with a 3.4. If you could combine the two concepts into one game, I'd sure it'd be amazing. Imagine the Bogard brothers hopping barrels from Geese Howard at the top of a building and then kicking him off of it instead of just moving on to another screen. And they'd have hammers.

Anyway, let's continue on, shall we? Give us the goods, bowl...

Time for another more modern entry. Hopefully, it's in a much better position than Alien: Isolation and a good chunk of you guys enjoyed it. Or maybe you didn't enjoy it? Let us know! It's FarCry 3! Let's do the rating thing and we'll see you next week. No double voting on the other forums.

This was the first game of the series that I knew about, having never heard of it before. It didn't look all that interesting, but my friend swore by it. Of course, he also swore by Fallout 3 so I have to take his recommendations with a grain of salt. I know the sixth entry is the latest one. I wonder if the others are good.

3 is great.

4 was bad.

5 was a nice rebound.

New Dawn (Sequel to 5) was fun.

Never played 6. But it's the "same old same old" now.

The spin-offs like Blood Dragon I never played but heard good things. You gotta look into those.
