Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - 8/10
Entertaining, but felt like it was missing something. Maybe it's because I don't care for Michael Cera any more. He has to play a hipster musician in all of his movies now. Grown Ups - 3/10 Adam Sandler should just stop making movies for now. |

really liked Grownups
Wicked Little Things: 6/10 I'm going to be watching a ton of these horror movies that never made it to theatres. Basically, a bunch of kids die while working in the mine in the early 1900's or whatever. They come back as zombies and haunt the town and kill people. Mom and 2 daughters move into the town where this happens and it goes from there. I enjoyed it for what is was. Did you here abou the Morgan's: 4/10 Meh, not very good. It did have a couple one liners that made me laugh, but it was kind of out there and seemed like it dragged on forever. If you are a Hugh Grant fan, then by all means see it. I was looking for something to watch with my wife yesterday. |

Saturday Night Fever: 7/10
-Yeah, I'd never seen this before a few days ago. Really enjoyed it and it's easy to see why this movie made Travolta a star. I hate him and his friends though - want to gut them each with a fish hook and spill their blood and shit all over their stupid disco suits. Aggrivating fuckers. The Sorcerer's Apprentice - 6/10 Good production value, shitty story. I like the main kid in most of his movies but this one just felt like he was trying way too hard to be that "awkward kid." Nick Cage did his best to bring something interesting to the movie, but it just wasn't enough. He was probably the thing I liked about the movie the most, as the guy could play the role of a paper bag and make it interesting. |

^ 7/10 Fucking sick movie. I'm surprised Chester of Linkin Park was IN THIS ONE!!! And he has the MOST BRUTAL BOOBY TRAP. A car ready to start on running over his girlfriend underneath the car jack and trying to UNGLUE HIMSELF FROM HIS DRIVER SEAT LIKE A FUCKING SUPERGLUE REALLY DID THE WORKS. Seeing Chester being to peel off the whole back of his skin cos it was soooo sticky was fucking painful to watch. Same goes with the eye gouging traps and the Chainsaw glass cage! Black Swan - 110/100 % and 10/10. Best parts: Natalie masturbating and she had lesbo blowjobs with Mila. I even enjoyed her literal transformation into the movie title itself... Really does live up to its name! I also like the black swan costumes worn by the mysterious guy in her dreams and I liked how The Black Swan is always associated with animalistic evil characteristics of the human psyche. Is it any wonder why the ballet teacher insisted on making her Black Swan character REALLY LET GO all emotional stress and anger and rage.. The ballet soundtrack was fucking overwhelming. You can almost feel the EVIL BLACK SWAN'S PRESENCE like an entity ready to snap and go apeshit on someone. P.S. Did anyone notice Mila's character Lily had a back tattoo that looked like Black swan's wings? aka Someone Behind You = 9/10 Korea's own version of Devil's Advocate meets From Within only this time instead of suicide it's a series of murders committed by different family members in the film. Sometimes even their classmates and teachers turn on this particular woman who seems to be the PRIMARY TARGET... See it for yourself. I won't spoil it for you.. Even though I saw this many times though... Nice movie. |

True Grit - Very entertaining, well made, the best Coen brother dialogue in a long time. Hailee Steinfeld was surprisingly awesome, especially seeing as her character risked being annoying, good time. 8/10
Animal Kingdom - Awesome Australian family crime movie. Felt original and somehow avoided all crime movie cliches. Very stylish and an awesome ensemble cast, ending felt a little clunky though. 8/10 |

Zombieland: 9.5 out of 10. I really liked this movie a lot. I don't know how I went so long without seeing it. I saw it on-demand on Starz and yeah I loved the crap out of it.

I saw Black Swan and TRUE GRIT last night. I would give Black Swan an A. Pretty disturbing and kinda predictable. But very well done. I feel like I need to watch it again to pick up on a bunch of parallels. But I don't really want to watch it again I guess. True Grit was incredible. A++++++++++++++

The Town - 8/10. I thought this was damn good. My only complaint would be that I was a bit let down by the climax/ending. It wasn't as satisfying as I had hoped based on the first two acts. The story didn't really take a bad turn, but I think they left soem greatness on the table from the heist angle.
The Other Guys - 7/10. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. It didn't look good to me, but I gave it a chance w/ my brother. Maybe I was just in a jolly Christmas mood. Mark Whalberg was painfully unfunny, especially when he "tried", but Will Ferrell and the supporting cast pulled the weight. I haven't enjoyed Ferrell in a long time (maybe since Anchorman), but I dug him here. Michael Keaton was a high point. If someone had told me he was in this, I probably would have seen it sooner. |

Winnebago Man 7/10 A movie that starts as a journey to find the man in the video below. Once found, you get to learn a little more about him. The movie starts and ends strong. Sadly the middle wasn't as exciting. I believe BBC did an hour long version of this movie for one of their series, that may be a better version as it seems like a better length. If your into documentaries and viral videos, pretty interesting none the less.

Never read the best selling novel but damn.. This was a good movie... Not bad for a low budgie Aussie flick.. And some of the complaints are saying that the author of the book AND this movie totally stole Red Dawn storyline. Yes, I've seen Red Dawn it's also similar in plot: Group of teens vs Russian marines.. But in this one, It's more like Chinese invasion... At first, it looked like your typical road trip teen movie but then world war 3 started and all of their parents went missing and being taken to concentration camps. Best part: One of the teens is a total BIBLE THUMPER. At first in the start of the film she says killing enemy soldiers is not what the Bible says but then later in the part, she just fucking kicks ass... Also, the part where she refused to shoot soldiers when they're escaping in the fuel truck and instead PRAYING... FUCKING LOLZ scene.. 9/10. Conclusion: Felt like watching a mixture of Red Dawn, Heroes (minus their superpowers) and Expendables teen edition.. And the ending just screams for 2 more sequels cos I read on IMDB it's still in production. |

Ratatouille 8/10 Solid film, wasn't blown away though. One of my least favorite Pixar films, but that's not at all a bad thing as there isn't a Pixar film I don't like.
Sherlock Holmes 5/10 Just seemed to drag. Lost interest about halfway through, dunno just couldn't get into it. For those who liked this though, I highly recommend the BBC Sherlock series that takes place in modern times. Big fan of that. |

True Grit - 4 out of 5 (8/10).
A bit slow in the beginning and the ending could have been better but a good western/cowboy style film. |

3/10 - practically pointless and not entertaining. Some cool cameos and droplets of poetic beauty but overall it was a waste of time. |
