In fairness to Eric, he does admit that the creative side wasn't his strong suit and it CAN be interesting hearing him discuss the logistic side of things. But god, what a fucking blowhard.

He gave Vince a taste of his own medicine by raiding all his top stars but also meant WCW now was the one dealing with all the baggage associated. It let him win the short term but as a side effect, Vince got a clean slate to work with for the future. |

According to PWI, WWE has been aggressive in their targeting of Major League Wrestling trying to poach as many notable talent and backstage staff as possible.
Wale's appearance at 205 Live last night was part of those plans and likely means the end of MLW's Walemania events during Mania week. Quote:

Fuck they are ruthless. I get it though. Honestly think they don't have faith in their product so they're snuffing out any competition before anyone can even be 5 years away from nipping at their heels.

Wale doesn't mean anything to me so go ahead and take him if he wants to go. I don't understand why WWE isn't running spot shows with under card talent that they don't use on TV to keep them fresh. Also NXT has to much talent under wrap that I can't understand why they don't have he NXT main roster doing nationwide touring all the time and keep the trainee's circuit in Florida. I would even consider offering old school style contracts with a small guarantee but with the percentage of the house being the main source of income for the workers. Get that old school style of competition before you get the fat guarantee on Raw or Smackdown.

House shows are already the main source of income for the majority of WWE's main roster. Only exception is the Cruiser division since WWE doesn't really use them for house shows. |

Austin was a man possessed at this point, but he wasn't the hottest thing on the planet. If Hogan comes in, there is a very good chance that he is booked to win the Royal Rumble and go against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV. What does this do to Austin? If Austin is fucking around with HHH on the undercard or whatever, what does that to do to his mentality and his drive? Does he get pissed off at Vince? Does he want to leave the WWF? What sort of chain reaction does Hogan coming in make in WWF? There's a possibility that it makes Austin hotter. There's a possibility that Hogan getting the push revolts people who were getting behind Austin, and that Austin's sheer quality of performances switch people over from Hogan, and that by the time you get to SummerSlam '98, Hogan vs. Austin is what the world wants to see. It's possible that it somehow makes everything better. It's probably more likely that it fucks everything up for Vince. When Vince wants a guy in position, he can get very stubborn about it. He's always wanted Hulk Hogan back and in the spot. It's possible that he doesn't go anywhere near where he should with Austin, and that everything melts down. Austin might never get as hot as he did, and he might have lost the fire to be the best and actually settled as his own "what if" in wrestling's history. What if Austin gets pissed off at Michaels and Hogan taking up the spotlight? What if he goes back to WCW. What if Bischoff sees the money in Austin coming in and beating the living piss out of him every week? What if Austin brings in Jim Ross, and JR focuses all his efforts onto bringing in the next class of wrestling star to WCW, and a lot of those OVW signings -- John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, Shelton Benjamin, Brock Lesnar -- they end up in WCW? What if Kurt Angle comes into WCW instead of the WWF? Could be one of the weirder turnarounds in wrestling history. It depends on a lot, but really, Hogan going back to the WWF in early 1998 might have changed so much about history. |

Why doesn't Superman kick Lex Luthor's ass in every single confrontation? How can that puny bald human ever believably get the edge over a literal space god?

You're trying to use good storytelling to justify bad storytelling. Lex Luthor doesn't walk up to Superman and kick him in the head and put him in a chinlock for 10 minutes in a fair fight. Andre the Giant wasn't Lex Luthor. Bobby Heenan was Lex Luthor. There's a reason Hulk Hogan and Bobby Heenan didn't go Broadway at WrestleMania IV.

It is at this point that Noid realizes just how much money WWE pull in for their shows and then goes into the fetal position.

That's pretty good pricing for WWE for a PPV.
Noid, you probably don't want to know how much they charge for Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and WrestleMania. |

According to the Observer, Ring of Honor could be getting a new parent company soon since their current parent company, Sinclair, is in the very early stage of being bought out.

I am not concenerned about Kevin Owens but I really really want to know what they've got in store for him next. I love KO/Elias vs Cena/Bob at Super Showdown but does this mean Cena is going to only appear on the show or will they hype with an angle on Raw? I would love to see another KO/Cena feud. I just need high profile KO stuff so do you.
Speaking of Super Showdown. I assume tickets are on sale for this right? I've not seen any reports. Triple H said "80,000" people which is totally not going to happen. UFC drew a little over 50,000 I believe at that stadium the night Ronda lost it all. |

Member when Kevin Owens debuted on the main roster as a prize fighter while still holding the NXT Championship and going on to defeat John Cena during his hot United States title run?
