Oh. So SD only has a good rating when it is on FOX? Makes sense I guess. Wouldn't think the drop off would be 1 million.

Pretty sure AEW is on some channel I don't even own and they are mocked.

I can’t remember if that is good or not on FS1. I was under the impression they sometimes did 750k on FS1. But I may be misremembering.

That 3rd hr for Raw, outside of prime time on a Monday night, still spanking that Dynamite number.

Thats the worst number on FS1 in at least the last 2-3 years. The usually anywhere from just under 900k to a little over a million.

Mind you FS1 was moved from basic cable packages to a higher tier for some service providers earlier this year. Less eyes on that channel in general now.

Damn @ Dynamite beating Smackdown. The CULTISTS in SHAMBLES and TATTERS, BOILING over this turn of events (suffering from the dreaded boiling tatters).

How much does this prove that casual fans do exist? Seems crazy to me that you wouldn’t just follow it across to the other channel. |

As a kid, I would have found it, but I can understand why many people wouldn’t. There’s a huge difference between network and premium cable. It’s a change in routine, plus a lot of people (reasonably) probably don’t see the FS1 shows as big shows.

It’s a bit like PPV. So many viewers didn’t watch them and would just tune in afterwards and would find out what happened.
It’s why AEW’s PPV conversion rate is a double-edged sword. On one hand, on the surface converting about 10% of your week-to-week audience is a very impressive portion. But the downside is that you’re probably not hitting that casual viewer that is going to boost you up in other metrics. |

Well I mean unless you have premium tier cable you couldn't follow it across because you won't have FS1. Main Fox doesn't even require cable as it's a broadcast network like ABC/NBC/CBS.

Lol, no surprise there.
AEW fans were like “The show’s doing fine without Punk.” A lot of people haven’t cottoned on that he’s gone. It’s back to the regular old AEW and its usual swings and misses. Do they have a special show coming up to inflate the number? |

Oh wait, I forgot they have Jeff Jarrett, Colt Cabana and Katsuyori Shibata now. That will fix it.

There are so many things wrong with the Colt Cabana story:
-Why force Tony to let his contract expire? Why not have him fired? -How does it explain Colt Cabana not being used before Punk got there? -Punk was so determined for Cabana to go that he forced him out…but didn’t care when he was saved? The effect of what he allegedly wanted didn’t happen. -Why not other people in the company he didn’t like? Apparently he’s such a malcontent, why not get rid of Jay Lethal, for example? -It’s a big gamble to go public and say you had nothing to do with it right next to the boss who would know you did but also said you didn’t. -Does Tony Khan have absolutely no agency? Joking aside, it’s his call who is and isn’t in the company. This is like AJ Styles actually believing Paul Heyman got Gallows & Anderson cut. If CM Punk MADE Tony get rid of Colt, which didn’t actually happen, then what sort of indictment is that on AEW? I’d rather the story never got out at all. It’s way more likely AEW is just petty and used him as a dig. If Randy Orton left WWE and they brought back Mr. Kennedy, what are you going to think: Orton conspired to keep the guy out of work and forced them not to use him while he was there, or that the company is just being petty and using someone when they’re mad at him? Come on. |

I haven’t heard nearly as much hammering on about the demo as AEW’s fans age out of it. Granted, I block out a lot of what Dave says these days.

Nothing official about his departure. Rumors suggest he is negotiating a buyout. Nick Hausman didn’t ask him (or his “camp”) specifically about this, but got the impression that he won’t be going back and has barely talked to AEW.
Quote:
Talent like Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy have been very vocal about not wanting Punk back and shovel the blame onto him too. The Punk’s side has been quieter/doesn’t have any power in the company. I don’t believe the Elite side worth a shit. I mean, you can just read how illogical Dave’s conclusions are. Colt Cabana has been with the company and barely used since the beginning, and an investigation wasn’t necessarily ethical (Dave himself has said Lucy Guy, a witness to the incident, was not even questioned). The results of the investigation haven’t been made public either. They could have found Punk’s response proportionate and The Elite at fault, but Punk wants out and The Elite don’t. Short story: The Elite are bullying/manipulating fuckheads that made Punk’s job hard, he cracked, lashed out — Punk’s probably the lesser evil but AEW is going to go with The Elite. |

Interesting. Losing CM Punk, as much as I don't like him personally, won't be good for AEW.
