New York Skyscrapers like Spiderman.
Isn't it really Assassin's Creed like 4 or 5? |

But yeah, they're not really counting the side-stories and shit. only the major titles count these days, because trilogies are where it's at or something. |

Please be real. Red Dead Creedemption there sounds almost too good to be true.
Because these days, that is how developers test the waters for sequels. They rerelease an older game and if it sells well, sequel time. |

Kotaku have an article that says Game Informer put up an image for AC3 too early so it's more or less confirmed now.
I've never played an AC game, myself. Am I right in thinking it's about a family line that works its way through a secret history? So, a bit like Blackadder without the comedy and with more assassinations? |

Interesting cover. Very different than the others in my opinion.
Huge AC mark. Have played all the games, including the crappy DS ones. |

People already complaining about it being based in America. And the outfit. And Desmond being Arab/Italian/Native American.

The outfit is shit for the timeline, he should just use it for official duties.
Not as bad as the Ubisoft logo on the box though. That, as always, is the dealbreaker until it's cheap enough to deal with their god-awful DRM. |

I bet no one would complain if it was a ninja running around 1770's America.

I kinda like that they explore characters of different backgrounds to be honest. It is nice to see an Arab and an Italian who don't fall into modern stereotypes. Too much to find out still..we will see. |

Pretty good article about the American setting. Highlights some of the complaints such as lack of large cities. |

The setting will work out fine considering one of the key aspects about the Revolutionary war was all the ambushes done by both the Indians and Americans. Its a good fit and probably means a lot more wilderness and areas to travel than in previous games.
Probably going to deal with the Free Masons or other secret societies which occurred in America at the time. |

Is it wrong that I'm really excited to play an AC game, and even going as far as calling it a day 1 for me?

I hope they add more shit into it. Revelations was a let down for me, all that was new was the hookblade imo. I don't count the tower defense shit, shit fucking sucked.

At least in the previous time periods, there were SOME people dressed similarly. Oh, they'd bitch, just not for historical accuracy. They'd complain it violates the character. |

Look, New York City had plenty of big structures, but who needs big structures when you have trees to hide in...heh. Truth be told, I'm not exactly a big fan of trying to play it both ways at once. Thing is, a good chunk of New York wasn't built that high at that point. That's the sort of thing that takes a lot of time and either a lot of need or a lot of excess, neither of which New York City would be known for for a few decades. And part of the reason these games are fun is parkour. hiding in trees isn't quite the same. Look ma, my history is shit! Or maybe it's just a slight bigoted notion that Injuns used tomahawks and whites used swords. Colourful characters. Okay, I kinda like this one, actually, but they have to walk almost as fine a rope with George Washington as they do with Muslims being portrayed. Amurrrrrricans, one of the big game-buying audiences take their founding fathers seriously (albeit unrealistically). Ubisoft's only saving grace here is that they're in France, which most Americans can't find on a map. Or spell. |

We still don't know if there will be nature ambushes..we are just assuming at this point. As you stated, there was American cities at the time such as New York and Boston that had plenty of buildings.

Are you next going to tell me "That's just your opinion!" when it was clearly so? Also, I didn't really point that out. What I pointed out was that there were limited high places in said cities. |

A potential HD remake of the original game or even a new game in the Baldur’s Gate series could be in development.
Beamdog studio who worked on last year's MDK 2 HD remake teased they are currently working on something involving the Baldur’s Gate franchise. The official website for the series also teased an announcement could be arriving soon based on a hidden poem found deep within the website's source code. Quote:

Was that just a minigame or was it actually mandatory? I haven't played Revelations yet, I honestly didn't really care for a lot of the stuff they had added to Brotherhood as far as minigames and escort missions so I stopped paying attention to Revelations after I beat that Brotherhood.

Besides the mandatory time at the beginning, I didn't have to do it any after that. I think they said it could happen if your wanted meter is full, but I immediately cooled it down so I wouldn't have to go through that stupid thing.

In a way I'd like to get into it in order to expand on the story, but I really disliked the last 2 games especially Brotherhood. The only part of the game I enjoyed was the final boss, rest of it just felt like a chore.

It's pretty neat. The dpad twists and the little dial or whatever descends into the controller which makes the dpad a little bit more accurate. I'll put it to the test next week with SFXT |
