For me, it was a lot of work to push through the first 4 chapters. I think it was the 5th chapter where the story picked up and it all started coming together. Really enjoyed the 2nd half, which I guess is why I am so pumped over those new AC pics.

That's how my Gears 3 controller is. Couldn't figure out what it did for a few weeks until I looked online.

Don't ask D Mac to do it, might end up in Wrestling Q&A.

Take the news with a grain of salt but the next issue of the Official Xbox Magazine has been rumored to be teasing the debut of a new Killer Instinct game.
The game is being teased as a reboot game with no other details nor status on if Rare is actually making the game or if a different developer is working on the game similar to what was done with the XBLA version of Perfect Dark. Quote:

Whether its KI1 and/or 2 coming to XBLA or a whole new KI, I'm interested.

Don't think it'll live up, better to reboot it. Then again, an XBLA release makes sense to gauge the consumer.

I don't see Killer Instinct being able to hang with modern fighters from a technical standpoint. At least not without changing much of what makes it Killer Instinct.
It could do well financially due to western popularity, in the same way Mortal Kombat was successful, but I don't see it being taken that seriously by fighting game fans. |

Considering KI was more related in style and gameplay to Mortal Kombat, if MK could do a good reboot, then KI could easily.
The bigger question involves who would be developing a potential game considering the current Rare has no desire nor remote experience in making a fighting game. Microsoft's other choice is to hire a different studio to work on the game like what was done with Perfect Dark on XBLA. |

If they do release KI for Ecks Blah, I'll definitely try it. I think I still have muscle memory for all the combos. If there's a new KI, they had better release a demo, because I am NOT buying on faith.

I bet after that speculation, it's just Ninja Gaiden.
KI1/2 arcade versions do hold up. If you've got MAME, give it a play. |

Had a cool style, but it has a lot of catching up to do.

I had it for N64 back in the day, but it's a different time now, and it's not really the type of gameplay fighting game fans are looking for.
Despite all the improvements the recent mortal kombat made, it still had stiff, rigid dial-a-combos. KI has always been similar in that regard. It wouldn't be a bad idea to release a new one though. As I said, the casual audience would probably eat it up. |

KI has style, cool characters, and it found a place between SF and MK back in the day. But it has a lot more comp now, and now's not the time to expect Orchid's double Ds and dial-an-Ultra Combos to carve out a place. They have catching up to do. There are a few fighting games/systems that came out in KI's time that are still very playable today. |

New Forza game has leaked. Forza Horizon is due out in Fall/Autumn this year.
Thinking the new KI, if OXM is refering to KI, will be revealed on Monday. |

They have a short teaser but it's just video, not game footage. I read someone suggest it might be a spin off cross country/rally game. I think that sounds possible.
The footage shows desert etc and the name "horizon" does suggest long distance driving to me. |

A spinoff sounds right. 1 year after release is way too soon for a game of that "magnitude".

This is likely. I thought SFxT was on the SF4 engine, didn't think they started from scratch as far as the system goes. I guess the SF4 models and certain animations were the only crossovers.

Not necessarily. The sfxt engine could simply be a new version of the same engine. Like if I were going to make an AKI wrestling game, I'd modify No Mercy and work from there as opposed to fucking with the original and still having to create a ton of modules that would otherwise already exist and only require minor modification
