After tonight I don’t think NXT UK has long left - saying they spoiled the UK title championship winner before it even aired. Also they had to cancel 2 weeks worth of shows as the BT sports studio being used for football coverage instead.

I thought they hadn’t crowned Bate as winner yet! Seems like a bit of a UK invasion. Might spell the end, might be a call up (across?) for some, or maybe just something to do while they can’t record at BT? Maybe they’ve brought the whole brand over for a holiday?

I don’t really see the point in NXT UK. There’s some talented guys there. Just bring them over.

Apparently UK is done as of September 4th with a Worlds Collide event. Then NXT Europe is due in 2023.

Ashton Smith being let go whilst injured is harsh I think. Dave is a good guy, I hope he finds himself back on the local scene. Webster had talked about wanting to leave, Mark Andrews had been stuck with nothing since his tag team broke up.
Sha Samuels is a good comedy character, he would have made a good tag team with Noam Dar.

I know a few of those guys are in no position at the moment to move over to the USA for personal reasons so this may have played a hand in the decisions too.

Some suggested changes for NXT:

* The 24/7 division guys could help out the shows there. Akira Tozawa and Reggie would fit right in, as would Dana Brooke and Tamina, giving it an “NXT Redemption” kind of vibe.

* Paul Heyman should try and recruit Solo Sikoa for The Bloodline. Sikoa knocks the deal back so Heyman puts a bounty on Sikoa’s head. Good story for a top face that isn’t Bron Breakker.

* Timothy Thatcher & Hideki Suzuki against The Creed Brothers, pls.

* Tyler Breeze & Fandango to return and feud with Pretty Deadly for a snippet. Then Fandango “snaps” because this is his last chance to become the biggest mainstream star in professional wrestling history. The feud ends up involving Shawn Michaels due to Rockers split similarities.

* Julius Creed should win won sort of breakout tournament at some point. Brutus Creed & Damon Kemp can become the team.

* Do the Cruiserweight Classic but as a tournament within the confines of NXT. Include main roster guys that fit the weight limit — Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, etc.

* Have a bunch of Attitude era wrestlers who are still working crash NXT as a disgruntled veterans’ union. Scotty 2 Hotty, The Headbangers, Tajiri, 2 Cold Scorpio — I’m sure there are more names out there.

* Axelmania needs to run wild.

* If you re-hire Bray Wyatt, NXT is the place for him, and the group should be him, Bo Dallas and Erick Rowan. Have the story be he’s purposely trying to affect the future of wrestling.

* A lot of the SmackDown women can be moved back to NXT too. Shotzi & Aliyah immediately come to mind.

Yeah they didn't do any "Future Endeavors" notice for NXT UK. The talent confirmed to be gone all broke the news themselves on Twitter and the rumored ones haven't tweeted anything but got moved to the Alumni section, so the writing was on the wall there.

Bate is obviously US-bound. As is Jinny presumably as she's with Gunther. Dragunov has been speculated to be on the way over too for a while.

Meiko might come to the PC to be a trainer as that was her main role in the UK even though she's the champion there too.

I imagine Gallus, Isla, Davenport, Dempsey etc will just hang back and wait for NXT Europe to start.

Oh I've not watched the show in a long time nor even really kept on top of what is going on. Well good for them. I remember enjoying Gallus the last time I saw them, but it was ages ago.

I haven’t seen Seven around a while. Bate was around a lot more, they both train at the gym next to my work. Some of the others I knew were getting back up plans in place months ago.

Also from what I can see Seven still hasn’t come out and publicly acknowledged it and WWE haven’t said anything either. I know he is down on alumni but would love to see him turn back up.
