Yep. I might actually enjoy the story and characters more than the movies. Too close to say.

Finishing Ancient God's part 1 is the only time I can recall being drenched in sweat after finishing a video game. I don't even know how that happens, but there ya go.

2K and Gearbox with a surprise release, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure , a standalone game version of Borderlands 2's penultimate full DLC, with new additions, for $9.99. Of course I grabbed it.
Still getting used to the new control scheme. R1 (instead of R2) shoots, R2 (was R1) throws a grenade, and L2 (The Artist Formerly Known As L1) activates the player character's action skill. I have no idea of the level cap. It doesn't let you import BL2 character data, so all characters start from scratch at level 1. But, you get 2 skill points per level, and that starts at level 2, whereas it was level 5 for BL2 and you only got 1 skill point per level up. |

Giving Back 4 Blood a try for the sake of my friend. Really don't know why they didn't just go for Left 4 Dead 3. It's still pretty neat, though. Definitely improves on some of the formula.

Wooo Forza 5.
lol @ RNGesus looking out for me though. Got the fastest car in the game on a free wheelspin within 2 days of starting. 10/10 speed (and handling too) the way it comes. Speed challenges on paved roads quiver in fear at the sight of it. |

smt wont scratch your persona itch then. if bleak makes you want to pass on nocturne then pass here too. smt is all about top tier mechanics polished to the max in a punishing combat system with a bleak backdrop.

Put Diablo 2 on hold and in full into Lost Judgement.
However, 10 minutes in I needed to find the nearest Mahjong parlor and get my fix. So addicting. |

Battlefield 2042.
It has some bugs, yep. But, it is actually really fun and the most chaotic FPS I've ever played. SMG's need balanced badly, as they outperform EVERYTHING right now. There was a good reddit post Fignuts and I had a laugh at where someone hyped up the game and did a long breakdown of each weapon class, only to end each class with saying the PP-28 is the best gun in every class (cause it is ) Played a few bot matches. Can pubstomp beginner, but intermediate is a huge difference. Went from winning regularly to getting pubstomped by AI, with the AI usually having 200-400 resources left. Fun stuff. |

I've been off and on with the beta for Halo Infinite. Haven't lost a game yet but it's good that there's enough familiarity with the gameplay to where I'm not completely lost. I've never been of fan of locked features but I supposed I should be used to it by now. I miss being able to completely remove your icon from your display and armor because none of the ones available have ever been appealing to me. Looking forward to the campaign, though.

Finally beat FF7 Remake
Ending was interesting. Was a nice set up for the second game, god knows when that will come out. I found the final battles of Kingdom Hearts 3 to be more difficult then FF7 Remake |

Finally started Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4. Enjoyable enough but it runs into the same problems I typically have with open world games. Going to see how long it takes to get through the main story.

BF 2042. The AI isn't terrible. Okay, they're terrible on Beginner, but will fuck your shit up on Intermediate.
Has helped me get a good feel for the guns and attachments, and just overall feel of the game. |

Picked up Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries bundle from the PSN Black Friday sale.
Digging it so far. But I got a looooooooooong way to go before I get to piloting some death machines. Also need to study up on customization too, looks like it goes pretty deep this time around. |

I'm about 4 missions deep in Halo Infinite. Not sure how to feel about the navigation around the ring world since I prefer things to be linear, ESPECIALLY with a Halo game. I kind of feel like I entered in the second reel as far as the story goes. Like did I miss something in one of the novels or whatever because this barely addresses the events of Halo 5. I wager I'll be done with the campaign in about a week.

Fuck that. Halo 5 is awesome
I don't read comics or get into the semantic of "what's canon" and what isn't. SOmetimes I feel like I'm playing Destiny + Doom (minus the epic gore and music) So good. |

Halo 5 was fine. I was just hoping this would continue that thread and wrap things up. Maybe it will. It's fairly early. Exuberant Witness was probably my favorite thing about that game. I even made sure it was my multiplayer announcer voice.

Other than that I'm enjoying it. Really like open world format. Especially after upgrading cooldown of the grappling hook so that I can swing through the trees like spider man. |

I know Atriox was the big baddie for Halo Wars 2 but even in that game, there's really nothing linking it to the events of Halo 5. I'm guessing there's going to be a big exposition dump somewhere in the second act or whatever to help fill in the blanks. One thing I do appreciate about the gunplay, though, is the ability to vent plasma weapons manually and recharge them with certain crates. It just feels better than just discarding a depleted plasma rifle on the ground; and it's environmentally friendly!

100p going to unfold more in the 2nd half.
Already feels like Master Chief knows a ton more than he is telling "us" the player - if that makes sense. |

Still enjoying halo infinite so far. That said one thing bothers me, and it's something that has always bothered me about halo.
The grunts. I just fucking can't, with these grunts. The whole series plays it completely straight, and takes itself very seriously. And then you've got daffy fucking duck running around over here. I can suspend my disbelief and accept that aliens from across the galaxy speak English just like humans do. What I can't accept is these idiots behaving like hired goons in an Abbot and Costello movie. It's fucking stupid and I don't like it. |
