It'd be really interesting to see what the buy rates would be at the moment if they'd never started the network. December to Dismember would be looking like a megashow.

I just got done with Impact from Tuesday
The only interesting thing from the whole 2 hours was Sami winning the Title and Tessa coming out and staring at his face which I guess he had thick spit on his face which was very unfortunate looking |

I tried watching it recently but that idiot was doing a promo from his car and his idea of intensity sounded a lot like a fat constipated guy trying to dig shit out of his ass with a spoon

WWE released their fiscal report earlier today and their stocks took a big hit as a result. Getting very close to hitting half of its value from the high it had last year.
Also the Network numbers going down also hurts NXT based on the assumption they have a big chunk of viewers who only watch the weekly show when its uploaded to the Network. Since NXT have yet to grow in any week, can't count on those lost subs shifting over as potential live viewers.

According to PWI, WWE is currently considering the idea of holding a War Games match at next month's Survivor Series event.

WWE letting its developmental system and its main shows become close enough to where a “war of the worlds” between the two on one of their biggest yearly events isn’t COMPLETELY batshit crazy is very telling.
This company doesn’t know what the fuck they’re doing even at the most basic level. It’s quantity over quality at every stop. |

Pro Wrestling Illustrated released their Top 100 Women rankings for the year with Becky taking the #1 spot.
Like with their yearly lists, the system they use for rankings slants very heavy towards WWE and their titles which is why someone like Natty managed to be #7 and Lacey Evans took #23. |

According to the Observer Newsletter, the $3.5 million loss in house show revenues for the last fiscal quarter was the first time WWE ever lost that much money for house shows in company history.

Seems ROH lied about Joey Mercury's recent departure from the company being "mutual" since he's been airing a lot of dirt on the company's management.
Biggest allegations are the unsafe workplace environment in regards to the lack of medical staff and security for shows, as well as providing improper care for talent after they suffered injuries. Quote:

Random buzzed thought....Aleister Black is the one to beat the fiend. His backstory would blend the best, and it's a new star in the making. (Though we already know...) I dunno just popd in my head.

Hang on, how does Network subscribers being down mean that NXT must be doing significantly worse? Like, was the assertion ever that people were buying the WWE Network exclusively for NXT? Isn’t it possible that a number of people watch the show on the Network, some on USA but numbers have still dropped because of PPV and the shift to USA? I don’t think anyone expected subscribers to go up.

I think it's more to do with them not establishing NXT UK enough to be a replacement on the network for NXT. Yeah if you just used the WWE Network for NXT you'd be dumb not to cancel it.

If NXT starts to increase in live viewers then that could be a sign those who are dropping their subs switched over but if it doesn't, then those are lost viewers for NXT and maybe even WWE in general. Likely won't really know until the next fiscal quarter report since by then enough weeks would have passed to figure out that viewership situation. The one WWE recently released doesn't cover October. Not sure if its going to remain the case but until NXT's move to cable tv, PPVs and NXT were the biggest drivers for subs for the Network. NXT was also among the biggest in terms of enticing people to keep their subs after the free month. |

No, WWE doesn't release viewership numbers and instead minutes per sub since that is tied into executive bonuses. |

If NXT's tv viewership goes up this quarter while Network subs go down as expected, then you could make a strong case of a switch happening. If NXT tv keeps going down or levels out, then you could make a case NXT might also be losing viewers on the Network since its consistently been one of the main reasons to have a sub. |

Except with the NXT vs Raw/Smackdown thing they are most likely trying to boost NXT viewership with a main roster cross over. That might push the numbers up a bit but once it's done they'll more than likely level out again.

Yeah these next 2-3 weeks are going to be the toughest direct competition for AEW since NXT has both the build for War Games and Survivor Series going on at the same time to drive interest.
If AEW still manages to stay on top during those weeks, it should act as a wake up call to WWE that their plans for NXT are not working and should have left the brand alone instead of getting too hands-on with changes and rushing things for tv. |

The whole mindset behind wrestling is different. He’d be entirely different, doing flips and shit, or he’d never have gotten into it. Guys like Sid should be who they things with the 24/7 Title with. Let him Powerbomb a jobber and then hold the belt for a few weeks. Wrestling could use some Sid. |
