Awwww quick, what the fuck was that game at the arcades where you were a sniper for SWAT or something and you had to do some shooting through the scope? And when you scope a hot chick your health goes up.
That's what the sniper mission for hitman reminds me of. Also, 5-10 hour campaign for the new God of War game? Sounds shorter than Force Unleashed 2. |

Losing, SM, not loosing.
EA's had stock problems already. They're nto THQ, but...This definitely isn't helping them. |

Keep seeing articles about a new WWII shooter and people saying its fresh because it's been a while.
The whole FPS genre feels stale regardless of setting. They all have pretty similar mechanics with their regenerating health and only a couple of weapons. You could set an FPS in my large intestine and it would likely feel stale. |

FPS is only stale because they keep making the same game. I don't play modern FPS games like CoD or BF and I honestly can't tell the difference when I look at screens or videos.
FPS games need much more variation. TS4 would have been perfect to revitalise the genre but that's "too risky". Where as churning out identicle games yearly is never ever going to backfire. Nope, no one will ever get sick of the same 5 run-of-the-mill guns in the same bland setting every year. |

Minecraft 360 is out today. I'll DL the demo but I'm not sure if it'll be woth buying. I already have Fortresscraft, which looks like the same thing. Unless Minecraft has stuff I don't know about. Demos aren't always great and showing everything. |

Preorder The Amazing Spiderman at Amazon and get Stan Lee as a playable character.
I looked at Amazon and get see anything yet. I preordered anyway so I should still get Stan Lee. Preorder at Gamestop and you get a Rhino challenge pack. You don't play as Rhino, you just do chalenges around him. |

Makes me wonder if anyone at the publication had EA stock and sold it abruptly after that article ran. You know, since it was utter garbage and not true at all. |

Actually, no. EA has been in a pretty steady decline. That peak had already "leveled" and then some. |

I think I read it's part of "web rush" which you can trigger to slow everything down, highlight items of interest etc. I thought it was just when you were on the ground so maybe you can swing around in FP as well.

Rumor today involving Microsoft finally bringing a web browser for the Xbox 360 hint at it being controlled by Kinect and would be based off of Internet Explorer 9.
The official debut for the web browser is rumored to occur during Microsoft's E3 press conference with some details involving the browser being a modified version of Internet Explorer 9 with priority towards the Kinect. The browser will allow keyboard input but has been designed to take advantage of Kinect features such as voice recognition for Bing searches. The focus for the browser appears to be related more towards the news of the $99 Xbox 360 model more than a newly added feature for Xbox Live. Not counting the Bing search bar from the recent dashboard update, Microsoft never was willing to actually implement a web browser besides the occasional hints of it being possible unlike Nintendo and Sony. Prototype 2 is just prototype with a few new powers and side quests. Still ridiculously fun though.
Might pick up Witcher 2 tomorrow. |

I don't care about the new Hitman. I loved all the previous ones but the new one is too far removed in many ways.
47 has a new voice actor. 47 now has the super powers to tell where people will walk and stand still and he can see through walls. He also had Dead Eye now, even though IO swear it's not Dead Eye at all and an original feature. He slows down time and marks targets on enemies before returning time to normal and shooting them in quick succession. It's Dead Eye. The story elements they have revealed suck. I wont be picking it up. |

Yeah im with you on that. The strongest point (for me at least) in the Hitman series WAS the fact that you were bare bones in terms of 'gaming' powers...like, you did everything on your own, however you wanted...and you failed, often.

Yeah. I enjoyed the games for the same reason.
Now, rather than waiting around a corner for that securty guard to pass, players just hit a button, see he's 5 minutes away and run into the unguarded room knowing they have plenty of time to do the job and leave. Having Dead Eye means there is no risk either. You just activate it, aim and fire. No way to possibley screw up and have to retreat and form a "Plan B". |

hmmm I don't know. You could say the same thing about Splinter Cell: Conviction.
It wasn't the same type of game as it's predecessors, but it was still an absolute blast to play. I will give this new Hitman a shot for that very reason. |

Real time Animal Crossing music.
The page takes the time from your PC clock and plays the music that plays in AC at that time. It loops the whole time and automatically changes when the next hour hits. |

I'm just saying, just because it's not the typical hitman formula(which I agree, would be better) doesn't mean it won't be a really fun game.

Supposed new footage of the beta version for Beyond Good and Evil 2 was leaked today with the source stating the footage comes from the 2009 build of the game before Ubisoft temporary cancelled the project.
The footage primarily shows off the game's engine which has been sporadically been tweaked and worked on since 2009. The game was also originally meant for a release for this current generation before the decision by Ubisoft to move all development towards the next generation of systems. The engine is currently undergoing an overhaul in order to create a more "life-like" system and movement with the primary influence coming from Mirror's Edge. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...ine-in-action/ More previously leaked screens and footage ---> http://www.unseen64.net/2012/05/11/b...eta-prototype/ ____________________________________________________________ Daily Recap: 1) Gamestop is currently rumored to start selling pre-paid Steam voucher cards starting on May 15 with a leaked image showing off what the card looks like. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...ting-next-week 2) Nintendo might be completely phasing out the DSi line soon as one last major price cut was announced to arrive on May 20 with the DSi to drop to $100 and the DSi XL to drop to $130. Walmart has already enacted the price cuts while other retailers are expected to wait another week. http://www.gamespot.com/news/dsi-dsi...may-20-6376062 3) Bethesda announces the release date for Dishonored is set for an October 9th date for North America and October 12th for Europe. http://www.screwattack.com/news/dish...ctober-release 4) EA has started to shut down servers for Battlefield 3 with all the official free servers gradually starting to shut down ever since the rental option for servers took effect. EA is requiring owners of paid servers to pay the $30 per month fee while some users have reported several server owners have started to jack up ticket prices to play on a single map or round. http://www.screwattack.com/news/ea-p...r-paid-servers |

Blizzard and Valve Sort Out Their Legal Dispute Over DOTA Trademark
The two publishers come to a mutually beneficial agreement that allows all of the DOTAs to come out as scheduled. By Alex Navarro | May 11, 2012 Marking the end of one of the shortest legal battles (more of a skirmish, really) in video game industry history, Blizzard and Valve today came to a mutual agreement over the trademark rights for DOTA. DOTA is, of course, the popular Warcraft III mod that somehow became a commercial sequel in development at Valve, even though Blizzard had decided to make its own official update of the mod for Starcraft II and...you know what? Never mind. It's way too long and convoluted to try and explain in a news blurb. The point is, the fight over the trademark is now over with. Valve and Blizzard sent out a joint press release today letting everyone know that everything was hunky dory between the two publishers. As per the settlement, Valve gets to keep the DOTA name for whatever commercial uses it might like--such as the eventual release of DOTA 2--and Blizzard fans are A-OK to use the name for any noncommercial projects without fear of legal reprisal. As for the upcoming official DOTA update from Blizzard, that has been renamed Blizzard All-Stars. Because apparently that was the best name they could come up with on short notice. Blizzard had previously claimed that the DOTA trademark had too much history with Blizzard to be trademarked by another company. They stated in their original complaint that the name DOTA had "become firmly associated in the mind of consumers with Blizzard." Ultimately, it seems the two parties were able to find common ground they could both work within, and now everybody's happy. While it would have been great for the two companies to figure this stuff out without involving the legal system, that just isn't really how business is done nowadays. At least this one ended quickly, and on a friendly enough note. |

Ubisoft is actually working on one right now based off of the recent movie but won't come out until at least 1-2 years from now.
They decided at the very last minute to get the rights to make the game although stuff like that has happened a few times in the past such as Goldeneye for the N64 not coming out until 2 years after the film and I think EA's Lord of the Rings games for something more recent. |
