rant:
the reason i was cool with dropping cable was cuz for a long while the only show i was watching weekly was NXT with my oldest son. They have now ruined ALL of my weekly wrestling enjoyment. How has NXT on USA been? |

I’ll never understand why Jack Gallagher is still in the 205 Live / NXT limbo. He was easily one of the best attractions during the original CWC.

He would just be wasted on the main roster like most from 205 Live. WWE supposedly had plans for him to move to NXT UK but that didn't progress beyond a couple random appearances.
Even 205 Live is mostly a waste at this point because of how badly it was gutted from the Draft and NXT getting the priority for interesting and quality cruiser matches. Losing Oney due to him being frustrated with the direction of his career in the company didn't help either. |

Seems there might be a reason why WWE decided to quietly launch a new free tier of their WWE Network, albeit in beta form.
Rumor going around the net is that the subscriber base for the Network in the US is currently close to being under 1 million and would be the lowest since early 2015. Assuming its true, that would mean moving NXT to cable tv did some real big damage to the Network. Also with the large DVR numbers the weekly shows have been generating, that's even more potential damage being done to the Network. https://cultaholic.com/news/wwe-netw...w-one-million/ |

According to the Observer, Teddy Hart was suddenly released from MLW earlier today with no other details given.
May or may not be related to the allegations surrounding the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend or his recent activity on Youtube. Quote:

Still not as depressing as a guy using his abused son to get to meet Cody Rhodes.

Seems there is another explanation for the rumors of the WWE Network US subscriber base getting close to being under 1 million.
It involves recent crackdowns by the company to Canadian subscribers using VPNs to get the US version of the Network instead of the limited one currently available in Canada. Depending on how heavy the crackdown is, the US base might drop even harder than currently predicted. Quote:

Seems like it's kind of a "them problem" for giving Canada a shit version of the network.
I get why they would want to snuff that out obviously, but still |

According to this week's Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon once tried to beat up Harley Race for turning down his idea to screw the NWA and their plans for Starrcade at the time.
Considering Race's rep as a tough guy wrestler at the time, Vince's idea to beat up Race ended up failing miserably. Quote:

*Harley steps out of the bathroom, zipping up his pants. Vince attempts a double that Harley stuffs.* Harley: Vince, this isn't the time to horse around. Vince: GOD DAMNIT, RACE! BETRAY THE NWA, YOU SONOFABITCH!!! Harley: Oh, you're serious. *Harley locks in a guillotine.* Harley: Vince, do you know how many people tried to put one over on me like this? Vince: (choking) No, how many? Harley: I'm asking you because I lost count around 1977. *Vince's life flashes before his eyes.* Harley: Now would be a good time to apologize, Vince. Vince: (weakly) I'm sorry, Harley. Harley: Call me Sir! Vince: I'm sorry, Sir! Harley: I think I've made my point. *Harley lets go, adjusts his shirt and leaves like nothing has happened. Vince is gasping for air.* Last edited by Vastardikai; 12-06-2019 at 09:16 PM. |

Lol Harley wrestled for Vince Sr for a couple shots in late 70's early 80s so it's not like Vince had no idea who he was messing with

And Andre the Giant was afraid of him. That alone should have been reason to Nope this plan out.

Andre the Giant wasn't very strong for a man his size, even when he was younger. Health issues and no desire to improve on his natural image.
In the last ten to fifteen years he was just a seven foot sack of busted knees and vertebrae. Weaker than a man a third his size. |

Unless he could spin cars on street lights like paper plates on a pole then he was basically a big invalid and a pussy ass bitch.

He's quite well put together here. I'm not posting this picture to show off him picking up the girl, just his physique. He could throw frigging dropkicks around this period (I'm pretty sure). And in his prime could work at a pace. |

He looks about as put together as El Gigante there. Embarrassing.
People made up legends about Andre's strength because he looked like he should have lots of it but he was dying of the tumour that caused his condition long before his body started to break down and he didn't do much if anything to improve himself. Hornswaggle scaled up would be about that strong. |

Hmm... not having a body builder's physique or powerlifter's physique isn't always indicative of a lack of strength. He has pretty decent tone and is quite lean. He was definitely, in his prime, about a million times more athletic and mobile than Gigante.

Andre almost drowned Murdoch and Mulligan at the same time after one of them sucker punched Andre during a night of partying according to Flair.
It's Ric Flair so take that story with a grain of salt. |
