Wonder if Chad Gable leaves WWE? If he sticks around, what are they going to do with his name? You can’t have Chad Gable around when Gable Steveson shows up. My bet is that he goes by Chad Alpha or something. I hope Vince doesn’t get a hold on his last name being Betts and goes with Alpha Betts as a ring name.

WWE completely no-sells AEW’s entire existence, but if they wanted to do something to smash them, a working agreement with ROH would be pretty sweet. Send guys you don’t have much going on with there and let that be an outlet for their more creative impulses.

ROH would be dumb to even consider that idea considering WWE's recent track record with partnerships and potential partnerships has been awful for the other side.
EVOLVE had that type pf talent exchange with NXT and they got burned badly with it in the long run. NJPW saw through that idea and realized a partnership with WWE was just going to open the door to WWE snagging their big name stars a lot more easier than before. |

You’ve also got Bobby Steveson under contract. Does he interact with Bobby Lashley? You would have Chad Gable, Gable Steveson, Bobby Steveson and Bobby Lashley. “You’re now Robert Gable, pal.” And Robert Roode’s new name is Preston Roode for some reason. |

I wonder what Cain Velasquez’s relationship with the WWE is like. They cut him because of Covid, but has there been any word if he has kept at it or not? And what is the contract status of Ronda Rousey?

Partial list: EVOLVE - Talent exchange of sorts that got worse for EVOLVE the longer their partnership with WWE lasted. WWE got to use any of EVOLVE's top stars whenever they wanted while the biggest name EVOLVE got to use on a regular basis was Kona Reeves. Got hit with the poison pill clause the moment WWE didn't bother to help them out early into the coronavirus pandemic and owner Gabriel Sapolsky pulling an ECW era Paul Heyman by bailing on the company the moment he got a job within WWE secured. Stardom - Would have shut down and been absorbed into NXT Japan had they signed a partnership deal. Pro Wrestling NOAH - Same fate as Stardom had they signed a partnership deal. PROGRESS Wrestling - Talent exchange that was just as one-sided as EVOLVE's was but with the add caveat of WWE treating them worse than their actual rival in the UK, RevPro Wrestling. Not even AEW got treated as bad by WWE as what they did with PROGRESS pre-pandemic. Rest of WWE's UK & European partners - All have poison pill terms in their partnership deals so WWE can buy out their companies in the end. If EVOLVE is any indication, WWE will just sit back when those companies are in very dire financial situations and just pick up some really cheap libraries and talent instead of maintaining a healthy relationship that would be beneficial to their partners. Impact Wrestling - Never actually wanted a partnership. Just wanted their library and would have shut down the company had a deal been signed. NJPW - Would have led to the end of all of their partnerships in the US and likely the end of their US expansion plans. Some rumblings that NJPW World might have been merged into WWE Network as part of the terms. Talent exchange that would have been very one sided and was speculated from those in Japan to just be WWE's way of getting easy access to top NJPW talent so they could sign them up later and get rid of the biggest rival for their NXT expansion into Japan. CMLL - Similar type deal as NJPW that would have seen the end of all of their partnerships and just an easy way for WWE to snag CMLL's top talent and get rid of one of the two big rivals for a potential NXT Mexico. |

Guess so these days if it goes against whatever views or preconceived notions one might have towards wrestling.
Same for something that gets dismissed as being truthful suddenly becomes the truth if it fits into whatever narrative someone has about it. Doesn't matter if nothing about the actual matter or issue changed. Ratings talk being the biggest example of it around here. |

Lol, outside of one of two of those, those examples NEVER HAPPENED. Nice try, Smeat.
Anti-WWE bias projects a destructive nature onto them. Yeah, Vince made some shady dealings he went back on back in the day when expanding. Yeah, when he used a bunch of Mexican talent in 1997 or whenever, he didn’t really do much with it. But the WWF has had lots of fruitful business relationships in the wrestling context. Especially in recent years, where they have brought in talent from all across the world for NXT on a couple of different occasions. You want the WWE to be this chaotic mess in even an organizational sense because it makes for a zany narrative. But it just isn’t the case that a machine like that CAN’T work with other people. It doesn’t mean they will. But it doesn’t mean they can’t. If Vince saw the value in it, then he absolutely could work with someone, especially if it hurt someone he didn’t want to work with. |

CMLL - https://cultaholic.com/posts/wwe-rep...ed-to-buy-cmll , https://www.itnwwe.com/wrestling/wwe...s-wwe-network/
Stardom - https://411mania.com/wrestling/more-...o-buy-stardom/ Pro Wrestling NOAH - https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/20...or-new-660807/ I'd go on but I'm currently very busying with a report for the Frontpage that's going to take way more time to finish. |

So providing links as potential evidence now no longer counts as being possible information or facts. Do you know how stupid your post sounds. Nevermind, don't bother responding since its just going to lead to more headaches on my end. I legit don't know why I keep bothering hanging around this place since you keep making it be a miserable experience with all the nonsense and shit attitude you've had in recent years. |

Noid coming off very trumpy. Everybody is wrong, things aren’t good anymore and facts and reports no longer matter if they don’t fit a narrative. Hmmmmm….

I’m glad I haven’t seen any of these “Nick Jackson/Shawn Michaels exchanges.”
Just seeing those two names next to each other... I can’t bite my tongue hard enough. |

Smeat said ROH would be dumb to work with WWE in response to a hypothetical I posted. His basis for this? His opinion because WWE bad. He then provided a list of “bad partnerships” that never actually happened. They just would have been bad if they had, because WWE bad. And everyone is saying he posts facts because it’s easier than, once again, admitting that Noid was right.

I mean, the articles he posted explained why the deals fell through.
If you only want to hear from someone you trust who actually took WWE up on their offer, Cornette’s got some great stories about how wonderful a working agreement with WWE is. |

Don’t believe me?
Quote:
STARDOM: This never happened. STARDOM still exists and never had a partnership with WWE. “They would have been absorbed into NXT Japan” is complete speculative fiction. NOAH: The same fiction. There were bullshit rumors about the WWE looking to purchase them, because WWE loves acquiring Yakuza fronts. This wasn’t even rumored to be a partnership. And it NEVER HAPPENED. How can you call something that didn’t happen a fact? Or information. If my uncle had bought out Subway they wouldn’t make sandwiches anymore. So not a sandwich shop. PROGRESS: Small-time British promotion that was basically acquired by WWE, right? UK’s scene madly inflated by newsletter peddlers trying to insist some sort of insurgence. The same people will say that Australia is hot. NO ONE gives a fuck about wrestling here. If PROGRESS had more to offer, it may have been more valuable. But “talent exchanges” that allow a company to stay afloat for longer than it should aren’t exactly a bad thing. Unless you’re expecting the main event of WrestleMania to be sent and a struggling promotion to stay alive based off that. UK & Europe: So you admit it? These places need WWE more than they can actually offer assistance to them in a lot of cases. These places are staying off execution in many cases. WWE buying them when they can’t stay in business is...business? What is your major issue with this? TNA: Didn’t happen. Also, TNA has been dead for years. The only thing slightly valuable about them would be lending WWE footage of some guys pre-WWE. Basically Joe and Styles. New Japan: Another thing that didn’t happen and another case of “would have.” WWE has access to top New Japan talent. They have the opportunity to sign them when their deals are up like anyone else. New Japan World being part of the WWE Network would have been awesome for them. Way more exposure on Peacock now too. CMLL: Didn’t happen. Also, isn’t this promotion basically dead? So when they’re on their last legs and work with WWE, it’s WWE’s fault. When they don’t work with WWE? WWE’s fault. Seriously, what is even your point? So, out of a list of facts and information designed to prove that WWE are horrible partners, only two of the promotions you actually named worked with WWE. EVOLVE and Progress. Of those two, it’s a matter of perspective as to whether or not this has been “bad” or not. These promotions may not have lasted anywhere near as long as they did without WWE. |

Guys, I’ve got evidence that vaccines don’t work. I know a scientist, right? They didn’t invent a vaccine. They got some water in a syringe. But because that didn’t work, vaccines don’t work. You’d have to be an idiot to get a vaccine.
This is literally the line of logic being played here. It’s not even just made-up evidence—it’s made up off the back of scenarios that never even happened. WWE didn’t purchase NOAH, or CMLL, or TNA. You can’t just say that they tried and count it. But hey, here on TPWW that’s just “news.” What a steaming pile of crap. And y’all know it. |

Smeat isn’t reporting the news. He’s taking whatever rumor is running, without citation, and throws it out there without any critical thinking. I used to be softer on this sort of stuff, because in a business of rumor and jealous perspectives, you’re going to end up reporting on what you heard from a shit-kicker somewhere. Someone with a gripe somewhere.
But the issue is when you take that word from the shit-kicker as gospel. Which Smeat does do. WWE was planning to go on a tour clubbing baby seals and spitting on sick puppies? Of course they were. This is fact now. Someone asks if they’re good with pets and it’s “No! Remember the seal clubbing!” It never happened. Smeat takes it further, because it’s not just bad faith in WWE. That would be understandable. He will post stories that can be dismissed by simply reading them then thinking about them. He does this ALL the time. No, he doesn’t write the stories. Some other dude looking to squeeze a buck out of the naive does. But you can at least be responsible in checking to see if you’re helping someone prey on others or not. At least Smeat does take their bullshit from behind paywalls and gets in the way of them making a buck. But that’s not why he does it. It’s just an unintentional side effect of stealing others’ “work.” Which in too many easy-to-detect cases is just someone throwing whatever shit they can out there. And, to be honest, it’s pretty gutless and irresponsible to post things you know are lies, but to then just stick your hands up and say “I’m just posting what I read.” And I know you actually do believe what you read, so it’s others doing that on your behalf really. But seriously dude — think about the difference between fact and opinion, and when you read that Tony Khan saved a bus full of orphans that Vince McMahon catapulted a flaming ball of rock at, just maybe think about whether or not it came from “AEW Newz” this week. |
