That would actually make sense though. The universe losing half its population would also make it weaker. Annihilus takes the opportunity to invade, and now Thanos enters an uneasy alliance with the avengers to clean up his mess just like in the end of infinity gauntlet

Just read a bunch on Shang-Chi the other day randomly.....

Was created because Marvel got the license to the Fu Manchu character, so they made Shang-Chi his son who fought against his dad's evil plans..... Marvel then eventually lost the Fu Manchu license and referred to him only as "Shang-Chi's dad" before making up a new name for him in recent years....
