All I know is that I saw/read something once where they hyped Samy Guevara having a "huge announcement" or something and had a segment where he proposed to his girlfriend..... and I will say I only saw like a picture in passing so I could be wrong but..... she was like the most "plain jane" braud ever and it was like "Damn, this guy calls himself a Spanish God and that's the best he can do? Is showcasing his plain jane girlfriend supposed to get him over?"

So if he has split with her and gotten with Tay instead, it is a definite upgrade for his "Spanish God" rep

I think Sam and Pam had been together since they were in high school essentially, which is really uncommon nowadays. The rare moments a celeb ends up dating/married to a regular “plain” person instead of another celeb it’s usually because they met before they were famous.

I wouldn’t. But I think it’s a similar comparison because wrestlers, like celebs, very often just end up together. Don’t know of many women’s wrestlers that aren’t fucking someone in the business.

I mean it makes sense, that’s who you end up meeting in your line of work and it’s a unique lifestyle an “average” person might not understand/be supportive of. I’d imagine trying to have a conventional relationship while being on the road all the time would suck balls.

Battle of the Belts is going to be awesome. Here are my predictions for the show:

SPOILER: show
* The show opens with Jurassic Express defeating The Lucha Bros for the Tag Titles. Christian celebrates with JE backstage and Kyle O’Reilly debuts with Adam Cole and Bobby Fish and takes the faces out and they all spit on a picture of Luke Perry to get heat.

* Britt Baker defeats Riho to keep the Women’s Title. Rebel is in really skimpy gear to show off her ass. The heels attack Riho after the match and Hikaru Shida and Thunder Rosa make the save. Long-term storytelling.

* Sammy Guevara defends the TNT in a Ladder Match against Cody Rhodes, PAC, Malakai Black, Andrade El Idolo, Miro, Scorpio Sky and Darby Allin. Come on, that would be hectic! Spots galore. Doesn’t matter who wins the match, because the fans win!

* Main event is Adam Page vs. MJF for the World Title. CM Punk is doing commentary for the match. Punk promises not to interfere. He keeps to his word, but Danielson does and helps Page win because he wants to beat him. This also sets up tension between Danielson, MJF and CM Punk!


Really hard to fit that in on one card, but I’ve got some more ideas:

SPOILER: show
* The Ladder Match gets jump-started, so not everybody gets their intro. Cody still makes his though.

* Britt Baker and Riho is kept really short, because the heels really do hijack her out of her shot.

* NO TALKING! Except for maybe a short MJF promo prior to his title match. And the Elite Dragons taking out Jurassic Express.



Would be way better if it was 2 hours but.

The AOP were a great concept, but they just didn’t click as big men for me. I’d have been interested to see what they could have done over time. Had they been developed, it’s possible they could have had singles careers too.

Nyla Rose may have found herself in a bit of hot water. A disabled fan made a transphobic tweet about her (which is horrible). She responded by saying that them spreading hateful shit is why god put them in a wheelchair. While it must be frustrating dealing with transphobic shit, you are in the limelight, and this was not the way to deal with it.
