The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 8/10
I liked it a lot more than the first film. Benedict Cumberbatch was pretty bad ass as the voice of Smaug, and Evangeline Lilly was pretty darn scrumptious as ever. I also like that Legolas is not the same person as he is in the LOTR films. |

8/10. Could've been Tarantino's remake of Faster Pussycat and his ultimate wet dream for a grindhouse flick with BFF Robert Rodriguez. Twas good. Sleeping Beauty 2011 - Don't expect Maleficient witch or prince charming in this one cos this one's more like a Kubrick-ish mind fuckery. 7/10, Machete Kills 9/10 - It's slighty better than the 1st one.. Sofia's machine gun bra and the panty that shoots bullets when she does the humping dance move was just pure LOL gold. Lady Gaga was the saving grace of my movie despite SPOILER: show |

I mean personality-wise. He's younger (obviously), more aggressive, a bit angrier; when compared to the Legolas of LOTR.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - 9/10
Cumberbatch gave me a mark boner. Orlando Bloom was bad ass. |

Watched the Desolation of Smaug at the weekend. A good 8/10 from me.
The scenes with the dialogue between Bilbo and Smaug were amazing. Evangeline Lilly - OMG - I am in love all over again. |

Hunger Games: Catching Fire 10/10
Yeah, I loved it. I loved the hell out of it. I want more. I became a fan of the series just a few weeks ago, I'm doing the movie first, book later type approach. I hope to have a few on board to discuss the world that they portrayed. It has some Final Fantasy feel to it as well. |

A lot of people have been saying that's pretty good. Thought the first one was absolute garbage though, personally, and that's put me off from pursuing any more of the series.

Got "Blue Is the Warmest Colour" lined up to watch at some point this week. From what I understand, it's basically a 2.5 hour French porno. I did have a flick through to see how often boobies were on show and there was def a pretty full on sex scene that was about 25 minutes long.

If you didn't like the first one, I wouldn't recommend the next one. I really fucking love it, but different strokes for different folks. Don't think that'll be your type of series.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug 8.5/10
Much better than the first outing. Feel like the series would have been much stronger if they somehow could manage to compress the first two movies into one (making it a two film series again). A couple of notes: I would like to Fili Evangeline Lilly. I liked the addition of her and Legolas into the plot. I got confused with Bard, because he looks exactly like Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Carribean. Smaug kind of sounded like Scar from the Lion King. Also, I felt that the "Misty Mountain" song was sorely missing from the film's score. I thought it would become like The Fellowship Theme in LotR, that would reoccur in all the movies. |

Yeah, the second could be seen as the same with some M Night twists in it. Not really like that, but the structure of the two are awfully the same, but I was wanting that for some reason. |

Blackfish: 7.5/10. Alternately fascinating and sad. I wish it was a little longer.
Dear Mr. Watterson: 6.5/10. Very little here for the already dedicated Calvin and Hobbes fan, but a good entry point for casual fans of the strip. Don Jon: 9/10. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so immensely talented. Scarlett Johansson remains the most physically enthralling woman on this planet, even as an over made up Jersey gutter rat. Far sweeter than you might think. American Hustle: 8.5/10. The best ensemble cast on screen this year, and far funnier as a predominant drama than a lot of straight comedies. |

I wonder exactly how big her male fan base is. Don't think Tony Danza has gotten enough credit for how good he was in his role. Also, JGL should get a lot of credit for pulling this movie off. They used the 'porn' hook to tell a pretty good story that was about personal growth, family, and finally love. Might go watch this again right now. Never thought I'd say that about Don Jon. |
