Final list for games beaten in 2011:
Assault Heroes Halo Reach Donkey Kong Country Returns Conflict Desert Storm Max Payne 2 Legend of Zelda (NES) - Second Quest Streets of Rage Remake (fan-made PC version) GTA IV: Lost and Dammed Half-Life 1 Gears of War 2 Punch-Out Wii Had the most fun with Punch-Out for games beaten last year. Games beaten in 2012: Sonic 2 (XBLA version) Took a while to get used to how Sonic plays after years of being used to the Mario style. Also tried to rush getting it done before the New Years but got too busy to finish. |

Just finished Fable 3. It was fun, but ultimately frustrating. Getting around and interacting with NPCs was more complicated than it needed to be.
I played the entire game as G.W. Bush (or how I thought he'd act in the situation) and ended with the angel-good finish. Totally told Paige to fuck off with her environmental bullshit...felt bad but justified when I allowed kids to work in factories and upgraded my orphanage into a homeless shelter/orphanage and she fucking leaves my side because I drain a fucking lake in a bourgeois neighborhood? The fuck?? Going to finish LA Noire, then go to Mass Effect 2, Brutal Legend and Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. |

Finally finished Assassin's Creed Revelations. Wanted to finish it before 2012, but just couldn't get motivated to do it.

Games beaten in 2012:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Haven't taken COD too seriously since I first played COD4 on PS3. I was so good then. Since my switch to 360 3 years ago, I haven't played too much COD and I suck again. I enjoyed the campaign fairly well. I don't believe the "graphic portion" was as offensive as the one in MW2. In fact I found the SPOILER: show |

Games I've Beaten in 2012:
Saints Row: The Third - 86 Ultimate MvC 3 - 80 Mortal Kombat - 85 Forgot to put this in last year's list. The first one at least, not the ultimate version. Even though I'm not really "done" with it I figure I might as well list it rate it before I forget. EDIT: Also, Mortal Kombat. It's very good, but I just can't be bothered with learning anymore fighting games. I say that after every fighting game though. Last edited by RoXer; 01-21-2012 at 06:26 PM. |

lol is anyone actually reading all these lists of games people are beating? I just can't picture anyone sitting on their computer going, "Gee whiz! Roxer beat Portal 2!'.
I think this thread would be much more entertaining if we all just went into more detail about what games we are playing at the moment. The thread is called "What are you currently playing?", not "What did you beat 6 months ago." |

Currently playing The Old Republic.
Easy to pick up, and there's something for any type of RPG player. The only drawback I found is that it's good to have a few buddies on so you can knock out some group quests. May have to wait a few days just for x amout of people on who needs to do x group quest. |

Games I've Beaten in 2012:
Saints Row: The Third - 86 Ultimate MvC 3 - 80 Mortal Kombat - 85 From Dust - 75 Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition - 60 From Dust seems like a really great game but I just don't have the fucking patience for it right now. Maybe if I was stranded on one of these desert islands I was creating in game than I'd have all the time in the world. Also lumped 3rd strike in there too for the same reason because fuck it I'm not going to play it anymore. And I rarely played it when I purchased it. Working on: Skate 3, Payday: The Heist, Resident Evil 5, Gears of War 3, Dungeon Defenders, Magicka, Bastion, Dark Souls |

How do you rate games Roxer?
I go with scores out of 20, for: Story Ingenuity Gameplay Setting/Game World Replayability |

Well the higher the number, the higher the rating it receives from me.
Whereas if it's a lower number, than that means it receives a lower rating. |

are trying to say that if a game was poor you would assign a low number to it to demonstarte its lower quality, and the intraverse of that for higher quality games?

Jesus Christ, You could have said that you just give them numerical ratings based on how much you enjoyed. There really was no need to be a jackass about it.

The numerical ratings are not based on how much I enjoyed it, but are based right next to the game title itself.

I may not have made myself clear so here is an example
From Dust - 75 The title of the game is in RED whereas the numerical rating is in GREEN. Clearly, you can see that the location of the rating is based right next to the title itself instead of being further down in the post or in a completely different post altogether. This way, it makes for a much smoother and cleaner reading experience. |

I think "replayability" is the first thing that I look for. Something that keeps me coming back to the game. And then compare it to other games in it's genre. And then consider if it had anything unique about it. And overall fun. I dunno. Lots of stuff

Pretty much the same for me, its why I gave DMC4 such a low score. Graphics and Gameplay got a decent rating but setting, ingenuity and replayability all posted low scores.

Also, RE5 got a 0 for replayability from me. No way I would torture myself a second time.

Games beaten in 2012:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (9.5/10) Bit.Trip Runner My brother had me play this on Wii when we got stoned. Beat it in one sitting. Simple jump, duck, kick platformer but awesome game nonetheless. And beautiful as hell when high. 10/10 |

I don't know what it is either, because the Mass Effect series is my favorite game series of all time. Wouldn't put one of them over the other, because they both have their strengths and flaws, and since the story is a continuation neither is better and it is simply 'the story of Mass Effect'.
Love them, and have played each 4-5 times. |
