Troll 2
2/10 shouldn't even be part of the Troll franchise. In no way ties in with the first one and the special fx are horrendous. Its really bad and not in a good way. Battle Royale 8/10 Finally got around to seeing this. It was super weird and awesome. |

Lars and the Real Girl- 9/10
Brilliant performances by the entire cast. The cinematography and score are mesmerizing, the story is so bizarre, and yet the theme is subtle. Highly recommended. It's what movies should be: powerful, creative and with a great mix of comedy and drama. |

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug (3D, HFR) - 9.5/10
Leaving the theatre, I distinctly heard one person say "That was awesome" to which an elderly woman replied "That was horrible, it is just a 200 page book". Original guy walked up to her and, I kid you not, went "Movie was amazing, fuck you haters" |

Lars and the Real Girl 5/10
Have heard so many good things about this movie, been meaning to watch it for some time... finally did. All this time I thought it was a "dark comedy", but turned out it was actually a vaguely depressing drama with an unrealistic feel to it. |

American Hustle - 3 out of 5. Solid, fun movie. Dragged for a bit and Jennifer Lawrence was totally miscast in her role, imo. It entertained me but I'm not going to want to see it again or ponder its themes.

I Spit on Your Grave
6/10 Really disturbing early 70s horror movie where a young girl is assaulted and brutally raped and left for dead by a group of four friends. She does not die and exacts extreme revenge on them. The concept is great and realer than most other horror movies. I liked how psychological it was and the differences in it are what made it good. The girl is also comp!etely naked for most of the film. It is disturbing though. |

The Hunger Games 7/10
Here is another one that I had wrong. I thought it was going to be a direct continuation onto the next movie type deal... but turned out it was the complete story. As such... it felt kind of rushed... I dunno... they built up the whole angle of being "liked" and getting "sponsors".... then they finally got to the competition and it only actually came into play something like twice. I feel like the actual competition could have been stretched out more, while all the build up could have been shortened. I have no idea what the sequel would be about, but I'll probably watch it eventually. It is still in theaters, unsure whether it is worth seeing it in theaters or not. Probably just wait. |

A good day to die hard - 7/10
Ends the slump of TERRIBLE movies I've been choosing recently. Everyone told me this was bad, so I went in with ZERO expectations. But it was okay. Strip away the story and it's explosions, shooting and car chases. Sometimes it's good to watch a movie where you can leave your brain behind. |

Pretty good run of films lately.
Gravity - Great. Wish I would've watched it in the cinema, but my TV had to do. Lunopolis - Recommendation from Frank Drebin, finally found it online. Really enjoyed it, check it out if you like time travel paradox stuff. Don Jon - Eh, it was okay. Nothing special though. Fruitvale Station - Pretty good, was expecting a little more though. Just didn't feel any sort of attachment to the main character really. Well worth a watch at least if you haven't seen it. Blue Is the Warmest Colour - Pretty good French "coming of age" film with loads of lesbo blowjobs. Actresses apparently weren't happy with how they were treated and it's not really surprising given the intensity of the sex scenes, one of which is 7 minutes long. Good film though. The Spectacular Now - Loved it. Right up with Gravity and Prisoners as one of the best films of 2013 for me. Really liked how it kept leaning towards typical teen drama tropes, but then takes it in another direction. |

Good reboot to Superman franchise. It wasn't great but good. Monsters University 7/10 Hungover on a Sunday morning with a bacon sandwich...just the cure this film. Required minimal commitment. |

Gravity 8.5/10
I really enjoyed it. Wish I saw it in theaters, seems like a good "theater" movie. It seems like one of those movies where you can only watch it once every few years. |

This was completely different than I thought i would be. Moments of comedy, drama, some suspense. Ellen Paige is UBER cute. Plus, the super hottttt chick who played Velma makes a small cameo. |

The Raid Redemption 7.5/10
The action in this movie was just balls out insane. Tony Jaa, Bruce Lee, Wesley Snipes, and JCVD would all be able to sit down and enjoy this movie. It's a great popcorn flick. Only reason I thought to watch this movie was because of this Trailer: |
