That one's worth tracking, but probably not threadworthy yet.

Took me 40 hours. I wanted to take my time with it, hence having it almost a year and only just finishing it.
Gonna start again in a few days with a new character and choose differently. Just trying to think of ways that they'll tie some things into Dragon Age 2. Like the Morrigan globe trotter thing |

I haven't finished ME2 or DAO and got them at launch. They bore me. I know Requiem will want to take me hostage and saw my head off on al jazeera in the name of Bioware, but ME2 took most of the fun out of ME. And Dragon Age...I like the strategy but it just got fucking tedious. |

Does DA play a lot like ME?

I liked the changes to the armor and weapons, as it means I no longer have to wade through heaps and heaps of useless inventory. Between that and the skills changes, I can see why the rpg nuts would be upset, as it does overly simplify things, but the rpg elements were never the main draw for me. Planet mining is more tedious than exploring with the mako, but you only really have to do enough of it to get your upgrades. And I like the trade off of less N7 missions but with more variety. |

Yes, but a lot of what drew me in was that it was a hybrid shooter/RPG. When you streamline the RPG out, it's a fairly standard shooter. Inventory was kind of the least of my concerns, but taking out skills kind of made builds boring. It also reduced variety. I can see why they revised the "ammo" system, but it was dumb. This story was less engaging, which is a shame because it was somewhat more original than the first. If they were going to take out so much, they could have at least given us more kewl powerz. Or something.

Planet mining is a lot better now, they patched it and it's a lot faster.

One thing I will say, is that despite the story being pretty good, it doesn't advance the overall plot at all.

Just bought Worms 3D (Xbox) for £1.99 online. I had it for the Ps2 when it first came out but, for some reason, my Ps2 hated certains games and the music would just jump and skip and, a lot of the time, the game just died on the loading screen. It wouldn't even read some discs at all.
Anyway, I looked online and it's compatible with the 360 so I can finally play it without random freezing. Although I bought Munch's Oddysee a few weeks ago because it was "compatible" and that was a let down. Yeah, it "worked" but the speech was completely inauidible which makes an Oddworld game unplayable. |

Went to Sony website and requested a service. They offered me a new PS3 slim for the price of the repair ($150) including shipping so I took it. It's not backward compatible like my old one was but oh well I hardly play my ps2 games anyways.

In more important video game news, I just beat Assassin's Creed 2, just going to finish collecting feathers. What used game should I look for next? Mass Effect 2? Just Cause? Bioshock?

I think Bioshock would bore BDC.
I know people are gonna be all "haters gonna hate," But I talk to him pretty frequently. Just Cause is fun and really cheap. The sequel is probably also fun, especially based on the demo. Do you have Saints Row 2 Yet, Becker? I can co-op with you even. |

Well, I wish you well. Just thought of this now. If you buy Mass Effect, but it new. It comes with the ''Cerberus Network'', which you otherwise have to pay for. You get some free DLC and such with it, it's pretty cool.

The Cerberus Network is $10 though, so if you can get a second hand one for more than $10 off the new price, get the second hand one.

THQ developing Red Faction: Battlegrounds as a PSN/XBLA downloadable game. Unlike the previous Red Faction games, this one is set to be vehicle-combat based with a top-down perspective.

Cerberus Network is a joke tho, innit? There's no much DLC that isn't pay.
