In other news the baffling decision to give every EX version of special moves its own unique input has been nixed. It’s now a simple button press to amplify special moves, ya know, like every fighting game since EX moves became a thing.

Very good to see they’re listening to fan feedback.

Closed beta being held from March 28-31 and the only requirement is you have to pre-order the game in order to get access.

Also the closed beta will only be available for Xbox One and PS4.

Also Jacqui was one of the more boring additions in the last game, but she already looks way more interesting here, both in design and Moveset.

I think in this case, they were just excited to announce the voice actor.

Regardless, it doesn't really hurt anything to announce it. Hell, in today's season pass obsessed enviornment, I would actually appreciate more transparency in terms of whats planned for DLC.

DLC tends to be developed way before launch so whether they announce it or not it's pretty much a given. Especially for fighting games.

Definitely an elder god of some kind. Honestly feels like more of an Injustice character than MK. Almost jarring to see her perform a fatality.

I like Frost’s design. I mean yeah, almost no resemblance to her previous looks outside of the mask and hair, but that’s by design. I really like the futuristic, almost alien design motifs of Kronikas faction.

Regardless, there will be plenty of options for outfits.

Seems the game requires a constant internet connection in order to unlock things due to how the Krypt and Towers of Time mode were designed. Also seems even having a constant internet connection isn't enough since its rumored you also need to have an active sub with Xbox Gold, PS+, or Nintendo Online as well.

Story mode and regular/classic Towers mode are not affected for unlocks.

According to people who have gotten the game early, unlocking things in the game is super grindy, to the point of frustration. Luckily, on the latest kombatkast, they stated they have been listening to this feedback and will be patching krypt and time towers soon.

Not sure if its the same size on other consoles but Destructoid reported that the Day 1 patch on the Switch is about 16 GB in size.

Also seems Warner Bros cheaped out on cart size and went with the smallest one allowed (8 GB) which would explain the large size of the Day 1 patch.

Destructoid also confirmed the constant internet requirement rumor for unlocking stuff.
