Sheehan is great in this , was brilliant in Misfits too.
Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would , I once had a first edition of the first comic somewhere, probably hidden in a lot of other stuff. I definitely think the end of it leads in to a second series , without giving anything away. |

Agreed. He easily had the most interesting and dramatic turn of events as the show went on, and was the most empathetic. The actor in the role did a helluva job.

How did you like Hazel and Cha Cha? I thought Hazel's story was awesome. I wasn't expecting about 90% of that show to happen.

I loved them both. Hazel was so damn likeable. And of course there was his love story with Agnes, which was so damn sweet.
I loved the dynamic between the two. Cha-Cha being devoted to nothing but the job and only that job. Hazel seemingly doing it cuz he was good at it, but wanted more. And his constant bitching about pay and benefits lol. Loved those little things. The end, knowing what happened to him, saddened me. |

Liked it too. Really good stuff here.
I dunno about the actor who played Klaus though. Feel like that's the generic representation of a drug addict they would teach in Acting 101. No real nuance to that character until his turn which took a while. Hazel and Cha-Cha really shine for me in this acting wise. Same for Luther. Not an Ellen Page fan but I don't think her acting ruins anything. Just never adds much to it. Story wise there are a a couple of things they gloss over and never explain (monkey butler) or are just plain plot holes but when it was good it was really good. |

I would watch a show about Hazel and Cha Cha. Like a very killy X Files.

He's devil-may-care to a tee but all the while he's simmering. When his arc changes in an instant you get the entire depth of the character and it's glorious. I love him, he's just a perfect mirror of my own neuroses.

Umbrella Academy sounds like a good name for an Anime about cute japanese schoolgirls going on adventures and using their umbrella's to defeat enemies including an epic duel between two popular characters where they fight each other with Umbrellas while making cute japanese anime noises.
I can see it now, "Umbrella Academy - Full Series box, $69.99, amazon.com" |

Show is very guilty of shoe-horning in lots of ugly examples of romance and with characters too annoying to pull it off in a meaningful way.
I think Klaus and Number 5 are the only two who have any endearing relationship's at all and one of them is with a mannequin torso and head. |

Aside from the awful romantic angles it is still top class. The first season had the same problem.

Huh, the show just made specific reference to Five's relationship with Dolores as the healthiest out of the lot.
Still, it's not an appealing gimmick when it takes up so much time having each character do their mopey romance routine instead of fighting the apocalypse. |

Forcing myself to stop reading my book to watch this before the website CBR continues giving too many spoilers in titles of articles.

Space Boy not as useless as he was last season, still a big sad sack though.
One thing that plagues me is why does nobody ever ask to speak to Ben through Klaus? Poor ghost is constantly ignored. |

Getting a bit pathetic now how easily some situations could be remedied and how stupid this makes everybody seem.
I mean I get that they are all supposed to be inept to some degree but being totally useless and dumb isn't relatable. Not with their gifts. Takes the shine off the quality when these things are over done. The last few episodes are all very good though, the first half weren't as action packed. Season 1 was great, season 2 is only "very good" even if it is basically just a rehash of season one in a different timeline. |
