Spider-Man: Far From Home - 8.5/10
Was really good. Better than the first, in my humble opinion. Loses some points for me due to lack of chemistry between Peter/MJ, and it feeling "forced".... |

Better than the first? Damn... I remember avoiding it for ages because I only got into the MCU within my time here but that is one of the best Spiderman films. I still wish Andrew Garfield had gotten a third, but he really is too emotionally tactile to be a superhero, though Spiderman was a damned good shout if he was ever going to be one.
Tom Holland is much more comically gifted and sympathetic. Toby Maguire is no longer the benchmark. Tom Holland all the way. |

I still like the first two Tobey ones the best, but they also have the un-objective "nostalgia factor" to them.... but also, I really do like them....

The third one would have been better had they played it a lot more straight. Venom is too camp but Sandman is actually totally in tone with 1&2. Remove Venkm and the dance scene and 3 is a good flick.

Also, Seanny is right. Holland has defined the role. He's awesome in it. Tho it'd never happen, I'd love a Spider-verse film bringing Toby and Andrew back for one more film. |

How many times did you jerk off to the rape scene before you finished the movie?

It was a difficult watch. I might of felt a little tingle in my dingle when they shoved the gun in her mouth. But yeah... I couldnt pull it out of my pants for that scene. It was like 20 minutes of brutal rape. She was hot as fuck though. The 20 minutes of rape was worth the watch once she starts getting revenge and killing the shit out of all of them. I love cheesy horror and slasher movies that are on Netflix or other services. I've watched about 20 of them in the last week. I Spit On Your Grave was a cut above all of them. I would have said 9/10 but the rape was really difficult to watch.

I Spit On Your Grave 2 - 5/10 - They didnt bring the same girl back and the ending was lame. Also pretty badly edited.
I Spit On Your Grave 3 : Vengeance Is Mine - 6/10- They brought the hot chick from the first one back. It was cool how they showed how she was coping after the first movie, but it kinda went off the rails in the 2nd half of the movie. Also the deaths were not even close to being as good as the 1st movie. There was one death where she's sucking a guys dick ( they show the dick in her mouth ) and then she stabs it with a knife as it's in her mouth and splits in half and chews off the tip and spits it in his face. THey showed all of this. I was impressed. Other than that, not even close to the first movie. But at least the hot chick was back. |

Mirage - 8.5/10 - This movie is fantastic. It's on Netflix. I would have given it a solid 9, but it's a Spanish movie that has english dubbed on it. It's only an issue if you really focus on the lips, but after the first 20 minutes or so, i became really interested in the movie and didnt think about it. It's a butterfly effect type movie, but it's extremely well done. One of the best i've seen.

Truth or Dare - As far as the horror genre goes, I'd probably give it an 8/10. Really gory stuff, unpredictable. First time in a long time that I have physically squirmed during a movie. Not bad at all.

Truth or Dare ( Netflix ) - 7/10 - Decent actors. The deaths were pretty good. There are a few real gory Saw like scenes in it that are cool. I thought it was somewhat predictable but that wasnt a big deal. I wasnt thrilled with the ending. |

I watched in On Demand on Spectrum, but what you're describing sounds like what I watched. Ending was a bit flat for sure.

Midsommar was upsetting. I saw it on a whim and didn't really know what it was about so I was unprepared for the impact it had. This also came on a day when I was feeling a little shaken because I almost set my house on fire.

Bad Times at the El Royale - 9/10
Really engaging stuff. I would have just liked a LITTLE more background on one aspect of the story (that I won't go into for fear of spoiling), but it was already almost two and a half hours long, so I see why they didn't. Really entertaining. |

Hell House LLC- 7/10- One of the better " found footage " type movies. It's done like a documentary investigation. It's about an opening night for a haunted house gone wrong and the police have sealed all documents having to do with what happened. The only thing people have to go on is a Youtube video that was posted that just showed that something went wrong in the basement. And documentary investigation begins there. The haunted house builders documented building the haunted house and they find that footage and by the end you see what happened on opening night.

Train to Busan - 10/10 - This is a foreign movie in Korean language i believe. This might be the best zombie movie i've ever seen. And i've seen a metric fuckton of zombie movies. And i'm not usually a fan of foreign language films. This movie is wonderfully shot. The zombies are legit. The fact that 80% of the movie takes place on a train raises the intensity level. And despite the language barrier, you get the feel for 10 or so characters so when they die, you're like.. damn!

A Most Violent Year-8/10
Oscar Isaac plays Abel Morales, a seemingly self made immigrant who owns a fuel distribution business. His trucks have been getting hijacked, and as he's trying to close on a new facility, the ADA begins an investigation into his company and we see that, despite his seemingly genuine intentions, he can't help but get caught up in the corrupt world in which he's dealing with. Oscar Isaac is magnetic. It's a slow burn, deliberately paced but gripping crime drama and Isaac carries the movie with a silent, confident and almost naive charisma in his character. Jessica Chastain plays his wife, who's very much hinted at being a dime store mob boss daughter who isn't anywhere near as smart or savvy, and much more emotionally charged in decision making. Albert Brooks is also in it, playing the couple's lawyer and advisor. He's unsurprisingly great in the screen time he gets. But really, this movie is all Oscar Isaac. His character is the central focus and he's damn near in every scene and reminds you of how great a talent he really is. |

All Cheerleaders Die- 4/10 - Bitches were hot but not enough tittie. The story was stupid but well shot.
The Collector - 7.5/10 - This has the guy that played the religious guy that was hunting Frank Castle in THe Punisher season 2. He was great in this. THe movie is pretty damn good. Got to see a great pair of titties also. I'm surprised this didnt come out at the theaters. It's theater quality. Great ending. Really solid movie. |

Crawl - 8/10
Great tension and Grisly Gators galore. Crawl knows exactly what type of film it is -- JAWS trapped in a house -- and it has a lot of genuine thrills. Claustrophobic and very-well paced, I think the vast majority of horror fans would really dig this film. |
