The Young Bucks are sending out tweets of them on a plane with Kenny Omega and saying that wherever Kenny goes, they go.
If I were in AEW management, I’d be kind of pissed about people I’ve suspended turning the situation into a rah-rah. But AEW isn’t professional, so it may mean nothing. |

It’s possible a Matt Jackson alt though. Here’s hoping The Bucks and Omega got their number called and were offered a chance to leave.

Sounds good. I’m gonna jump on that story and run with it because it fits my narrative. I’m all in on Rock’s promotion.

I blame the downfall of AEW on Jacksonville Jags doing decent. They should drop that futball club and Tony should get some non fan boi staff. There. I said it.

I don't know.
If I am Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks and I've been given contracts and EVP status to run certain and particular things within this new upstart company and I do that successfully for 2-3 years... then my boss hires an older wrestler to a BIG money contract (possibly more than them) and then this independant contractor whose been around for 6 months then got injured, returns and comes back and begins to take liberties and shit goes down and my boss does not have my back. FUCK THAT! I'd walk. |

Did they do it successfully though? Did they really?
I do get that it’s frustrating when someone comes in and is a threat because they can do this shit better than you and they have ideas for improving the company and your little vanity project is exposed though. |

I'm not surprised at this point. They're mostly going into buildings they were already in earlier in the year, and the booking has taken a significant downturn since their last visit.
With the booking as it is now, I don't blame anyone for not wanting to buy tickets without having a card. Most Dynamites are not a Grand Slam deal where you know they're gonna stack it. |

I skipped on Bridgeport tickets for the same reason. It's the go-home show before Full Gear. What's the betting most of the big names DON'T wrestle?
If the card ends up looking good, I can buy a cheap seat a day or two before. But I see no reason to pay full price to lock down great seats for a show that could very easily be skippable. |

Seriously, we all want an alternative. I’ve been down on AEW longer than most, granted, but everyone wants wrestling to be better.

Sure ya don't
I bet you wouldn't wanna honk Toni Storm's titties either eh? Seriously though, it's always been this way, it was just the "new car smell" that was blocking a lotta bad outta people's minds. I've loosely watched it from the start, and they occasionally do have some bangers, but there seems to be zero consistency and WTF bookings. They fix those two issues, they'll be okay. |

Who would have thought that a wrestling promotion booked solely by an over excited fan with no experience would turn into a confusing mess.

Pretty clear AEW's been on a downward trend this year. I might not be quite as down on it as many on this board (Dynamite sucked this week though) but it's noticeably worse. Khan's worst booking tendencies are never reigned in. |

Look at Arther Ashe last year, they drew 5000+ more people. Just because they are price gouging their most loyal fans does not mean the business is growing. Yes, the purpose is to make money, but AEW hypes the gate gross, but gross doesn't mean anything. Even with a higher gross and 5000 less fans, did they Net more than last year's Arthur Ashe? Did they Net anything? How many new people have been added to the payroll since last year? AEW's payroll in 2022 is certainly higher than it was in 2021. Tiny said last Arthur Ashe was close to a million, how close? How much above that mark was this year's show? 5000 less fans. Much higher payroll. Grossed maybe $100,000 more. For a guy who is ALL about numbers and stats, he sure expects everybody to ignore basic metrics so he can pretend to his daddy that he is a good businessman. |

Since they're going to Seattle for the January 4 Dynamite, what they really ought to do is hit up Portland for January 11 and Vancouver on January 18th.
If the main reason behind their lack of West trips is logistics, it makes sense to hit up the northwest while they're already up there. Find a place around there to store the equipment so you don't have to schlep it back to Florida every week. Gets you 3 potential new markets you're visiting, hopefully 3 nice gates, and also helps with the issue they've run into of running the same places too close together. There might be more "major" towns in the east but they are so close together you're drawing from essentially the same audience. A Baltimore audience is weakened by DC and Philly shows. NYC/Long Island/Newark will mostly have the same audience, etc. When you burn out friggin Chicago from visiting too often, you're doing something wrong. |

i understood the reliance on chicago at the beginning because it's a solid wrestling area in a centralized location with a major transport hub that people from all over can come through. you can count on chicago itself to buy tickets and show up. but when i heard the rumors earlier this year that maybe all out was going to be in toronto i was actually relieved. the only reason i want them to keep running all out in hoffman estates is that gcw runs their weekend of shows, and that is fun.

So then I figured it had to be a matter of logistics. Which, fair....moving a ton of equipment, rigging etc gets expensive if you have to bring it back to the Florida hub every week. But that's why you need to invest in getting some form of storage facility in each region so you can do loops out there instead of visiting the same places in perpetuity. |
