Jamie Noble doesn't really have the credibility to be a tune-up opponent for Bryan, I guess, but maybe they could, I dunno, give him some? Like not a World Title push or anything, but maybe Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble get into a disagreement one day, Mercury slaps Noble and Noble takes him down. Seth could get between them and Noble could scream in Rollins' face that he quits. Face turn. Noble wrestles and is actually surprisingly good, and maybe then he can be used sporadically as a part-time guy.

Fuck it, Mercury vs. Noble could be used as a bit of an attraction in the mid-card of a PPV. Didn't The Mean Street Posse vs. Patterson & Brisco actually get a really high TV rating? The idea of two guys who are sort of stooges actually fighting until there is one winner has a weird sort of appeal to it.

I would also mark out if Jamie Noble, using his stint with The Authority to gain some pull, came out with the Cruiserweight Title over his shoulder as Seth Rollins' guy still. The title wouldn't be officially brought back, but Noble could just jokingly declare himself the permanent Cruiserweight Champion. I don't know, I'm just spit-balling now.

Miz & Sandow are destined to split, so why not have Mercury & Noble be the team that beats them? This gets under Miz's skin so much that he fires Sandow, leading to the face turn, and then Noble & Mercury can be dirty rotten scoundrels with the titles for a few weeks.

Guy was too tall for AJ to use the Clash. Could have ended up like another Kazarian incident had he landed forward.

Probably could make the move a bit safer if he included a mini-stall like how DDP would hit the Diamond Cutter sometimes. Lets the other guy get a bit more time to prepare for impact.

They are taking a similar risk as WWE, in the sense they are undercutting the price of iPPVs, as the big shows have been 1800 yen, and the Tokyo Dome was last year around 3500 yen, looking to increase volume with the lower price. WWE was not successful in the same strategy. They also also apparently giving up Samurai! TV, as the shows that were formerly on Samurai! TV, like the Korakuen Hall shows, will now by on the service.

*If you time your order, you would be able to watch the entire G-1 Climax series for $8.40 instead of $150 from two years ago and $110 this past year. When it comes to the U.S. market, they are undercutting themselves, but the U.S. is not their primary market.

RIP Rodger Kent.

It seems nearly all of the great voices of the AWA have left us. Many of them in the past year or two. Lee Marshall, Larry Nelson and now Rodger.

Gene Okerlund seems to be one of the last few that remain IIRC.

Former AWA broadcast team member Rodger Kent (a/k/a Rodger Vogel) died on Friday at age 90, according to MuseumOfBroadcasting.com. There will be a memorial service for Kent held at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting in St. Louis Park, Minnesota on December 14.

Powell's POV: Kent worked with the AWA for roughly 25 years and also worked in radio in the Twin Cities for a number of years following a stint with ABC radio. He resided in Cook, Minnesota at the time of his death.
