If I’m WWE, I’m stoked Tony Khan is blowing his money on Jon Moxley. What am I going to do with him? He hasn’t been good since 2016. You can cash in on The Shield thing a little bit, but do you want to be forced into the position of booking him strong to convince talents you actually want to jump ship?

Let him stay in AEW doing the garbage shit you can make fun of. Let him impart “wisdom” on a bunch of green guys. I’d maybe sign his wife to do Talking Smack since she’s great in that role and he might go inside knowing she’s in the other company with bigger stars. It’s brutal, but hey — make the other guys implode.

There's really only 5 folks in AEW I would be interested in signing, if I were Trips.

I am talking about Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Wardlow, MJF, and maybe Thunder Rosa as a trainer. Perhaps even Abaddon for a one off with Bray Wyatt.

Your list reads very similarly to mine. I’d add Jade Cargill though. I’m iffy on Britt Baker because of her attitude. I haven’t seen enough of Jamie Hayter. Hit them in the women. They’ll need to present a women’s division, so if you take anyone worth anything close to a shit, they’re up the river on that one.

But some of these guys and girls are better salvos going off in AEW’s own ship. MJF and Jade Cargill are the two they sort of get right. They’re the ones I would poach. Decide everyone else when their contracts come up and let them be miserable there in the meantime.

Lower on the card, I’d consider Brian Pillman, Jr., Brock Anderson and Griff Garrison too. Private Party too. But that’s NXT level stuff.

Aside from MJF I would not sign any AEW original. Not because they are bad, but I don't think you can unteach the bad habits they have learned working for Tiny.

Lets be real, she left WWE thinking she was going to get a Fox Sports job, but they did not jump at the chance to sign a mid 30's personality who anchored a show that got 100,000 viewers. Instead she takes a step back to work for a lesser wrestling company.

At least good for her getting some of Shad's Money too.

Seriously though, it seems like Ariel really lowered the bar for himself here. He's a legit, respectable journalist and he's coming off as a bitter cry baby. Saying anyone who thinks AEW is better than WWE is a liar, things like that. He knew TK wasn't going to answer those questions, and if he didn't know then he's about the only person who even remotely pays attention to wrestling who didn't. As much as I think TK sucks, Ariel comes off looking like a little bitch here in comparison.
