HBO recently ordered a new season to be made and rumored to be arriving in 2018.

Looks like HBO's gamble hoping this would be their big replacement for Game of Thrones ended up paying off since the weekly viewer average is higher than what GoT did for its first season. Also doing a lot better than True Detective did for its first season.

Kind of bad data though isnt it? West world is able to have higher veiwership due to GoT raises the number of subscribers. Their retention rate with be interesting.

Somewhat. By default it needed to be a huge success because of the bigger sub base and huge sums of money HBO spent for the show.

If it was marginally better, HBO probably would have been frustrated because of the money spent and if it was worse, they'd be in a bigger panic since they'd have nothing big ready to replace GoT.

Since the show is a big hit, HBO probably sees enough in their data to believe any subs drops after GoT's ends is either going to be small or non-existent with what Westworld can bring to the network.

I think that theory is based mostly on when Ford showed Bernard this photo and said that it was a photo of Arnold, but the 2 people in the photo are Ford and his father. Looks like there is a space for a 3rd person that Bernard can't "see" which is y people think that Bernard couldn't see "himself" / Arnold.

Also I watched the original movie and it was kinda shitty. Felt incredibly rushed and simple and basic. The show is nothing like the movie.

Been bothering me all season: how are the guests safe guarded from melee attacks? Arrows?

I dont want to over think the show but it seems like a glaring issue.

"Chilling" episode... very good. Even though I was expecting all the "reveals" via reading Reddit theories, it was still freaking sweet as hell. Kinda even made it better.

Or at least definitely that the William storyline is in the past. Early in the season, the "Man in Black" talked about how he opened up the robots in the past and they were all mechanical instead of blood and guts like the modern ones. Dolores was v mechanical when she got stabbed by Logan which indicates it was in the past, back when she was an "old model."

Also there was some other thing about the logos used. When William first comes to Westworld, they are using the "old logo" in the room where he gets his introduction.

"Wyatt" is probably Dolores.

When Teddy keeps having flashbacks to the Wyatt massacre, that is the same place where Dolores also had flashbacks to herself with a gun, with lots of people being shot.

Also it was revealed she killed Arnold, so probably went on a "killing rampage"

Teddy is looking for Wyatt and leading the man in black to "Wyatt"... Is told he will find Wyatt at the church, and when he gets there, he finds Dolores

Nah doesnt work. Dolores was at her farm when the man in black showed back up. Also the wardrobe contradictions and such.

I think Dolores went on a killing rampage 30 years ago and killed a bunch of the staff and Arnold and now, 30 years later, Ford is trying to recreate that. They had the church and stuff rebuilt, and Dolores is returning to it, etc. Maybe Ford is getting her to go on a killing rampage again and kill the Delos board members and stuff.

Im ok with the story being told out of order but i really hope that if thats the narritive that there is some compelling pay off to doloris being wyatt. Im open to it though.
