Did the VIP’s almost ruin it for you?

The VIPs were terrible but I also didn't think they were meant to have any redeeming qualities.
It's weird because I don't want the VIPs in a season 2 but also know that them meeting their demise would be satisfying. |

I've just finished watching the four seasons of Cadfael. It is a mid-1990s detective series, set in the C12th and revolves around the sleuthing of a Benedictine monk, Brother Cadfael, played by Derek Jacobi. I've seen some of it over the years, but until now I don't think I'd ever seen an episode all the way through. Derek Jacobi is fantastic in it, and it has surprisingly high production value for a mid-90s UK television series. If you like "whodunnits" with a difference, try it out.
I'm on to the final series of 30 Rock. I think I've enjoyed the show more the second time round. As like a lot of series, particularly comedy series, the quality dips after the third series, but it remains consistently high. Though, my attraction to Tina Fey might be clouding my judgement. I'm two episodes into the Amazon series, Leonardo, which is based on Leonardo Da Vinci. I like it so far; the only weak aspect is the chap who played Norman Bates in Bates Motel, but he is not in it much. |

Cadfael does give that impression, but it is pretty good.

Is there ever the right idea with Andy Dick? No, I thought not.
Carry on. |

I honestly think Andy Dick would have made a great heel wrestling manager and I’ve said it before.

30 Rock done, Leonard done, and I've just finished rewatching The Pillars of the Earth.
I now need to find another series or 2 to watch. |

What We Do In The Shadows the TV series is so good. The stupidly high joke count makes repeat viewings very easy. So much talent.

Never watched S2 (except the first episode). S1 just seemed like a "complete" story to me so I wasn't so compelled to watch.... the fact that no one was talking about it also did not help. Everyone was hyped and talking about S1 and I have heard like zero people talk about S2 or 3.

Went back to American Horror Story having watched Season 1-3 we skipped to S7 then haven’t watched. Watched American Horror Stories and picked up from S8 which seemed interesting…until it became a crossover with S3, incorporated Hotel which I haven’t watched and then went back to Murder House which induced eye rolls from me. I liked the idea that you can pick and choose what you watch so the fact there’s so many call backs has annoyed me. I liked the recurring cast but having them play 3 characters in the same season is meh. Still got a few eps to go but not holding out much hope.

Two definitely expounded on S1 and you should watch it. I've only watched E1 so far, and it is interesting, but there are a lot of questions. |

Season 2 wasn’t bad at all, it just wasn’t 100% brilliant like season 1.
Plot holes and annoying shite aside, it does have a tremendous story with Peter Mullan that really picked the season up as a whole. |

On S3E3 now - and yeah, it's definitely worth a watch so far.
Ties in to a lot of "real world tech" right now too, which I'm into, and probably why it strikes a chord with me. |

I should really watch the Reno 911 series all the way through from start to finish. I’m not sure why I never have before, I used to love catching it on tv. The film wasn’t half bad either - I always wondered if a weed whacker would fuck your face up but I am too scared to test it out.

Aaron Paul is ridiculously good in Westworld S3.
Just finished up the episode titled "Genre" where there's a party drug that sends you through 5 "genres of movies" and the expressions and changes he goes through are done VERY well. Overall, great season thus far. |

I've been watching old seasons of Lark Rise to Candleford.
It is essentially an old people show or for those who want something gentle to watch on a Sunday evening, but I kind of like it. I also like Julia Sawalha. |

Rewatched World Without End, which is set in the same fictional town of Kingsbridge as its predecessor, The Pillars of the Earth, but 200 years later. Not as good as the former, but good enough.

Tb1 has had me watch a few shows start to finish this year and his selections seem to be based on the fact that he knows I will become infatuated with the female lead or supporting character.

Finished up Westworld S3. Seemed to move very fast compared to the first two seasons, with tons more action.
implications from the last episode are huge and could go a few different ways. Either way, if they do continue the series, I will watch. |
