She did come in pretty hot off that dropkick, but they know their body's limitations and Threat seems to be fine, so I'm assuming it looked a lot worse than it felt.

Triple H and Punk most definitely don't like each other and would probably still butt heads creatively, so I'm sure that would go well.
If both sides have motivation to "stick it" to AEW I could maybe see a one-off Mania match or something but I can't imagine that relationship wouldn't deteriorate quickly if he were in the locker room full time. |

Punk's been on record that his surgery and recovery from his foot injury earlier this year was brutal and the most miserable physical experience of his life. Kinda wonder if immediately getting a major injury in his first match back would be a point where he says "fuck it" as far as in-ring competition is concerned. Maybe he's happy with his final match being winning a world title in Chicago.
If he's content never wrestling again, it wouldn't be a bad idea to just take a Legends deal and get free money from the HOF induction, merch, and video game royalties that would result. |

The story was that FOX wanted Punk on their WWE Backstage show. Punk didn't want to actually work for WWE and, notably, WWE didn't want to work with Punk again either. So it was strictly a FOX deal with Punk and Punk had no involvement at all with anyone from WWE that wasn't on that show.
Vince being gone would normally change things but Punk and Hunter didn't have a good relationship either by all accounts. |

Hope Hunter brings Punk in for a surprise WM match and then tells him day of the show he's jobbing to an also returning Kevin Nash.

WWE should never give Punk a single cent. For anything. He deserves no legends contract, no new royalties, no new merch money. Hiring him just to spite AEW would be the dumbest decision anyone in WWE has made in YEARS in terms of the business side of things.
Hell, considering just how much drama and BS has surrounded Punk pretty much everywhere he goes, I think WWE should snub his ass for the HoF too just to watch him be petty and make even more of a fool out of himself. |

Actually, they should tell him he's going over Nash only for HHH to run out in a refs shirt and pull off a new screw job on him. Do it in Chicago too.

Yeah, AEW fucked up the early negotiations (probably on purpose) and Punk wanted to go to WWE to stick it back to them. Vince knows how much he gave Punk last time and how little he appreciated it. They didn’t need him and he doesn’t move the needle that much. If you’re going to bring in CM Punk it’s to be a main eventer. Which main eventer would you bump? It doesn’t make sense. That being said, I hope WWE does bring him back now and shows AEW how it’s done. I hope the truth about AEW and The Elite comes out. I’d love to see the venom fly. I think Punk having a run as a salty veteran in NXT could be a lot of fun. AEW are also backing away from Thunder Rosa. They have their cult and if they are going to stick to serving them Kool-Aid, they deserve what they get. There is no interest in making the product better or treating people correctly. It’s about stroking certain egos. Fuck AEW and I personally hope Punk takes them for all they’re worth. I just hope a bunch of other talented people can get out if they want too. |

Belts aren’t everything, but WWE made him a World Champion 5 times. He was put in that spot since 2008. It’d be like Sheamus complaining he never received a push there. How do you tell your active roster that they are going to get less TV time now that you’re bringing that guy back?

Only way WWE would sign Punk would be to make him do the J.O.B. to real wrestling stars like Otis and The Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin.

I could see him being part of Shelton and R-Truth’s thing, honestly. Salty Veterans Union.
Punk is pretty talented. He can talk, he can make people care, his matches are put together wisely (minus stupid flippy clotheslines). He wouldn’t be bad for content. I’d mark out for him coming through the crowd and giving Bron Breakker a GTS. And I’m not the biggest Punk fan. He can coach and commentate too. He’s a much better value add than any of The Elite, who suck all-round. |

Lol, Dave’s trying to put himself front and center in the Brawl Out story. He’s also saying Ace Steel’s wife was not spoken to as part of the investigation, so that tells you all you need to know about how bullshit all that is.

What if Punk came out and hugged Triple H and announced he learnt from his reckless youth. He is here to help secure a safe and viable future for WWE and its Superstars.

Would love to see Punk involved in Austin Theory and Bron Breakker’s business in NXT. Throw Paul Heyman into the mix. Pay him even more money and have him be the guy guiding the career of Theory in order to protect Reigns from him and vice versa. That is until Punk comes along.

I’m not sure Tony Khan has ever earned a position on merit in his life. He’s had bought positions of authority and he seems to fall short in every single one.

If you think Triple H is going hire CM Punk after all he's said about WWE, Triple H and his family, I think you have the wrong impression of Triple H.

Punk is a forever malcontent and I have a very tough time seeing him go back to WWE where his leash to run his mouth because he’s mad is going to be much much shorter. He’s also not going to be the guy there like was supposed to be in AEW. In no way if he’s getting elevated over Roman. No chance.

I would have the exact same problem with it.
Why can't he get through a promo without having to talk about his former employer? If I want to hear about AEW ill watch AEW, keep it off WWE. He still got absolutely embarrassed in real fights, he does not have the credibility for it to be believable that he can win fights. He has also shown he will botch and get injured. He is still an absolute bitter turd of a person. |

I think there is money in Punk. He’s not going to massively spike anything outside an initial appearance, and that has always been the case, but there are things left for him to do. The quality of things he is involved with can help others get better too.
Compare that to The Elite, who aren’t money and don’t help out anyone. You’re going to get more out of talent CM Punk grooms. That being said, I want Punk out of AEW because it’s a waste. |

Punk has literally never made anybody better. His genius advice to Kevin Owens was don't wear a t-shirt. Then Owens went and Main Evented Wrestlemania with Steve Austin, with both guys wearing T-Shirts... GOOD CALL PHIL!
