I got the Spider-Man Special Edition on pre-order from Gamestop. It comes with the statue.



The statue design was supposed to be revealed sometime during the Summer. Obviously, launch is a few weeks away. Fans were getting anxious and asked Insomniac what's the hold up.

A couple days ago, Insomniac says they aren't releasing the design. They're keeping it under wraps because the Statue could spoil the entire game. In fact, "Don't open the statue until you beat the game" was their exact words.

Just about a year after release and Destiny 2 is a freebie.

Bungie must be really betting everything on Forsaken and praying it doesn't disappoint. I'd like to know how much Sony has paid all this time for exclusive rights, marketing, etc.

1) EA and DICE announced Battlefield V's release has been delayed by a month with November 20th as the new release date. Official reason related to them needing more time and unofficial reason related to pre-orders being very low due to CoD and Red Dead Redemption 2 being way more popular for this Fall's big releases.

Also been suprised it wasn't backwards compatable on the One. since I own the game in Digital Form.

Likely a rights issue since until now, believe it was the state of Rhode Island that still owned the IP. EA only owned the publishing rights to the game although not sure if they kept it after the state took over the IP.

I can't even remember what happened, something about a dark elf, but he wasn't called a dark elf, and everyone just kept using made up words more than they used actual words. There was a kingdom under a tree I think? Green elves? I can't remember anything past that so I must have mentally checked out at the point. Was that even near the end?

Apparently I got a platinum trophy in 8 days and I can't recall a single additional detail from that last post. That pretty much sums up my Kingdoms of Amalur experience.

During a recent interview with website Dengeki, Konami revealed they are currently considering the idea of developing a new game in the Zone of the Enders series.

Also stated sales for the remaster of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner for PS4 and PC will determine if they go ahead with making a new game or not.

Late Night News Edition
Apparently EA might end up causing loot box systems to be banned in all of Europe instead of just Belgium and the Netherlands due to their refusal to follow Belgian laws against gambling.

Basis involves the Belgian (and Dutch) government recently declared loot boxes to be a form of gambling and are requiring gaming companies to follow those laws in order to keep their games legal for sale.

Activision and Blizzard removed loot boxes from their games in dispute, 2K Games pulled their loot boxes and asked fans to tell their government to change the decision, and others tweaked their loot box systems to be compliant. EA decided to give the equivalent of a middle finger and kept selling loot boxes after being warned to stop.

Now EA is currently facing a lawsuit over the issue and instead of settling, want to fight it in court thinking they can overturn it or pay off people to make the issue go away. Instead the current feeling is EA is going to lose big time and screw other publishers in the process.
