Nintendo rumored to be currently working with Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me and Minions series) on a new Super Mario Bros film. Also currently planned for a 2020 release date.

I think it's ridiculous since the Academy already increased the best picture nominee's to 10.

It's even more ridiculous the reason they did move to 10 films was because people were annoyed they left out The Dark Knight when it was released...so the response was to nominate 10 films...which turned into 10 films just like the 5 they were already nominating.

I've heard Ballers is funny but haven't seen it

All these articles either directly echo the theory, or have a BP screenshot right on the headline. And all I did was search "oscars popular film category", not "black panther oscar" or any skewed shit like that. All links from the first page of the search. And I'm not linking thousands of social media posts all guessing the same thing even before the articles when the new category was just rumor.

Castle Rock ended yesterday. I love the series, the finale wasn't very cathartic which I was emotionally hoping for but I was intellectually satisfied by the ending and the set up for season 2.

Those are the main Sherlock's of the last ten years from TV to Film. I think there's a kids comedy coming out too.

For a character that always includes action, comedy and deduction there really aren't too many more ways to play it until they pull a female Shirley Holmes out of their arses.

I imagine they got to work on where and how they'd be introduced in the MCU as early as last year. It's early enough in the next phase to make things work.
