Fuck taking sides at the moment, all I can really think is that if I'm in AEW, particularly someone that worked the show, I'd feel pretty fucking deflated that we've just had one of the biggest shows of all-time and now all anyone is talking about again is locker room drama.

Like, no matter who is at fault, it's a really fucking bad thing that whatever "momentum" was gained is just going right back into talking about what a shitshow it is backstage. Like it's all gone to waste.

Ever since the backstage drama wars started I have found it very difficult to enjoy AEW the same way I did before. Admittedly a lot of my lost interest is due to a lack of PAC and Danhausen though, not just the drama.

TK thinks drama is good. That's how he wants to run the promotion so thats what we're getting. Its his vision. He fails to see that you then need to harness that into on screen shit in order for it to actually be good for the business.

I can't believe TK is so shit at his job that I have to use Vince as an example of how to run a promotion.

It works in a couple of ways. One, everyone knows about a beef so it draws eyeballs and moves tickets. Second, it sends the message to talent that their little squabbles can and will be put on TV which could make them look stupid and push them down the card. Mind yourself or Daddy with fuck with you because its HIS promotion, not yours.

The show wasn’t spectacular enough to justify people talking about it. The backstage drama shouldn’t be happening, because TK should fucking discipline The Elite side, but let’s not pretend that if it weren’t happening the product would be sizzling. Wrestlers should be annoyed that the booking of this promotion with the best initial backing ever throws it all down the well with bad hirings, bad booking and bad management.

It might be shut down if Punk leaves. Nick Hausman has said he thinks Punk will leave. I’m not sure how much insight he actually has on that though. But he’s been closest to the Punk camp so far. You can only jerk around the guy holding your company up so long.

Completely agree. If there is no punk to run collision, then the Saturday night show basically becomes Dynamite 2.0, just on a worse market for TV because of the night it is on.

The Khans have the resources to fund it for as long as they want. How long that will be at a loss is up to how much Shad wants to let Tony throw his money down a well.

The idea is for it to make money back. That’s why TK charges for ROH and has presumably agreed to do Collision in the first place. No one was asking for more AEW content, at least from the AEW end. It’s a bad idea for anything other than money. So the question is just how much Tony needs that money to be coming in. We won’t know that until it isn’t.

Eventually WBD is going to wake up and see how toxic Tony Khan has made his company. While the Elite and everyone else don't make it better, he is the one that has the supreme authority to stop people from behaving the way that they do. Eventually, there is going to be some form of altercation where there will be someone who gets seriously hurt, but Tony and AEW as a whole will be at fault because again, as I have said so many times before, he would rather be the fanboy than the owner of a major company.

Another thing to keep in mind re: Collision:

Since it’s a wrestling audience, we assume that it’s the same people watching every week. But given the night and the more casual flex the show seems to have, it’s possible that Collision actually gets more unique eyeballs than Dynamite does. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprise if Dynamite has largely the same core audience every week. Or a higher ratio of weekly viewers than Collision, which might have more of a rotation.

If The Elite are left to stock Collision, it’s possible that not only the numbers week-to-week drop, but the size of the gross audience is also much, much smaller.
