I'm pretty far into Shadow of the Colossus now and it's pretty great. Finding it much more engaging than ICO. The electric eel colossus genuinely scared the shit out of me, Wander clearly has balls / lungs of steel.

Games beat in 2013:
Tomb Raider - 5/5 Suikoden 5 - 5/5 Loved it, 40 hours well spent. Sad there most likely is never gonna be another Suikoden game. Gonna start Suikoden 4 sometime next week I think. Last edited by LoDownM; 06-09-2013 at 03:54 AM. |

I came late to the party, but I just finished Assassin's Creed 2. Great game, improved on every minor complaint of the first. Just ordered Brotherhood and Revelations off of Amazon. Might take a break, though, and finish Hitman: Absolution.

Ahem, back to the topic at hand, though, which was my question to DAMN iNATOR, where I asked him how to achieve the creation of the heart symbol which has appeared in the previous three posts on the page (although it did appear in my post it does not mean I know how to create it as I merely copied and pasted it from Requiem's post, thus me continuing to inquire on the matter).

Sadly it does not, as I only have a standard laptop keyboard which is of the QWERTY variety, and is without any fancy-shmancy symbol entry buttons that would allow me to create the empty heart that I desire (it's poetic really; I'm full of desire and yet I want an empty heart... anywho). Do you have a suggestion for me or other users in my position as to how we can circumvent this obstacle to help us in our qualm? (While I know I can make the symbol [♡] and that it isn't ABSOLUTELY mandatory that I be able to know the method of creation, it would be helpful if I had a go-to method of making it, so that whenever I want to use it I can do it on the fly instead of having to refer back to this thread.)

Remember Me. A fucking wacked yet good gameplay mechanics in the tradition of Arkham, Tomb Raider, Assasin's Creed, Total Recall, Eraser and Minority Report in one..
I also liked the boss battles in this one esp. the memory remixes in other people's memories.. At first, I thought the memory glitches felt like my game was on error and static much like in a TV screen but still, it was intense of rewinding and moving objects ala the Matrix style. And the heroine looks like Halle Berry/Rihanna lovechild. lol. |

Finished beating the game Remember Me... On hardcore mode "Memory Hunter" option.. My only complaint are the camera angles during the boss battles esp. the last one. I can hardly tell whether I'm being hit from behind or front everytime I shoot the cubes... Still, it was another Game of the year 2013 nominee for me... And I like the message of the game of how memories can be just as part of human life despite negative ones and trying to change the past by manipulating the minds of other people and their dark secrets.. Nilin is the new Tomb Raider of the cyber world. More like memory raider.. Still, I could care less if the battle fight moves are repetitive or whatnot.. There's one boss battle named Kid X-Mas who behaves like Punch Out's Bald Bull charging at you everytime you punch and he blocks. Highly recommend this game..
The Leapers and Skinners reminded me sooo much of Bioshock's Splicers... And the final boss battle with the AI of Memorize was just as intense as beating a giant Human Reaper in Mass Effect 2.. I died many times trying to beat his ass by just shooting the fucking cubes without being interrupted by LOTS of Leapers esp. the invisible ones that scratch your ass to the floor for it. Also, I'm done beating Fuse.. Even on Normal mode the final boss battle can be totally frustrating.. Stupid Medic AI doesn't even notice me when I tap A to crawl faster when hurt. |

Finished my 2nd playthrough of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and got 2/3 100 pt. achievements. Just gotta play once more on hard with the safeties off and do a supersneaky run through factory zero and that'll be done. But that's another day.
Next: Finish King Washington in Assassin's Creed 3. Followed by The Witcher 2. |
