Never understood perfumes based on people. Do they really get it to 'smell' like people? What's the connection other than name?

Overrated Kim Kardashian is in talks of portraying Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider reboot, which would shoot in (> post convert into) 3D because... ya know... it'll be as good Avatar then. Totally.

He doesn't sound right when it's not Dan Castellaneta. I thought it was going to be a new game, not just a rerelease of the first one. |

Dan's portrayal from the (actually excellent) cartoon was awesome, Hell the cartoon elevated the brand for me (didn't care much more the games).

I liked the cartoon but I have only ever played the N64 EWJ game. Never played the ones from the SEGA.

I'd think they'd continue the open-world model that was so well received.

What is a good thing that is 600 points on the virtual console/Wii Ware. Ninja Gaiden Arcade looks pretty good, somebody said that arcade game was awesome.

Yeah, the arcade is even better than the NES.
Dunno though, not been on the Wii Shop for ages. Are Neo Geo games 600 points or less? |

The arcade was rarely ported to home consoles, the NG series we know on the NES was a different game.
I have little knowledge on what's available on Wii's arcade shop. BDC has a Wii. |

Assuming its true, Activision is in the process of releasing a GoldenEye game on the Wii and DS.
Its not based on the N64 game or using the Brosnan version of the Bond character but at the same time not based on the horrible E.A. version of Goldeneye either. http://www.destructoid.com/ooops-act...d-175549.phtml |

I started Final Fantasy 8 like 6 months ago. I just started playing it again since it's one of the few games that I left unfinished. It really sucks dick. I hate it. I am only 6 hours in. In this fucking town called Timber. Had to look on a fucking strategy guide to go down some path in the town that is supposed to be obvious but I couldn't find after wandering around for 30 minutes. Fucking hate this game.

Add but take nothing away, damnit. I'm fine with the singleplayer story being different or not even the same, but at least keep the multiplayer maps the same. |

Love to know how Rare feels about this, or how this even got this far.

I'm guessing it's because Acti owns the Bond license now that they can do pretty much whatever they want, so long as it involves the new Bond and such. Though I don't really get why it's a Nintendo exclusive. Shit would bank on all platforms.
And I'm more than pretty sure Rare are pissed. Isn't this something they almost did before, but got held up by licensing? |

If they wanna make a FPS 007 game called GoldenEye they can actually do that legally, but this talk of retelling the cinematic story of GoldenEye (which I assumed was Rare's exclusive right even after all these years), and recreating the campaign/multiplayer maps is what confuses me.
I can't comment on the exact dealings between Rare, Nintendo, and MGM - but I can say Activision's straight-up biting a legacy they had nothing to do with. It's weak sauce even if they're allowed to do it, and pretty much a paycheck job so they can put their Bond license to use this year. Or they could actually update a great game on a console starved of great 3rd party games and deliver something cool. WHO KNOWS |

I would think retelling the story would still fall under their license though, so i think that'd be fine. But yeah, as far as recreating the maps I'm not too sure.
And yeah no doubt Activision are pretty shitty for fucking with something that only Rare SHOULD have the right to do, but I'm sure Infinity Ward aren't too surprised. I'm hoping this turns out to be great, but still pretty shitty that the company that made the game possible catches shaft. I'd be all for Rare rereleasing Goldeneye as a XBLA/PSN/Whatever the Wii has game minus the name, characters and a modified story. |

Lance Storm once blogged, "People wanna be like celebrities, celebrities have no reason to act like people (in response to Shark Boy's old Stone Cold act)," so if Activision has shit else to do but bite somebody else's work, whatever. Rare knows what time it is. You didn't see Free Radical biting other people's work.
Lack of artistic integrity in the industry frustrates me. |
