Gotta feeling they threw out that Mania match list to fuck with people. Dunno why they would waste Bryan on Sheamus or Cena on Wyatt.

If I were running things, I'd do the Taker/Cena match EVERYBODY wants to see. I mean Taker has to fight Cena at WM at some point, right? It would be just such a huge match and appropriate of the biggest show of all time.
Meanwhile, Lesnar being brought back by Triple H just makes him seem like a perfect choice for the "corporate champion". Have Bryan win the Rumble and Lesnar win the belt at the Chamber, and you set up a fantastic match and star-making moment where Bryan gets to slay the beast at Mania and finally win the title. They could still roll with Orton/Batista in that scenario, which would be fine as a middle of the card match. I just don't buy it as the WM 30 main event. |

Win or lose, I feel like they're saving Taker vs Cena for Taker's last match.

It doesn't seem very likely to me for some reason, but I do think that it would do good business for the WWE. I'm also not opposed to CM Punk winning the Rumble and then challenging Randy Orton at WrestleMania. It'd be relatively fresh and it'd be a good match. Daniel Bryan would face Shawn Michaels in my perfect world, The Undertaker vs. John Cena would go forward and Batista would face Brock Lesnar -- The Animal vs. The Beast. |

First time Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler did commentary together
-From November 1983: Lanny Poffo/Iceman King Parsons vs Butch Reed/Jim Neidhart in Mid South Wrestling -This was at a time that Lawler and Jerry Jarrett were asked by Watts to look at his promotion and help him out as business had dropped quite a bit Jarrett/Lawler told Watts he didn't have anyone that would appeal to the female fans Mid South soon thereafter got The Midnight Express, The Rock and Roll Express, Terry Taylor and Bill Dundee as booker and of course the feud with the Midnight's and Rock and Roll's ignited the territory once again with some really great tag matches Lanny Poffo/Iceman King Parsons vs... by Stinger1981 |

By that I mean walk into work, yell "WOOOOO!" in your boss' face and walk out only to come back the next day like nothing happened.

Here is what I think WWE will do for WM30:
Undertaker vs John Cena Orton vs Lesnar vs Batista WWE World Title: CM Punk (c) vs Daniel Bryan Goldust vs Cody Rhodes Shawn Michaels vs El Torito Ironman Hell in a Cell: The Miz vs Kofi Kingston US Title: Bob Holly vs Dean Ambrose Roman Reigns/Seth Rollins vs King Mo |

As for those proposed matches for Mania, seems like the least attractive line up you could do with the guys involved. Would probably prefer any other combination you could come up with from the 10 names listed. |

Truth be told, if the WWE wanted to make a shit-load of cash, then they could have The Undertaker return and win the WWE World Title at Elimination Chamber once Bryan wins the Rumble. It'd be an easy way to set up what is allegedly Taker's preferred Mania match. At Elimination Chamber you run Bryan defending his shot against someone (perhaps the rumored Sheamus match), you have CM Punk vs. Kane, and then you have Orton defend the WWE World Title against the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Batista, Alberto Del Rio and a mystery entrant in the Elimination Chamber. The mystery entrant turns out to be Undertaker, who can be protected in the match. Batista eliminates both Del Rio and Lesnar to look like a beast, but then Brock hits Batista with a bitter F5 and Orton manages to pin him. Cena takes the Tombstone from Undertaker and is pinned, and Taker then locks in the Hell's Gate on Orton for the submission victory to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Elimination Chamber then closes with Daniel Bryan and The Undertaker staring down. |

Doing some thinking on the subject, it seems likely that Brock Lesnar would be the obvious candidate to take on whoever is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Elimination Chamber. Cena vs. Lesnar fits the face/heel dynamic of things way more than Orton vs. Lesnar, but Orton vs. Lesnar could work as far as heel vs. heel battles go. Heyman would sell the match like a genius. It'd be the youngest World Heavyweight Champion of all-time against the youngest WWE Champion of all-time.
Lesnar could possibly win the WWE World Title there and become the champion heading into WrestleMania against challenger, Daniel Bryan. Orton would be owed a rematch and would make sure that The Authority knows it. But Brock Lesnar doesn't fight for free. A Triple Threat Match is signed between the three competitors for WrestleMania XXX, which also decreases Daniel Bryan's statistical odds, which could make The Authority quite happy. John Cena would then face The Undertaker, CM Punk would scrap with Triple H and Batista and Sheamus could join forces with another babyface to challenge The Wyatt Family. That face could be anyone from Rob Van Dam to Mark Henry to Big Show to Kofi Kingston to Rey Mysterio. Depends just who they want to get on the card. I'd probably go with Big Show returning from a Lesnar-inflicted arm injury and presented as a "big deal" again. Jeff Hardy could be brought back to the company and he could team with Christian against The Rhodes Bros. at Mania to give the Tag Team Title match a special feel. Two of the greatest tag team competitors of all-time forming a new union to take on the current champions. AJ Lee would also defend her Divas Title on the PPV, and while I would mark the fuck out for Kharma returning to challenge (fuck you all, I still hold onto hope), she could also face Paige, Emma or Trish Stratus and make it feel like a fresh and interesting match-up. Big E. Langston could defend his Intercontinental Title on the show too. His friendship with Mark Henry could lead to a title match, but I'd like to see Langston make the challenge to Chris Jericho, the most prolific IC Champion of all-time, for the show. That would be a seven match card that would use up most of the talent that you really want to feature at WrestleMania. I suppose you could squeeze in an Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio Hair vs. Mask match, since those two guys are likely to make the card too. That's eight matches. Then you can have a Piper's Pit segment with Piper interviewing someone who matters. How about we go with Ultimate Warrior cutting an insane promo. The Miz interrupts and says that this should be Miz TV and not Piper's Pit. Fandango interrupts and dances. Wade Barrett has some Bad News and The Real Americans think this is all stupid and it's a shame they're not the card. Things break down and then Hulk Hogan makes the save and stands tall with Roddy Piper and Ultimate Warrior to close the segment. |

Has some similarities to WM 20 as well in that it's the moment the vast majority of people want to see, yet nobody will believe it'll actually happen until they see it. Regardless of how long a potential Bryan reign lasts, I just think they're fucking nuts if they don't go with the guy who has been unbelievably shit hot. Can just imagine 80,000 people in Superdome YESing to close out the show. WM was made for moments like that. |

I just have never paid any attention to ROH aside from just watching random matches without knowing their backstory, even in their glory days. I know Cliff Compton is working an angle with Kevin Steen or something which is cool as I'm a Compton mark, but other than that I know absolutely nothing about what's going on with the company.

I think ROH puts on a pretty fun "live show", but it just doesn't translate to good TV.
Their fast paced finisher after finisher style is like "Ha ha ha this is fun and crazy" live, but when watching it on TV it's like "slow down, bro. Let it breathe." |

classic moment from World of Sport Wrestling
Kendo Nagasaki (Peter Thornley) unmasks for the first time in 15 years -This unbelievably would actually turn Kendo into a bit of a face for a little while the guy in the blue robe at the start was Kendo's manager 'Gorgeous' George Gillette I have always found British Wrestling to be fascinating British Wrestling back then didn't really have any sort of storyline - It was just Wrestler A hates Wrestler B |
