Bubba Ray Dudley has been involved in a Twitter interaction. He and D-Von want to show Harper & Rowan the proper way to do a 3D. Harper & Rowan want to show The Dudleys "The Way." Bubba says that he hopes the suits Harper & Rowan are trying to appease will allow it. Fuck it, let them fight at Battleground.

Sheer brilliance.

I think Cornette's issue with Owens and Generico were issues that, when addressed, would have made them bigger deals in both ROH and the business in general. Because both have ended up doing what Corny addressed.

But Corny was wrong.

One last time:

Vote for Dark One and Droford (.GIFford) in Tag Team Turmoil so we can crush The Authority. You have like an hour and a half left.

I will positive rep you forever. Or at least until the forum tells me otherwise.

All I can think of with calling it "THE WAY" is that fastball song with the lyric "where were they going without ever knowing the way "

Dirtsheets sponsored by John Cena's US Title Open Challenge SWAGGIE TIME:

According to Dave Meltzer on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Mickie James was written out of TNA storylines because she has a series of booked dates that conflict with the next set of TNA tapings this month.

TNA ran an angle with James Storm and Mickie that saw Storm shove her on some train tracks after revealing his motive for their relationship, and Mickie’s rejection. Mickie is advertised for Miami SuperCon on June 25-28, and the TNA TV tapings are June 24-28 in Orlando. Mickie herself has noted in the past she was back for a short run only, and it’s still possible she could appear since the locations are about four hours apart, but Meltzer noted she may not return for awhile, or at all.

Rey Mysterio's next appearance in the U.S. will be on 8/22. Mysterio will be working the Pro Wrestling Syndicate event in Sayreville, New Jersey. Mysterio will team with Habib from The Car Wash

As seen last night on RAW, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper are now using the 3D as their finisher full time, which did not sit well with Bully Ray and Devon on Twitter. Rowan and Harper are now calling the move The Way.

This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw did an average viewing audience of 3,644,667 viewers on the USA Network. That is down an average of (-329,000 viewers) from the week prior.

Below is how the show did each hour:

Hour one – 3,678,000 viewers
Hour two – 3,609,000 viewers
Hour three – 3,647,000 viewers
On one hand, no bad hourly drops and sports games likely the usual culprits but on the other hand, going to the 2 week model hasn't really improved ratings nor viewership.

"...I didn't know what Paul E was going to ask and he started talking about Brock Lesnar and Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas and of course boy I bit hook, line, and sinker Stone Cold mode. Started cutting a half ass promo, wasn't trying to, and ended up talking about me whipping Brock's ass because as Stone Cold Steve Austin that's the only way I can see that match going down. But here's the thing, what I did was kinda raise the hopes of people or half way kinda half assed booked myself into a match which was not my intention. So at Wrestlemania 32 I don't believe you are going to be seeing Brock Lesnar and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same ring. It wasn't my intention to spin a match or sell a match, so I just wanted to make that clear for everybody... Brock Lesnar will continue down the road he's going down, I'm going to continue going down the road I'm going on which is doing podcasts..."
Stone Cold on if a match with Lesnar will actually happen at Mania 32 from a recent podcast episode. http://www.PodcastOne.com/pg/jsp/pro...542&pid=513148 (around the 7 min. mark)

Some other sheet news:
  • In a "WWE Did You Know" type fact, Cena's clean loss list gets expanded to 12 guys (Justin Gabriel and Roman Reigns) if multi-man matches are counted since Cena's 1st WWE title win. (Courtsey NeoGAF)
  • 2K Games confirmed WWE 2k16 will be shown during next week's E3 event.
  • For those interested, Alexis Bliss recently had an interview with 614Columbus website with some of the topics including Trish Startus and Rey Mysterio as big inspirations for her career. http://614columbus.com/2015/06/house-of-bliss/

Did James Storm really push Mickie James onto some train tracks? What? Was it implied that he murdered her?

Exactly. Cornette haters wants really bad to "LOL YOU WERE WRONG" him but... all he said Generico needed to lose the mask and the gimmick if he wanted to go anywhere. Which is exactly what he did. He said Steen wasn't gonna make it because he was too stubborn to listen to management. WWE management can make guys listen much more than ROH management though. Apparently Cornette didn't factor that in. Making a video with one real quote and like 20 fake ones to try to prove a point is pretty laughable though.

The one "real quote" was actually "Thank you, fuck you, bye." The other was amisquote taking way out of context. He has praised the work of both men. Only folks I have seen him trash from the ROH era "unfairly" were Cabana and Super Smash Brothers. The former is Ed Leslie 2.0 with a more palatable Hogan propping him up, the latter is a joke gimmick that would fly over most fan's heads.

The point was actually that he in fact does know more about the business and how it works than neckbeards in front of a computer.

I really want a four horsewomen stable.

Fuck, just have Page claim she is bringing reinforcements in for her battle with the Bellas. Have her bring them in minus Charlotte. Then have Charlotte show up, they turn on Page, and just demolish everyone. Of course they would ultimately split as I don't think a four person stable would be sustainable in the female division.

My favorite part of the contest for the replica Money in The Bank Briefcase with signed contract? The fact that you have to type "Yes" to acknowledge that you understand the contract is "for promotional purposes only."

Charlotte is obviously Flair
I'd say Sasha is Arn
Which I guess makes Becky Tully?
Leaving Bayley as Ole

Huh. Those parallels don't really work as well as I'd hoped.

Lana breaking up with Rusev in the WWE Universe to manage Dolph Ziggler has been a hot topic lately on the F4WOnline audio shows. Dave Meltzer, Bryan Alvarez and others are suggesting that Vince McMahon broke them up on-screen to facilitate a real-breakup, with Vince feeling that someone like Rusev shouldn’t be able to get a girl like Lana.

Normally when a real-life couple that is paired on-screen breaks up in kayfabe, history has shown that life may imitate art. It’s also common for the “new squeeze” to become the real life “new squeeze.” It’s an occupational hazard in both Hollywood and pro wrestling.
Transcript from a few shows regarding the past instances when an onscreen split lead to a real life split and vice versa of a onscreen pairing leading to a real life couple happening: http://officialfan.proboards.com/thr...kup-lana-rusev

The World of Sport TV pilot, designed to bring that European brand of professional wrestling back to TV on ITV, will not be going forward on it's former home as the network has decreed that professional wrestling no long fits it's broadcast strategies. Jon Chapman, who was responsible for producing the pilot, has placed the nearly 2 hour episode online for all to see.

The hope is that by releasing the pilot, it could show ITV that idea of relaunching World of Sport is a sound one. Obviously a long shot, but either way, for those of who have asked about the revival, you can now see the pilot episode above.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley underwent surgery on Tuesday, presumably another procedure on his back. Foley underwent back surgery back in September 2014 and noted that it was a minor procedure that they hoped would produce major results. He also wrote at the time that the operation was the first of several minor procedures that would have him walking around in less pain. In regards to the operation he had done on Tuesday, Foley wrote the following on Facebook: EAT, SLEEP, BACK SURGERY, REPEAT - I'm really hoping that today's minor procedure will provide major relief. I wonder how a guy like me ended up with a bad back. Hmmm... You can learn about this week's signings in #Philadelphia #SixFlags New Jersey and #EternalCon on #LongIsland at realmickfey.com

The other is that the look and character of the ROH Kevin Steen and the WWE Kevin Owens are essentially the same.

The doctrine is to keep this from happening again. So now the pressure is on Paul Levesque and that department to get guys who have potential to some day be big players into NXT and signed to merchandising deals before they go to a company (ROH or TNA) that has merchandising deals and national cable deals in North America, and create a pipeline to find the ones with potential before ROH & TNA. A lot of indie talent, including the names noted in the past few weeks, had signed five-year deals with Figure Toy Company, so that company has the right to market Kevin Steen merchandise for nearly five more years while he may be pushed as one of WWE's biggest stars.

And WWE doesn't want this to happen again. For this reason, the doctrine is not to sign talent from ROH or TNA now for the main roster, and get the word out to young talent that if they have WWE aspirations, not to sign with either TNA (which most of the top young guys had heard) or ROH (which is new).

One person noted to this that all this came about because the Figure Toy Company deal and the Destination America deals for ROH came down at about the same time, and WWE had no knowledge of either of them. There will always be exceptions made to that rule, as with every rule. They may not have this doctrine for NXT given the idea WWE could be interested in some talent whose contracts are expiring from TNA for NXT, since that's not WWE Raw and people wouldn't have merch rights for guys on Raw every week.

WWE absolutely is trying to keep talent with potential away from ROH in particular for this reason and also because of the ROH getting those deals as well as the feeling ROH and NXT are competition for a similar customer base. The new concept of NXT that is no longer developmental is to deliver something somewhat similar as far as athletic talent on top that ROH does, and cater to the same fan base. This is actually a pretty major story right now.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes this week that the match will not be happening. Apparently reasons the match is not happening have to do with issues between Austin and Vince McMahon but The Observer wouldn't speculate on what those issues are. Vince was reportedly not happy with how the podcast ended because Austin vs. Lesnar is not in their current WrestleMania 32 plans.

Vince did not know Heyman and Austin were going to do the bit they did and immediately felt they were creating major interest in a match that was not happening. There was reportedly some sort of discussion between Austin and Vince after the podcast where Vince wanted the story to go away quickly and quietly with Austin addressing it once and then moving on.

That's about when Ring of Honor landed on national cable TV with their Destination America timeslot, so whether that was a factor I can't say 100%, but it looks like it could be. EVOLVE released a video thanking TNA for working with them around the same time.

In regard to stories making the rounds (some attributed to me) that WWE is buying WWN or that it will be a new "OVW" style promotion assisting developmental, there's nothing to those stories at this time - we are told that whatever this deal is, and it's not a done deal by any means, it's all still being worked out and that no "official deal" has been set in stone.

PWInsider reached out to WWN's Sal Hamaoui and Gabe Sapolsky but they did not return requests for comment. WWE has not responded to official requests for comment as of this writing, either.
Observer hinted if a deal is done, it won't be for good reasons and instead more for the petty reason related to the WWE not wanting other promotions to run events during Mania week. Also as a way to get a better foothold in China since WWN has a bigger presence there than WWE.

Some other sheet news includes:
  • Book detailing the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling in English is currently being planned for crowdfunding with the goal to start the fundraiser next month and release the book (e-book type) by November 2015. http://www.lionspridebook.com/about-the-book/

"Dave Meltzer, Bryan Alvarez and others are suggesting that Vince McMahon broke them up on-screen to facilitate a real-breakup, with Vince feeling that someone like Rusev shouldn’t be able to get a girl like Lana."
