If they had any inclination to actually make another SSX in the old style it would be made. Maybe they don't think it will sell. I don't think the Wii version did well, but I'm not sure on that. Regardless, I don't have a problem with them reinventing it as much as I have a problem with it becoming a sim. But I do agree that, realistically, it should be a separate franchise. |

SSX Blur did around 300,000 for sales on the Wii but the bigger problems were EA sort of half-assed the controls and critics were mostly split on the game being average.
I think the Skate team is making the new SSX game which explains the gritter and realistic feel instead of the traditional over-the-top action and characters that made the series popular in the first place. Then again, EA has done a lot of WTF and dumb decisions for 2010 so it make sense they end the year with another bad decision. |

Almost always playing a PS1 game. I put 100 hours into Final Fantasy IX on the thing. ANd now I am playing Final Fantasy 8. Sometimes I go on Netflix but I think it displays that cause I saw you on it once I think.

Guillermo Del Toro and THQ's newest game, inSane, announced to be part of a trilogy of games. It confirms the ending is either going to be a cliff hanger or end in a way that guarantees a sequel.
Seeing as THQ learned nothing from the Too Human fiasco of making a trilogy before getting any critical or consumer feedback, the odds on the series even making to a sequel would be slim. The first game in the series is set for a 2013 release date. http://kotaku.com/5712916/uh+oh-guil...e-is-a-trilogy |

Nice. Sent my bud a link so when I head down to Miami next week I'll be able to give this a whirl. There's also a few streams of this up on Justin.tv every once and a while.

Shigeru Miyamoto did the same thing with Zelda. Everyone was acting like it was the end of the world when the first images of Wind Waker were released, but the game was actually pretty damn good and the looked carried on for a few more games but nobody complained about it, then it went to the "dark and gritty" look with Twilight Princess and again, nobody complained. Infact, everyone wet themselves when the first images of Twilight Princess were released, and I know for sure that the look of it had nothing to do with CoD, Emo Kids or "but every game is like that now". But I digress a bit, the way to be successful in the computer games industry, and I guess in any industy, is to no be afraid to try new things. Be risky and just go for it. EA are definitely not scared to try new things and personally, I think their risks pay off. Also, with a name like "Deadly Descents" you can't really expect happy sunshines and crazy characters with real life environments. And they couldn't have made it a separate game as they already have the SSX series. Why would they make a snowboarding game not be part of their snowboarding series just because it looks different? But anyway, it's very clear that your doing the whole "judging a book by it's cover" thing, but just like Wind Waker, "Deadly Descents" might turn out to be a really good game. But yeah, like I said, I see nothing wrong with the new SSX and I actually think it looks and sounds interesting, and after I read more and see more of the game, I'll probably be able to tell if I'll buy it or not. But at the moment, I think I very well may get the game, but we'll see. |

They stopped making Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii and now it's super expensive. Feel like the same thing is gonna happen with Super Mario All Stars. Wonder if it's worth it to buy it

It's just the SNES version of All-Stars on a disk. May as well just get an emulator.
And Tricky on Gamecube. |

Also, the Gamecube controller is terrible for games like Tricky. Get the PS2 version.

The Gamecube controller is fantastic and the graphics and load times are much better on the Cube.
