Saw a guy at Wal Mart who looked exactly like the Miz, but only older, which made him look like Bob Backlund.

In conclusion, in 30 years the Miz will look like Bob Backlund.

Poor Del Rio. I love that guy, but he needs something to shake him up. Some time off will do him good. He can return during the Rumble Match and make a huge splash, perhaps with a slightly tweaked image.

I hope this doesn't backfire on Hunico. Love that guy too and want to see him get a push. He is really quite amazing.

Saw that as well, I didn't see that powerbomb from hell coming as Sin Cara looked to be struggling to get up on top a few times, my brother noticed the lack of cardio of new Cara and I brought him up to speed.

It was agreed at the end that this Cara should face Mysterio at Mania and have Cara powerbomb him to retirement.

Speculated to symbolize it being the 1st Mania to be streamed live on the WWE Network.

The WWE logo itself is the what it will look like on the Network and supposedly the might become the new overall logo for the WWE once its launched.

Well it does sounds like it could be true as the current WWE Championship has a giant WWE Logo on it, and if the WWE logo changes to what's pictured next to that WrestleMania logo, then a new WWE Championship will be needed, and the unification storyline is probably what's going to be used for introducing the new title with the new WWE logo on it.

Also, the idea of the WrestleMania logo having a "►" instead of a number is weird. It's not that big of a deal though as WrestleMania's I, XIV and XXIX didn't feature any numbers at all.

I've read that the plan is to make WrestleMania XXXI quite an interactive WrestleMania, so that "►" symbol could be a reference to that?

A match that should've been built up for months and ultimately led to a huge encounter at WrestleMania 30 was instead thrown together with little thought and even worse execution.

The combining of the company's two major titles should've been treated like a once in a lifetime event -- even though WWE did something similar 12 years ago -- that fans simply could not miss. In theory the match would be between the two biggest stars in the company and would help elevate them to heights they'd not yet reached.

But how can the WWE expect fans to show an interest in this match when neither champion has done anything to legitimize their own title reigns?
Orton was essentially handed the WWE Championship during his feud with Daniel Bryan. Not once during the series of matches with Bryan did Orton win without interference or help from another party. In his Survivor Series match with Big Show, Orton again was aided by Triple H before scoring the win.
Without a string of clean wins over legitimate competition, Orton will not be taken seriously as a champion. Even though he is no fan favorite, Orton needed to prove to fans he was worthy of holding the belt. Ric Flair and Triple H weren't always the most popular guys, but they still defended their titles without help and gave credibility to their reigns.
That brings us to Cena. A few months ago, when Cena returned from injury, he said he wanted to bring credibility to the World Heavyweight Championship. He wanted to make people perceive it as an equal championship to Orton's.

After easily disposing of Alberto Del Rio, Cena won that belt and began his quest to legitimize his title. The problem is that was only two months ago. It hasn't even been 45 days and yet we're supposed to believe that he's legitimized the title?
It doesn't help that we've seen Cena and Orton feud before, multiple times in fact, over the last few years. While both are no doubt superstars in the wrestling business, fans eventually get sick of seeing the same two guys feud over and over again.
The WWE has presented this match as "epic" and has tried to say that never have the top two wrestlers of their generations faced off with so much on the line. I guess Steve Austin and The Rock were washed up when they feuded.


But even if the WWE wanted to go with Cena vs. Orton, building it up over a few months would have done more to make fans want to pay to see it. Triple H could've come out on "Raw" a couple weeks ago and announced that the main event at WrestleMania 30 would be Cena and Orton in a unification match. Then, much like how Cena and The Rock was handled a couple years ago, the two could've had different matches against other opponents or with each other to "prepare" for the big match.
The winner of the Royal Rumble could've been awarded a title match at SummerSlam as a way to keep interest, and fans would have the proper amount of time to get invested in a unification match.


Sadly, the WWE elected to just throw together the match -- in a tables, ladders and chairs setting no less -- at a pay-per-view that only the most diehard fans will order. The WWE could throw us a curveball and not have a winner Sunday, but they've advertised the match as "there must be a winner," and I highly doubt they're planning on screwing the fans again.


At least, not purposely…

There is some I agree with there and some I disagree with.

Let's be honest: John Cena and Randy Orton have not feuded in ages. They pretty much had every match under the sun with each other when they did (except for TLC), but it was years ago. Cena vs. Orton actually seems like a fresh major attraction, really. The problem is that these two men have been picked by management to represent the generation, and at present, Randy Orton, in particular, has been surpassed or equaled by men like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Orton as a heel has also had a bit of trouble finding his feet. We're no longer talking about The Viper who got turned face because he was giving off those "Stone Cold" bad-ass vibes; we're talking about an Orton who freaked out after RKOing Steph, instead of relishing in it. We're dealing with a Randy Orton who is petrified that he cannot defeat John Cena. This hardly seems like a clash between equals.

Cena and Orton have also had pretty bad chemistry in the past. I don't know what it is, but neither seems to really lift the other's performance. That hasn't seemed an issue in this feud, as Cena has really brought the promo work and their interactions have not been clunky or stock; but it remains to be seen how memorable their TLC Match at the PPV is.

The idea of having this Cena/Orton title unification thing being like Rock/Cena has entered my head before.

Having them feud for around a year would be interesting, especially as both titles would become one at the end of it and it happening at WrestleMania XXX, but then I thought people would probably find the storyline to be getting a bit "boring" around SummerSlam time.

I don't mind the timeframe of the angle, to be honest. You get a champion and you put him against another champion. The only way I'd delay this is if they do the opposite title switch thing, where Orton pulls down the World Title and Cena pulls down the WWE Title.

A unification at Wrestlemania would force it to be a triple threat with whoever wins the Rumble. They want the unification match to be Cena/Orton, which is fine.
