I think that's actually a decent deal for TNA talent. They don't have to worry about possibly being stiffed by unknown promoters. The only way this really fucks them is if they reach the point where working indy shows every weekend would have exceeded the income they would have made at TNA, but the way this is structured it doesn't sound like that's the case.
TNA basically need to pimp out their talent. |

If TNA talent is getting no money from doing indy shows then why would they bother wrestling on an indie show?

TNA better be offering good money, because why else would a guy who can pull 1000 a pop from indie shows agree to have that included in his contract. Only if their guarantee from TNA is high. It COULD end up with TNA asking wrestlers to do too many shows to make up their contracts. |

You fucking muties don't seem to understand how contracts and pay work.
Tna used to pay guys X money to do their tna work, and it wasnt as much for most guys as you would think, since it was only so many dates. They were allowed to do Indy dates without tna having any say in it and make hat they want. Now Tna is signing the same guys to larger, exclusive deals. They can control when and where their talent appear, to give them control over their creative. Now instead of having to book their own Indy dates the front office does it for them, and the Indy pays tna. So tna can now lock down their talent to more exclusive and lucrative deals while offsetting some costs. And the wrestlers have a guaranteed pay day every two weeks from tna for probably as much as they were making, without having to hustle the Indy scene for bookings. If no one books, oh let's say manik if he still exists, h still gets his full pay regardless of if he works. Sure he loses a bit of control but the stability is worth it. This is very common from big names on the territory days. Andre was always paid by Vince Sr. And Vince would send him to wccw, awa, rocket etc and be paid for giving them Andre. This makes sense for tna since they can't normally pay big money since they aren't touring no have limited dates. Vince could own Andre then without having to pay him for all th dates he worked. |

AJ Styles as good as said he'd go to the highest bidder, wrestling the Tokyo Dome was big enough for him and fair play to him.
From what's been said, ROH and NJPW offered him 6 figures in a joint deal and WWE outbid them which is fucking impressive for someone who's never been in WWE before. Best thing for him is if he doesn't give that much of a shit of being at the very top of WWE, he'll probably be worth even more to ROH/NJPW after a WWE run if WWE aren't interested in keeping him for big money. Don't think TNA got to the point of offering money despite what they say. |

Just watched the decay debut, awful.
Besides the fact that it's the 10th time they have tried a goth stable, they dropped the ball. Girl has a good look. The music was great. But that was probably the worst promo I have ever seen. Made no sense, sounded like shit. Then randomly crazy Steve walks out as a joker rip off...but that is the worst name in the world. Then abyss comes out with his own tune with no explanation. Stupid names, great theme. Poor promo |

I can't help but think that WWE will be AJ's last stop before retiring, or at the very least before he totally scales himself back to a part time capacity in wherever he goes after that. He turns 39 in June and has been wrestling for nearly 2 decades, most of which with a really high octane style. Now he'll spend a few years doing WWE's really rigorous travel schedule. Tough to look past that.

I still like my theory that he's actually a homeless guy who wandered into the TNA home office one day to shit in a pot, and was confused for a wrestler by Dixie Carter.

I always go with the casual person flipping channels appeal
If someone is flipping through and sees Rosemary come out to a Manson song, and act all creepy, they will be possiBly intrigued. Maybe they watch a bit and like the product. That's how tna has to nab new viewers, they aren't a household name like wwe. But then when the crazy clown with a bullet hole paint job on his forehead that's cool looking is announced as CRAZY STEVE I think it just wastes the cool effects. Shit he could just come out and say a new name and no one would care, he's not established as crazy Steve where he has to keep the name. Have Rosemary come out and do her stick and Steve shows up and says his name is Hot Topic or whatever goth name they land on that's better than crazy Steve. |

Agree with that Crazy Steve could have a better name but he really seems invested in this Decay gimmick so I at least curious to see where it goes.

Sucks for Bryan STILL not getting clearance, other factors are definitely in play here.

I think it's great on WWE's behalf if they are genuinely not clearing him for health and safety reasons. If there are any underlying issues that people speculate (Vince not liking that he got so over, or whatever), then yeah, load of bullshit.
On a personal note I would absolutely love to see Bryan back in the ring. Would suck if he left WWE so he could wrestle elsewhere, and then get injured again, though. |

Yeah the way Roman was handled was dumb on multiple accounts. First off him essentially walking away under his own power made it look like he was taking himself out of the match. And then him coming out later like a house of fire just made me assume that he had decided to go take a nap so he could come back refreshed.
At least if he had been stretchered out, it'd have looked like it wasn't his choice to leave. Would have made his "house of fire" return later in the match look more Cena-like but still better than him walking out. The best combo would have been for him to stretcher himself out and then, I don't know, actually show some vulnerability when he came back in. Kevin Owens was still selling his match from 2 and a half hours earlier ffs. |

best idea would have been to avoid that spot all together, it makes no sense to power bomb him through the table and NOT put him back in the ring.
