On the plus side, Xenoblade is one of those games you can potentially find yourself immersed in for a long time. I've already clocked like 25 hours and I'm still in the first area lol. Mind you the areas are insanely massive. I'm shocked that the WiiU can even manage to create areas like this with no load times other than the initial one.
Regardless, you'll get your moneys worth out of it. |

There's a fair amount of copy & paste from the other games.
But it's totally different spin on what we're used to. You don't have guns and rocket launchers, and cars at your disposal. No scopes to line up that perfect headshot from afar. No money, no stores. Sticks and stones and plants is all you got. You're hoofin' it most of the game until you're able to tame the larger beasts to ride on. Although there are fast travel points to cut down on travel time. I'm having a blast right now. Far Cry 4 was alright but I hated the damn story. I'm sure you'll like this. Worse thing that happens is that you take it back and get your money back. |

Just bought Amplitude, Crypt of the Necrodancer, and Gone Home. Was only gonna get Gone Home, and Amplitude, but I found out dB sound works of Super Meat Boy fame did the soundtrack for CotN, so I had to pick it up.

^^^Indeed. I prefer 3rd person for stealth tactics as well. Gives you a much better sense of your place in the environment.

Not sure. Been literally years since I last played. Looking through the IGN psge though, I think it may have been Namir, the third boss. Also, I should've noted before, I'm restarting from the beginning, not starting at any boss fight.

Well for starters, DO NOT get the upgrade chip when all hell breaks loose. Makes the fight much easier.
After that, Typhoon and a high powered gun should bring him down pretty quick. |

LOL, cool, thanks for the tip. I just got through scouring YT & IGN, and it was Yelena Fedorova who was giving me fits.
I did notice a couple of nice "alternative strategies" to make all but the last boss a lot more manageable. I guess I'll see how I fare when I get to those points. |

She's easier. Cloak, grenades, typhoon, and gun. When she runs away, creep around. Look for the ripples in the water when she's cloaked. If you find her first, unload on her.

Well, first I've got quite a bit to get through before I get to her. However, I will take your advice under advisement.

Trying to play Xenoblade Chronicles X, but it is one of the most obtuse RPGs I've ever played. I have no idea how to start the next story mission even with the marker on my map and all my side quests seem to have no location for me.
I want to like it, but it's hard. |

They are kinda known for being obtuse aren't they.
Seriously though, I remember playing through on PS2 I think it was, and it was pretty bad. Think it was Xenosaga maybe.... |

Still wanna grab XCX. Are all these games the same "universe" as the original Xenogears on PS1? Really enjoyed that game except until the story got all weird

Worst part for me was sitting for nearly 2 hours and only actually experiencing 2-3 fights...... Other than that it was a shit ton of just running around with CMOS and reading. Bored me to death at the time and I never finished it. |

Working through God of War III...just killed Hephæstus...Kratos is fucking awesome.
UPDATE: ...Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I made it to the end, but the fucking thing freezes up in the credits every time it gets to the "Multimedia"sextion, preventing me from getting my gold "Vengeance Complete" trophy, thus officially beating the game. #FML Last edited by DAMN iNATOR; 03-05-2016 at 04:49 AM. |

Honestly, XCX has the best JRPG soundtrack I've heard in a while. Scan about:

Playing Twilight Princess HD. Never played it before because I hated the Wii. Went into Hero Mode too. Seems fun so far. Not a fan of being a wolf though but that should be better as the game goes on.

Mine came in yesterday and I got around to starting it today. I honestly barely remember the game since it was like 10 years since I've played it. As far as I'm concerned I'm getting a new Zelda game
Started Hero Mode, gonna use the Ganondorf amiibo too for more of a challenge |

I think you take double damage and there are no hearts anywhere to regain health. Found a fairy though in the second dungeon.
