I'm ok with Super-Wondy but I'm just indifferent to the DCn52 outside of Snyder's Batman and Azzarello's Wonder Woman.
I am curious to see where this Shazam nonsense is headed though. |

Just finished reading the Supergirl/Linda Danvers series by Peter David. It is quite good. Shifts tone a couple of times but manages to stay pretty sweet. Sad that the character is gone now.
Peter David has said that if the series wasn't canceled, it would have become a Birds of Prey type book, with a cast of Linda Danvers as Superwoman, Kara Zor-El as Supergirl, and Power Girl. Would have loved to see that. |

Just read the first two issues, and it was the drizzling shits. Like, literally the worst fucking thing I've read in years.
And whoever decided to use Jim Cheung for 1 cover, and not the book itself, is a fucking imbecile. Art is generic looking trash. Think I've seen hostess ads more impressive. |

Why not just reach into the bottomless money pit of WB and work on a good, live Batman show and not spend money on stuff like "Beware The Batman" and just produce a JLA cartoon in the same universe as Batman: The Brave & The Bold?

I'm curious what they will retcon about Tim in Teen Titans #0, in which his background is the focus.

I don't read DC Comics (except maybe a Batman now and then) but I'm very excited for the new tv show on the CW network called "ARROW" ...Holy balls it looks decent ..especially for the CW.

Yeah Arrow looks pretty good. Huntress and Deadshot being in there makes me excited, as they were talking like the show wasn't gonna acknowledge the DCU.

I gathered from bleedingcool.com DC has already retconned itself with the zero issues of Superboy and Demon Knights. That only took a year.

He's real life writer Neil Gaiman, who has epic nerd cred similar to Joss Whedon, but more international.

Though now that I think about it, I don't think Gaiman has ever actually written Superman or Wonder Woman, which kinda makes him an odd choice to be the guy who Clark goes to to get a book for Diana. If it were Alan Moore, maybe, but this seems kinda, I dunno......forced.

I guess, but so far everyone in the comic has been pretty strictly in-universe. Why break the fourth wall and start introducing people from the real world now?
I mean, I'm hoping there's a specific and integral reason for this-- especially since Gaiman's pretty legendary for his own metafictional writings, about the nature of storytelling and what characters and stories mean to us in the real world, etc. Little League hasn't let me down yet, and they've got the potential to do something really really cool here. If it's just for the sake of a cool nerd-cred cameo, then it's a real wasted opportunity. |

Maybe Sandman winds up involved somehow, either in the story or AS the story Clark buys.

I'm down with that. Sandman was awesome. And it's technically still in-universe since it took place within the DCU.

What's with all these comic francises lately not going with the character name, but trying something more dramatic, more striking, and more gay?
Smallville was a one-off that worked, I guess... but "Arrow"? "Amazon"? Not DC, but even the new Judge Dredd movie is just called "Dredd". Seriously feels like the next bunch of Marvel movies will be called "The Spider" and "X". Also, not trying to sound like a dick, I like DC comics and all, but I just feel that nobody gives a shit about Green Arrow or Wonder Woman. It's either Batman or Superman. |

My boss surprised me with the first three issues of Batman: Incorporated. He knew I loved comics but he didn't know which books I read. I just finished all 3....Good story just totally off the wall and nobody other than Batman/Robin I have ever even heard of. May continue the series who knows.

Well ain't the RFG a Batman villain? I mean I know they get passed around like a cheap deck of cards but I thought they stayed in the Batman part of town and don't get much into Star City.
Also calling it now....10 will be the Daughter of the King and Queen and fall in love with Green Arrow. |

Royal Flush Gang was primarily a Justice League villain. Though they fought pretty much everybody at one point. Became big jobbers.
