I think Batman is just a better and easier story to tell, not to mention the actors they gotten to play Batman and other characters in the universe (Liam Nesson) have been great |

They've been trying to get a Wonder Woman and Flash movie going for years, things just don't come together.
As for Marvel, after Iron Man, Hulk and Punisher, the only movie they've got slated officially for release is Wolverine for next summer. Nothing else is planned beyond that. |

Marvel has more planned. I mean, they have movies for Ant-Man and freaking Shang-Chi planned. Marvel really is better in the "give everybody movies" department.
DC needs to get on this. I want to see a Spectre movie. But only if they make it good. |

DC News Time Warp:
From Beetlejuice to Batman?!?: Michael Keaton [Beetlejuice, Clean and Sober] has been cast as... wait for it... Batman. Yes, Tim Burton [Director] appearently digs him from his experience in Beetlejuice and believes he has the ability to convey his version of the Dark Knight. The Beetlejuice guy? Really? I like the movie but c'mon... Word is Jack Nicholson [The Shining] was approached a while back, but has yet to be signed pending "several demands". Here's hoping he gets on board, Jack is the man. Still, if I see Paul Reubens as Robin or Batman crack a Beetlejuice line I'm gonna walk out of the theater. Let's pray Tim Burton does justice. |

I Go For The Trailers...:
Rumored trailers preceding TDK are Watchmen, Dragonball, Star Wars Clone Wars, Harry Potter 6, Terminator Salvation, and Body of Lies. |

Ignorance Remains Bliss:
IGN just posted an article that a TV show based on a young Bruce Wayne was nearly a reality. It was whispered about in the late 90's/early 2000's but was shelved when superhero movies made their comeback with Blade and X-Men. I guess in all fairness the decision gave us Batman Begins, but that was in 2005. Had the show come to be we would have got a good number a seasons, and maybe various crossovers with Smallville (Hercules/Xena). The show would have had a young law student Harvey Dent, med student Harlen Quinzelle, Dt. Jim Gordon, possibly a child Barbara Gordon, and an angry comic named Jack Napier. That show would've rocked. |

Brave And the Bold Trailer:
I like seeing the new Blue Beetle animated but this is the kind of Batman I hoped never to see again on TV. It looks insulting even next to other kid-focused programs. |

Wonder Woman Animated:
The next DC Animated DVD will be about good old Diana, in an origin story that presents her as young and adventurous. They'll hoping it to be the Wonder Woman movie, striking cords in girls the way Superman and Batman does for boys (though I personally believe good movies are beyond gender tastes). Yes; Bruce Timm and Andrea Romano are behind this (father and mother of the DCAU). So everything's cool. |

DC Universe Welcomes...:
In the comic realm of things, DC has recently aquired Archie and Milestone comics. Their characters will slowly be integrated into the official DC Universe. For Milestone, this means Static Shock (who was apart of the DC Animated Universe) will be coming over as an official character. Hell, he's already planned to join the Teen Titans. |

I always loved the old DC/Milestone Worlds Collide crossover. Wonder if the characters will remember it or if it has been retconned.

Wonder Woman is probably the only DC character I'd be interested in seeing a movie for. That and perhaps the Justice League.

Smallville Gets Serious:
With a show people are saying is limping a season or two too long, you gotta wonder how it will handle the crushing blow of Lex Luther leaving the show, along with Lana "Chun Li" Lang (yes I know the real actor's names, I just don't feel like spellng them). Well, at CC the handlers of the show revealed that new villains will arrive to fill the void (two for the departure of one, Lex was a serious addition). One is a new character filling the 'blue colar' villain act, a role I had hoped would be Thalia Al Ghul; but is instead a new character for the show. The other is a paramedic, a truely nice guy by day... And Doomsday by night. Another tidbit is later in the season we'll get to see the Legion of Superheroes make a visit. I love Smallville, and I gotta see how they manage out this season. It should be interesting. |

Why is doomsday a paramedic?...that doesn't sound good, not good at all. Couldn't they have just made doomsday......doomsday.
