A tad underwhelming for a 100th entry, but congrats to him. |

Y: The Last Man has finally got a director attached to it: Dan Trachtenberg
He has zero film credits, but has done commercials and this thing: |

Y: The Last Man would probably make a better TV show than a movie. Nevertheless, I will be excited if the thing finally gets made and looks to be decent.

Not sure where else to put this, but the guys at ScrewAttack, with help from the folks at Kanzenshuu, The Dao of Dragonball, the Superman Home Page, and the Superman Super Site, have put together probably the most extensive and exhaustive breakdown to finally settle the old "Superman vs. Goku" debate once and for all:

I enjoyed that way too much. Goku was kinda a dick, though.

Listening to this theme right now. I really "dig it" as a "Superman theme". They reused this theme in Superman vs The Elite. |

Decided on a whim to read through Preacher again.
I haven't touched the books since the series ended, and I'm loving it just as much as I did back in high school. |

Anybody know a good Clayface arc for Batman? Looking for specific issues or a graphic novel

Alan Moore wrote a story about Clayface once. Batman Annual #11. Not about the one people are most familiar with, but I remember thinking it was a cool story.
I also remember something about a "Mud Pack" storyline that I had maybe one or two issues of when I was a kid but remember nothing about. |

I like how they are interviewing the kids who they rescued, but Stephanie Brown is nowhere in sight.

Big ups for Static Shock, though. |

Dude, Stephanie Brown wasn't a metahuman. Only Meta Humans were in the hallway.
You guys are looking too deep into the conspiracy. technically Stephanie Brown wasn't abducted long enough to have had any contact/experimaentation with the reach. |

Was it just me, or did Captian Atom look 'depleted' after he tried to blast the pyramid?

They still would have questioned her, as they did Blue and Impulse. It wasn't an interview, it was an investigation. We're not calling it a conspiracy, but there's a good chance she was removed from whatever they had planned for her.
Or maybe it was a cameo that would lead to nothing anyway, but bear in mind there is a generational theme with this season as the original Team have their own proteges. It may have been planned that Barbara would recruit Steph as a new Batgirl (or simply Spoiler if DC wants to sell Babs as THE Batgirl right now). I wouldn't put it past them. And while it would be easy to remove Steph or recolor her hair, the best flag would be any plots involving Babs that should lead to a Steph introduction/promotion but doesn't. |

Yeah I kinda like him. He was fun. Billy gave him the comedic squash beat, though.

The Dark Knight Returns Part 2. It was great, but I HATE that Superman is a tool for the government. I like him, so seeing him do stuff like that makes me disappointed.

It's called story telling, dude. Never get that attached to a fictional character. How Superman is portrayed in that story makes perfect sense not to mention it set up the Bruce/Clark dynamic that echoes to this day.

Part 1 is good stuff.
I think Peter Weller is the 2nd best Batman that I've heard. I give him a nod over Bruce Greenwood. Who is also good. Weller is perfect for The Dark Knight Returns. |

Something about Weller reciting Frank Miller lines is great justice for me.

Yeah I agree.
Like I can't picture him being a Batman for any other story. His voice fits the Bruce Wayne is a psychopath from TDKR. I don't know if he would work on any other Batman related thing. |

Considering it was the 80s and Byrne's Superman at the time was kind of a Reaganite yuppie, I wasn't too upset with it. Yeah, it's annoying to see one of my favorite characters written to be an idiot, but A) it serves the purpose of the story, and B) it's an Elseworld story, therefore non-canon, so even though I don't really care for DKR, that doesn't really bother me that much.

I meant to make some picks when you did, but got sidetracked and forgot about it until the first round or two of cancellations had gone down.
Can't believe Hawkman has made it this far. It's gotten better recently, but it started out so poorly I didn't think they'd give it a chance. |
