Saw VI - 6.5/10
Usual gore. Plot line is starting to develop. I marked the fuck out when I realized Eddie Winslow was in the movie. |

Where The Wild Things Are - 8/10
Pretty good. Visuals and "feel" of the movie were incredible. Story was pretty good but some parts kinda "dragged." Kept thinking about it and wanting to re-watch it the next day though. Frownland - 5/10 Dunno. Just felt "mad uncomfortable" for most of this movie. Was pretty much what I expected though. Might possibly be impossible to "really like" this movie. Visioneers - 4/10 I tried to finish this movie four times. I could not do it. Such a good recipe for a movie, with Zach Galifianakis and pretty good directing and a good concept. But the movie just was really shitty to me. Did not "give a fuck" about it at all. Insanely boring. Gonna try to finish it one last time soon though. Got about 25 mins left. |

Really enjoyed this. Spaghetti Western style film only set in Macau prior to it being taken over by China again. Surprisingly feel good |

A Serious Man - 8/10
New Coen brothers movie. Tremendous. Pretty much about some guy whose life starts falling apart around him and things just keep getting progressively worse. Good stuff. Mary and Max - 9.5/10 Oh God this was great. Loved this movie so much. Claymation about a lil fat girl from Australia who writes letters back and forth to a big fat guy in NYC with Aspergers played by Philip Seymour Hoffman. |

House of the Devil - 8/10
Horror movie styled after 70's/80's horror flicks set in the early 80's. Slow build to a pretty crazy ending though it wasn't exactly the ending I was looking for. It was written/directed by Ti West whose only previous claim to fame was doing a Cabin Fever sequel that hasn't been released yet. This was on HDNet Movies and was one of their "On HDnet before it hits theatres" deals. I wouldn't spend 10 bucks to see it (and chances are your theatre probably wont be showing it anyway) but look for it on DVD when it comes out sometime soon. |

Curious Case of Benjamin Button 7/10
That was a bit mental, went into it with absolutely no idea of anything about it other than Brad Pitt was involved. Quite enjoyed it even if it was crazy. |

Paranormal Activity - 6/10
I liked it because it was different from traditional horror movies, but at the same time that made it not scary at all. Worth a dollar theater trip or downloading I guess. |

Also, I would give Paranormal Activity an 9/10. I found it particularly creepy. Apparently there are different versions of the movie that have a lot of differences. Theatrical and DVD were different. Some screeners were different. Like, a few endings floating around.
SPOILER: show Mostly, I really liked this movie because not very many movies really make my skin crawl like this did. |

^Yep. Just did some reading about the other endings. Honestly one of the better movies I've seen all year.

Childs Play - 8/10.
FIrst time I've seen it in a long long time from beginning to end. I mostly saw this movie on TV in bits and pieces. The part where chucky is in the fireplace at the end is so unintenionally funny. Me and my friend were cracking up at it. |

The Proposal: 7/10
Some funny moments, but it's your standard chick flick type movie Orphan: 8.5/10 Great fucking twist in this one. very clever. It reminded me of Good Son, especially with the whole tree house thing and the frozen pond. The girl who played the Orphan is a really good actress for being 12 years old |

Runaway Jury - 7/10
Enjoyable enough, nicely paced, story was pretty good. Any film with John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman and Jeremy Piven deserves to be better though |

The Candyman - 6/10 - In some ways not your typical slasher flick. Candyman is a very polite killer.

Saw VI - 7 out of 10. Crowd I was with ended up laughing more during the film than being surprised especially during the merry-go-round trap.
Only seen Saw I & II before VI in the series but IV had some decent scenes. Last edited by Emperor Smeat; 11-04-2009 at 03:09 AM. Reason: Miswrote Saw 6 as IV |

Requiem For A Dream 8/10 - Great film. Not sure Jared Leto was the best choice for it though. A stronger performance/actor could have tipped this over the edge. |
