Basically on a Dragonball kick with some Madden thrown in, I gotta start RE7 and Arkham Knight at some point since I just now finally got the Next Gen stuff.

With my new laptop, I can finally play The Tesla Effect. Which I bought when it came out, but then my old laptop couldn't run it good. So I started that yesterday.

Aqua Kitty UDX
Bought it as an impulse purchase on the Switch since it was cheap and had the sudden urge to play a shump game. |

Restarting FF15. Originally stopped at the "dreaded" chapter 13, back when the game came out. Been enough changes, and I've forgotten enough about it where I decided to start over. Getting to play some of the boss fights over again is a plus anyway.

I really want them to finish the game before I play 15 again, so maybe I'll pick it up again in 2020+. Being optimistic there maybe. Curious to know if the patched in chapters get automatically inserted into a NG or they are strictly dealt with as bonus content.

If you're talking about the dlc character episodes, they are available to plah seperately from the title screen at any time.

Specifically the free ones they released via patch, there's a Gladio chapter that happens in chapter 13 that came out while I was still messing around in post game. They said there were more coming, didn't really keep up with it though.
I mean, like when you get to that part of the story where there's a gap, is the previously missing content filled in or does the main game just act as if it doesn't exist? I know it's probably just main menu access but it would be cool if they made the story "complete" eventually without dipping in and out. |

I dunno about any free chapters, but Episode Gladios, Episode Ignis, and Episode Prompto were 4.99 each

Just looked it up and it's called Chapter XIII Verse 2, and apparently it does automatically slot into Chapter 13 but you get the option to skip it. Doesn't look like any other full chapters were added but they have inserted more cut scenes into Chapter XII.

Lost power for a few hours during the Nor'easter that came through on Friday. Dug out the 3DS and fired up Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the first time.
And now, I can't stop playing it. So, Secret of Mana is on the backburner for a short time. |

Started Persona 4 Golden, can't stay away from this series. Seems more in line with 5 than 3 so that's good. I already know who the mysterious villain is due to the internet being the internet, but I've only beat one real boss and they've already thrown at least three other shady characters at me and I don't trust a single one of them. This is gonna be good.
Also SPOILER: show |

I don't know why they put friendly fire for magic spells in FF15 when there is seemingly no way to use them without hitting your entire group as well. Even using Ignis' regroup skill doesnt work, as the monsters are right back on top of you by the time you can move freely again.
Fuck em I guess. Just gonna have to grin and bear my poison lightning spell or whatever. |

Just beat Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition on Xbox One. I really liked it a lot, beat the game pretty quick but I played long hours. It's A LOT like GTA V but, different in that it's more focused, the world is less open, and the combat is a lotbetter. I also personally like the driving a lot better as well, I'm a much better driver in Sleeping Dogs than GTA.
It's basically a Kung Fu GTA, and you're an undercover cop so you're not as compelled to be a rampaging psychopath. One funny moment though when I went to the hospital two doctors were overheard saying "Yeah I don't know what's been going on the last few days, it's like someone is actually looking for people to run over with their car!"... Totally recommend it if you haven't played it. The martial arts combat is really fun and makes you feel like Bruce Lee defeating up to 20 enemies at the same time with only your hands, feet, and bad ass environmental moves. |

Still playing FF15
just got Ramuh and am going to retrieve the regalia from the base main criticism from this game from what I've seen is the story, but so far I find it better and more engaging than most of the FF games from recent years. |

5 and 6 are the only good stories in the franchise. So odd it gets known for amazing story telling when at absolute most there are 4 games people routinely bring up about ffs story. (6,7,8,10)
Good leveling systems. Great score. Thats FF. AND 15 DELIVERS. Story gives you just enough reason to continue playing the game. Speaking of great scores being able to play any of the ff scores at will is great. Ff13s score is top class and makes ff15 better. |

Ultemecia is an underrated villain. Liked her a lot. Amazing multi stage Final battle, with multiple awesome tracks
Wasn't able to get into FF13's score from what I heard, but I didn't play it long. Might go back to it, just for the sake of giving it another chance if it comes to BC or if there is a remaster. Still hoping for a square/Nintendo deal where all the non-online FF games get ported to switch. |

Also, yeah, 6 had the best story so far.
Kefka chucking the emperor is still one of the most shocking and memorable moments to me, in all of gaming. |

Played some GTAO for a significant amount of time for the first time in a LONG time last night and it was quite productive. Me and literally one other guy who was only lv. 40+, neither of us with hardly any flying skill, somehow BS'd our way through the hospital setup in Act I of the Doomsday Heist. Right after, got through the government facility one where you have to hack 4 servers. Was sometime over the weekend when I did the taking Deluxos to hack armored cars/boats/a big ass jet and destroy all the vehicles so I was ready for the Heist Finale. Got through that to the tune of $260k with me @ 40% and the other 3 at 20%. Followed up Act I completion by doing all the painstaking preps for Act II set ups...curious to see what the cop vehicles' roles will ultimately be in Act II Finale.

Currently on Summer break in Persona 4 Golden, just beat the summer boss and I get a feeling the big twist is coming up. I'm really behind with my social links, as is tradition. Probably should decide which girl I want to go after really soon, I've narrowed it down to two and have one party member at rank 9 already though so I don't think I'm slacking as much as P5. Oh, and the social link perks do exist here but only for party members, so there's more of an incentive to get to know them over NPCs.
The bosses are all really well done, loved the latest one with its special version of the boss battle music. The dungeons are much more palatable than Tartarus, but nowhere near as enjoyable as palaces. Out of the three games I feel like I've spent the least time in combat here and there's been no need to grind at all. I hear that's because everyone got a huge buff in Golden and made it easier, so tempted to turn the difficulty up when I do NG+. Also, SPOILER: show SPOILER: show |

Golden isn't too much of a leap backwards compared to 5, only real area where it doesn't measure up is the dungeons / combat and I guess non-party social links not giving perks. I'd imagine vanilla P4 leans a little closer to P3 though.
Have you finished watching? I'm at the end of November. |

I can understand that. Was worse in 3, where you spend 50% of your time in Tartarus. I'd say it's barely 10% of the game for me in this one. Definitely a lot less than in P5.
