Up: It was ok, but I thought it would hold my attention a little better then it did. Not really my kind of cartoon/animated movie. 5/10
Land of the Lost: I wasn't expecting much, so it was decent. There were a few really funny parts, but you kind of have to be a Will Ferrel fan to find them funny I guess: 7/10 District 9: In the beginning of this movie, I was like what the fuck is this. horrible. but then after about 20 minutes it became awesome. loved the rest of the movie. It was kind of a refresher to be rooting for the aliens against the humans. 9/10 |

Boy, the Coen Bros. sure know how to make a movie. And Gabe Byrne was the man back in the day. |

Public Enemies 7/10
I enjoyed it, but it wasn't that great. For some strange reason Im sticking by The Untouchables as my favorite Gangster Movie even though I know that it wasn't nearly as factually accurate. |

The Good The Bad and The Ugly - 10/10. Why not? It was good enough. Very cheesey with the western music whenever Clint Eastwood was on screen.

Goodbye Solo - About the friendship between a Senegalese cab driver and an old southern white guy. Thematically the film digs deep, but I guess it was the interaction between the two main characters that really made the film exceptional. 9/10

The Magic Roundabout (UK version) 8/10. Pretty good for a childrens film. I admit, I chuckled at a few points. Worth checking out if you have a young kid or young relatives over.
I found out that the US version, called "Doogal", is awful. I watch a comparison video and, for some reason, they replaced all the UK actors with US ones, changed the dialouge and threw in a bunch of fart jokes and pop culture references which is sort of the opposite of what the film is supposed to be. One character even talks about Master Chief from Halo. Kinda bugs me that they ruined a decent film (and other tv shows in the past) just because it was full of English people. |

The Man Who Knew Too Little - 4/10.
Paranormal Activity - 7/10. Missed the ending because the disc started to skip. The movie didn't freak me out and I should have no problem going to sleep tonight. Seriously. |

Drag Me To Hell - 7/10
This is a case of a movie being creepy but it was kind of a corny creepy if that makes any sense. The last 20 minutes or so were good though even if the ending wasn't painfully obvious. |

Because I haven't for a while:
Extract - 7/10 - Nice little Mike Judge film that I hadn't heard of until the good old illegal download showed up. Affleck is good and Bateman is Bateman. Did however feel like bumping the film up to 8/10 strictly for the 'OMFG HOW HOT IS MILA KUNIS' factor Avatar - 9/10 - Spectacular. Bit of a more 'adventurous' story and it could have had 10. Law Abiding Citizen - 4/10 - Meh. Can't decide what it wants to be. If they'd have gone with a straight up OTT popcorn flick, I'd have rated it higher but it tried to be more and failed. Gerard Butler is good good. Would have given it 5/10 if it wasn't for that 'It's gonna be biblical' line. The Insider - 9/10 - Crowe and Pacino owning the screen. Nuff said. Funny People - 7.5/10 - Really liked this. I know people complained it was too long but I didn't 'feel' that. Wasn't as predictable as I thought it would be. Not really been watching much film lately, still on a Sopranos start-to-finish binge. |
